I think X-5 pulled a "Cap in Endgame" and essentially returned himself to the point when he was taken out of the timeline... that makes more sense to me than him being there for years somehow

I'm really hoping you're wrong. Loki shouldn't be the one who recruits Moebius. Moebius should be the one who recruits Moebius. That way it's like a Moebius strip... a never-ending loop. That's the way his character arc should close out and demonstrate his acceptance of his role in the TVA.

I think it's interesting to notice that Sylvie also starts to care more about the people on the timelines. She calls her timeline home and she cares about her coworker getting home safely. When she was in survival mode she pretty much ignored everyone and killed a bunch of people. And now she saw so many timelines being destroyed at once and she was mad thad Loki didn't do anything about it. I think that will be the reason she eventually comes back. Because she starts to care.

The chat with the lad was quite sweet. I don't get why people disliked this episode. I absolutely loved it! I suppose the basement boys got sand in their manginas because there wasn't enough pewpewpow.

Loki is by far and away the best MCU show. The only bad thing is that it's only 6 episodes!

I don't mind a series only having six episodes a season, aslong as its quality stacked on top of quality. This season of Loki seems to be that so far anyway!

This Loki's arc has succeeded the original Loki's hero arc as he is concerned now about lives in danger. It's incredible. He still has the same gravitas as the Loki we know from 2012 but now is able to advise Mobius on the folly of his previous ambitions and still win the day. I'm Team Loki all the way and hope he gets to meet Thor one day (and both enjoy brotherly love), that would be the culmination of his arc, I think.

@@KelleranBinks in the MCU it’s established that his villainous ways are attributed to his not being recognized for his abilities. He tried one path that always led to failure, he is trying another whilst still maintaining his swagger. That is what we are excited to see, not the hero/villain tag.

@@KelleranBinks not really. Read the latest Avengers Arc by Jason Aarons. He is called Prime Avenger, the Avenger at the End of Time. We love redemption arcs as it helps us believe that we too can be redeemed. Being villainous and hateful is cool but very self-destructive

-I love the theory that Mobius is a variant of Jack. It would give another layer to Sylvie choosing this timeline to live in. -I think it's fun that Casey is the only TVA worker who has read the guidebook and fanboy's over meeting Ouroboros. -The theory that OB may be a variant of Kang is disproven in this episode. When OB tries to recalibrate the loom the monitor says INVALID TEMPORAL AURA. This proves that he can't be a Kang variant, if he was then his temporal aura would match.

It was weirdly satisfying seeing Loki smile for once for a second after Mobius called him the God of mischief.

We are they accidentally spoilt it in behind the scenes clip on Instagram 😂 It's blink and you miss it. It's Mobius wearing a blue Paranah employee vest, and him sitting on a jet ski.

Love how Loki just casually recap the Battle Of New York - with a "Rember that time..."😜

Does you guys remember when Sylvia was with Renslayer in the elevator and she asked her what her nexus event was? Ren just smiled sinisterly and said, “I don’t remember.” I wonder if that has to do with everyone at the TVA having their memory wiped.

I think my favorite scene is with OB and Casey. OB finally feels validated and appreciated. Some of us might have known people that work in the basement, they work hard and nobody knows them - OB finally gets noticed. OB is the sauce maker!

This episode was amazing! The fake out with torturing Brad was my favorite moment mobius ,and loki work so good together 🤩💚

I kind of disagree I feel like they wasted the whole episode literally doing nothing and almost accomplishing nothing until like the last 4 minutes .... They spent the whole episode talking bout stuff we mostly already knew I like the beginning and the end I just didn't like the between part

Slower paced episode than last week, but some intense moments and excellent performances all round. The scene of horror as the remaining TVA watch all the timelines being destroyed was powerful - especially B15. Also, she rocked that 70s look! It was very neat to have Loki conjure a bunch of London '77 punks - we are all Loki-esque agents of chaos and change!

Loki is such a badass I love his magic ability especially when he teams up with sylvie.

The show keeps getting better and better. Curious to see if we'll see the Council of Kangs soon.

I agree there is definitely a connection with Dox being Sylvie or even Brad being her son or loki's or even like an adopted one. Also Brad - 'Bad Wolf' is a funny play on Fenris. When Brad said to Loki, you think you're special but you're not, will be a call to something that indeed makes him special in some way. Looking forward to seeing everyones backstories , Mobius, B15, Casey. Ep 2 was good, loads happened. My fave bits being Loki in the Alleyway wirh Brad and again in the interrogation chamber. Old villain loki is a treat nowadays! I thought more would happen at Mcdonalds though, that scene felt rushed.

Just watched Loki S2E2 for 2nd time. First, General Dox is not an older Sylvie because she told X5 "we need to know what happened at the end of time!" If she was Sylvie, she would have already know what happened. Second, I am beginning to believe that the TVAis becoming Loki's "Glorious Purpose", a Hero to the Multiverse, and a Ruler of something greater that Asgard that he was destined to be. My fear is that he and Sylvie cannot stay together and remain happy.

So many questions after this episode! If General Dox is a version of Sylvie, then is it possible that Hunter X-5 is the child of Sylvie and Loki? If Casey has memorized the TVA book that OB wrote, how would he not know who OB is or what he looks like? Especially since he asked OB for his signature next to his own photograph? What’s the deal with the #17? What’s the deal with the Key-lime pie? Is it used to control their memories some how?

Literally, I was just thinking this the other day I bet Mobious was an Agent of Shield, that's why he's so good at his job. And I was thinking gee he actually reminds me of Coulson in terms of being passionate and badass when he wants to. Imagine if he was a variant of him! 🫠

loki using his magic was my favorite

General Dox being an older version of Sylvie makes sense. The way she tried to calm down Hunter X-5 in episode 1 of this season was motherly.

I really enjoyed this episode!! My favourite moments is when Loki used more of his magic and the fake out torture part with Loki and Agent-X15/ Bradley. I also enjoyed the Avengers 2012 call backs quite a bit!! Even though this Loki isn’t the same Loki we grew to love after the events of Avengers 2012, it’s wild and amazing how much this Loki has grown!! I can’t wait for season 2 to get crazier!! I’m so interested and hyped for Victor Timely Kang to come into the fold for the season!!

Loki being a "villan" was the best. Also, Casey and O.B.

Janis Joplin's Kozmic Blues ending this one with a poignant, heartrending, searing & aching ode to the pain of moving on & leaving people & things behind & being the one left, what a breathtaking song & perfect for Sylvie in the neon golden arches glow on the hood of a Ford pickup in a 1982 fast food parking lot

I love how Loki & Morbius totally played X-5 to get him to spill, also interesting use of tech to interrogate him. Very sinister. Tom Hiddleston owns! Not to mention, Morbius getting excited to have apple pie, oh while on the subject of pie ( I'm a pie fanatic like Dean Winchester lol), I want some of that key lime pie! Great episode and love how all those threads got purged, talk about cataclysmic. Edit I loved seeing Sylvie again, but her chilling on her truck hood was wholesome haha

I love how Kingo is low key connecting all these phase 4 and 5 projects . I wonder if he will be significant during Kang Dynasty and or Secret Wars

Looks like they need victor timelys temporal aura as predicted by you and me too.. This episode really used the talents of the whole cast and they shine bright, its a pleasure watching them work, and it kept me engaged. But Loki steals the show , I love to watch Hiddleston make the character feel alive and unique full of doubt, pride, sadness envy ect., he also gets bonus points because he is the star of the best on going show/movie franchise the MCU is currently doing.

The Brad Wolf name just reminded me of the whole Bad Wolf thing in Doctor Who in the first few seasons which we’re definitely my most favorite seasons

My favorite part of this episode is how much it resembled to season 1 episode one with Loki & Brad being similar when they first were taken to the TVA for questioning. At one point they both believed the TVA wasn’t real. I liked how the table’s were turned around with Loki being Mobius with questioning while Brad was Loki in season 1.

The loom seemed to be breaking down quickly, but I think the massive destruction of branches will slow the loom's destruction. This will give the time to "save" the multiverse.

Key Lime: Once you see it you can't unsee it! If I had to guess I'd say the prop department who made the key lime pie made it so that the green part was either inedible or not able to be cut into with the fork (or they were worried about multiple takes). Watch how awkward that seen is with both of them only playing with and eating the cream and not the actual pie.

Whole episode was designed to give Team Green more time to locate Miss Minutes and Renslayer , and or open the blast doors and fix the timeloom before it breaks down. It’s sad that so many branches were destroyed but it slows down the incoming temporal meltdown event . Clever

I enjoy how you can watch Loki episodes over and over, seeing something new every time. Definitely their best Marvel show.

Facts

Honestly, only 3 shows are good in the MCU and this is probably the best one. Love the writing, editing, just everything is so fun and new (which is hard to do in MCU now with 100 projects out)

i actually liked the segment where loki goes off on brad in the chase. like loki is supposed to be this mischievous sorcerer, but towards the end of season 1 and start episode 2, they make loki look so useless. at times i even forgot his literally a demi-god cause they just dont play on his magic. seeing that segment just really strung n chord with me, reminding me why i actually taught loki was a more interesting character than thor (in relation to the pre-end game avengers roaster)

the loki storyline is the tru timeline of the mcu whereas the different super hero films will now service as sort of one off comic adventures. also i loved the additon of loki admitting he wasnt thinking with a level head during his battle of ny.. cus loki is more tactical and intelligent than that movie allowed him to be and now its a reasonable reason

Talking about DW I don’t know if you caught the reference or if it was just a coincidence, but Brad Wolf sounds a lot like Bad Wolf…js. My favorite part was when we got to see Loki and Mobius eating the pie and having a fun moment just being content. Also, i think Dox is either an older Sylvie, or she is like Revonna and has been there since the beginning. Like I think He Who Remains has a small group of people who have been there since the beginning and if their mind was wiped it wasn’t like the others because they’ve played a bigger role.

I loved seeing Loki get back to using his magic.

I might have read into it too much but felt like them wanting pie was a reference to Men in Black 3 when young K says “My grand daddy always said if you have a problem you can’t solve, helps to get it out of your head… pie”

I didn't think that could be an older version of Silvie and it's great for the plot, and my favorite momento from this episode is they just talking eating pie, and also when Silvie sees Loki at the McDonalds

Really wondering who OB is and his connection to Kang. Doesn’t make since for him to be a regular TVA variant worker. He seems to know way too much and also never had his memory wiped since he’s been there

I think he used magic so much now is also a reference that he saw how strong old Loki in Season 1 is, and he now know he should use magic more and how powerful he actually is in magic.

Interesting episode although there are a couple of points the poster of Herbie Rides Again when Loki and Mobius arrive in 1977 is out of place as Herbie Rides Again was released in 1974 (the original Love Bug was released in 1968) I need to watch the episode again as there was also something out of place in 1982 where Sylvie is.

Ha! I had to rewind and rewatch that scene when Loki told about Tony Stark. (and I went to see the Love Bug as a little girl at the movies). Interesting theory about General Dox and Sylvie. Loved Casey fanboying over O.B. I did notice that guy in white just hanging out in the background and wondered about him.

OB still trending more than expected, The Zaniac character is a good addition to the show. The most funny and gorgeous thing is the atmosphere between Mobius and Loki, Absolutely amazing.

Another great episode. I loved seeing Loki playing villain once again. Btw, about the punk in London... the Peruvian band Los Saicos already did punk in the 60s 🤘🏻

Favorite moment was easily Loki pretending he’s trying to figure out the machine and the hunter starts actually freaking out.

Both episodes of season 2 was a 9-10 out of 10. Amazing. Idk what you mean by this episode being lackluster. This was amazing from start to finish

Here is something I noticed just now that I did not notice last week when we first heard the tape of Kang talking to Rivona Renslayer. Obviously, we know what’s the same actor playing all of the Kang variants. However, he is very deliberate in his delivery, and the way he voiced that recording is 100% identical to how Kang from Quantumania was voiced.

The Kang from quantumania might be the Victor timely/HWR I think maybe they just loop on time , KTC gets sucked in the core , which takes him back to the 1890s he becomes Victor Timely, forms and rules the TVA, wild guess tho

The moment between casey and ob when he wanted his autograph was hilarious. Both guys always good for a bit of humor ❤

I just noticed the tiny TVA sign on Mobius's tie. I don't know if it was there in previous episodes. The showrunners put an incredible amount of effort into the details. :-)

nice to see loki finding his GLORIOUS PURPOSE...to save the timeline

There was obviously a lengthy filming break between episodes 1 and 2. You can mainly see it in Brad’s longer hair, Tom’s longer hair and the drastic difference in acting on Tom’s part. In the last episode, he would *NEVER* of had the balls to torture Brad like that or use magic. Instead he would’ve just fumbled, shook in his boots and cried like he has been for the entirety of season 1… You can tell that Waldron left between this episode and last and Tom took over as writer and producer. Someone with *ACTUAL* talent, passion and knowledge on Marvel!

Wait wait wait. I think you might be onto something with X5 being Loki's son. 🤔 This would also support Dox being older Sylvie. Remember in episode 1 when B5 gave a disgusted side-eye to Dox who was giving big mommy energy to X5. A, "you are the father" Maury-style reveal would be a great way to pay that off.

Yes and they made a big moment out of young sylvie kind of being concerned that the young maccies employee would get picked up by his mom. Like she's fantasisng about being a mom or at least having some kind of family.

my fav moment is jus how honest Loki is with himself actually admitting he got in feelings cuz of stark, it was nice to see his character progressed

Favorite part was the torture cube scene. Good stuff from Loki!

The only issue I have with Marvel’s portrayal of Loki is how inconsistent they are with his strength and powers. One minute he’s trading punches with Thor and then another minute he can’t take out human TVA guards.

Favorite Easter egg in this episode . That they find sylvie in Broxton Oklahoma in the branched timeline . Same place they bring new asgard to in the seige comics , right after the secret invasion comics and eventually leading to the secret wars comics to

Idk if i will know Ren Slayer's storyline if i read the comics but my guess is that Ren Slayer and He Who Remains was in love but He Who Remains told Ren Slayer that Sylvie and Loki are going to be his successors and that led Ren Slayer trying to prune young Sylvie but she escaped. After that event i think He Who Remains erased her memory which is why she doesn't remember her nexus event from season 1. I think she will come up in the Victor Timely episode and her first appearance.

This episode gave me flashbacks back to 1982, when I was wearing that same McDonald's uniform. (Even the same color.) They even used the same cold drink cups (paper, not the plastic cups of today).

Zaniac movie poster actually looked like a interesting horror movie Or shall I say elevated thriller according 2 Brade Wolfe🤣🤣

If general dox is silvie, then that weird scene with her n the hunter (brad) are like almost hugging and really close together (game of thrones vibes) would make more sense bc what if he is lokis n silvies son

Charlie, is there any indication from Marvel on this / or can you do an explainer work on how “time” works in the MCU now? The events after He Who Remains has been a few days at this point(?) but hunters & Sylvie can be on the timeline to the tune of years-once someone goes through a time door, are we meant to take it as a narrative mulligan that they could be gone minutes or gone years? Side note, LOVING the more evolved Loki-like a sassy James Bond.

Brad being from a different universe, can be Loki's son, and Sylvie's. Being Brad and Dox are so close and verifying your theory Dox and Sylvie are the same person. Reminds me of Dox's character in Game of Thrones and her unusual rearing of her son there.

Could it be possible that the original timeline is 616 ,and the sacred timeline ( 199999) is the timeline that He who remains created?

So they must be going get Victor Timely to unlock the temporal ID signature for the Loom, meaning Timely = He Who Remains? I always thought Majors intentionally used similar speech cadences for these two characters.

No, he's just a variant of Kang. They all have the same DNA. That's why he'll be able to unlock the system.

Even if all Kang variants have the same DNA, they should have different temporal auras. He Who Remains is the only one with the correct temporal aura.

The Barn they were in at the end looks like the same barn from Avengers Black Widow interrogation scene. The Spaghetti Problem, poor Reed Richards.

I think at some point Mobius begins to “time slip” like Loki. So he should be the one to recruit himself. Jus as we believe a past Loki was the one to prune himself out of the future. A never ending loop for both of them. Hence, ouroboros…

Also like the clip of the sheriff, “so just chill out, drink a 7up, eat a moon PIE”

When you look in the background 11:46 that component that drop objects down “it’s a circle like with white strings” it look like the way the time line look now with them holding it together.13:28.

At the end Sylvie has the template the 1 that he who remained had that new all and controlled all so I'm interested to see what she does with it i think with them now finding ren slayers template sylvie should be able 2 track down miss minutes with that template

Can one of your upcoming loki videos explain how timelines and alternate universes work? Cause if the tva is protecting the sacred 616 timeline, how does alternate universes come into play? And would there be more than one Tva in the alternate timelines? im just confused about how it works. Please explain Charlie, you seem to make it all make sense 😅

I don't think that it is mobius' files at the end credits. i think that it is O.B. we kinda got a quick glimpse at who ever is there (i believe it was hands and a sleeve) and it looked more like O.B.'s hands and clothing then Mobi's.

This was probably my favorite episode of both seasons. Great story and great acting. B-15 was ON IT!!!

I'd say 199999 is what other universes have designated the mcu , while the mcu universe calls themselves the 616 , kinda like the cw Flash situation with the "you're earth 2 and we're earth 1" thing, And one could say that the MCU universe used to be the og 616 Universe or something close to it to have been called 616 before He Who Remains pruned and altered the timeline to prevent more Kang Variants, and this causes all the huge differences from the comics that we know today, then his "sacred timeline" Universe jus became 199999 to others while he still calls it 616, but then he dies and more Kang show up.. also what if the He Who Remains Kang in Loki is actually one from the comics? He's mentioned he's done this for years, so it could be possible that all those years were spent curating what we know to be the MCU then after another couple millions of years, he gets bored of simply just watching over it and so the events of Loki S1 & 2 and beyond happen

I think Mobius is hiding the biggest secret. Him not interested in finding out who he was is because has known the whole time.

Charlie these episodes just get Better and Better! Thanks for the Easter Eggs etc. my favorite is the ending where Sylie is stone faced…..determining next steps. #TeamCharlie
