That's a really good idea I hadn't thought of. This would be great for that.

Greatly appreciated if you can tell us how well/easy it is to scan 6x9 or 6x12 via stitching.

Absolutely. That will be some interesting panorama shooting trickery.

It does say on the box phone OR digital camera, but you're right: I cannot see how a DSLR or a even a light mirrorless could be used with that set up.

Ah, from their website: "Please do not mount your digital camera on the Smartphone Stand! The Smartphone Stand is not sturdy enough to support the weight of your digital camera safely. When scanning with a digital camera, we recommend that you use a height-adjustable tripod or copy stand to hold your camera steady for the best film scans."

That makes sense. I didn't see that, but yeah, I don't know of any lens for a mirrorless or DSLR camera that would work at that close a range.

I do miss your older (first) video about the calculations and setup of scanning negatives with a enlarger lens…. You have replaced the video with a newer one right?

It would make it easier to go straight to IG or other social media, and for photographers without a DSLR or mirrorless budget it could be a good solution.

I used a very similar setup with the Pentax K1000 David sold me. I got 39 images stored on one roll. I sent it off to The Darkroom and got back my scans in less than a week. I don't know, but it seemed a little redundant and the scans weren't very good resolution. I'm beginning to think David pulled another one over on me.
