What you want is the problem. If all shows were at a "certain standard" then they would all feel the same. There has to be a flow of up and down otherwise THERE IS NO SOTRY TELLING. I am not excusing Secret wars(trash lol) but I am really tired when people comare thing to Spider-man, Infinity War, etc. NOT ALL MOVIES HAVE TO BE AT THAT "STANDARD" (sorry had to vent)

It's not that loki is on another level its your relationship with the character and your opinion on which characters you like more than others. I'm currently watching Hawkeye for the first time and I'm loving it. I LOVED Captain America and the Winter Soldier. I LOVE Loki as well. Don't give glory over one show to another and I promise you'll begin to be just as hyped and excited for EVERY show just as you are for Loki. It's all about perception. Change how you see it and your overall enjoyment will skyrocket. Or just tell me I'm wrong and how I'm wrong so you can feel your sense of power and control over words on the internet. Your choice. My only comment.

I just wanna mention all the different ways we saw people die in this episode. We saw several people pruned, we saw Dox and her people squished in the box, we saw Miss Minutes fade away while being rebooted, Victor TImely turned to Spaghetti, and then the temporal loom explodes killing whoever might have been left at the TVA. And yet, none of these deaths are actually permanent, and more likely they are just going to loop back to the beginning like everything else has in this season so far

I think that Victor Timely's temporal aura was scattered across multiple timelines...giving rise to all the Kang variants, including He Who Remains. For some reason I feel the Kang we had in Quantumania was exiled during or after the events of Kang Dynasty, could be wrong, but as he told Scott Lang, he doesn't live in a straight line...so his story won't be either.

And they worked together untill they didn’t. And he had to destroy them. So the same way there already different Loki’s in different universes. I think the variants are on the other timelines regardless. I honestly can’t wait for the next episodes 🤯

What this episode had me feeling was how the old 3 phases had me feeling after every movie. There was some closure, but it leaves me with the question, "What now?" But instead of "What now," I felt "What the ever-loving hell is going to happen now?!" They left on a cliffhanger from an event that emphasizes a bad ending to a movie, while we have 2 more episodes left this season. Safe to say, I'm curious, and the characters in here got me attached! I think that's where the other shows are lacking a bit, besides Wandavision. Also, in that one scene that showed Miss Minutes cheesing 3 to 9, I never felt this sort of dread from a character ever since Iron Monger and Red Skull. Don't get me wrong, all of the other villians were formidable, but their contexts were of shades of grey; sometimes making you relate to the shade they are. Miss Minutes, on the other hand, straight-up psychopath, with no question or "being on the fence" about that thought.

I think that because Loki's timeline is already pruned, he's going to slip through time again. Meanwhile, because everyone else in the TVA probably still has a timeline, they're going to be sent back to their lives. Whatever the end goal is I'm not sure, so this may be stating the obvious, but there is a key moment in the episode that at least shows Victor Timely knew exactly what would happen when he ran towards the loom. It's all in hidden in plain sight through great performances, clever dialogue and pacing, and even the musical score. The moment (at least to me) is when Victor says he will go out instead of Loki. As soon as we see the loom, the score kicks in. It's easy to hear this and get a sense of doom and terror from the situation our heroes face, BUT, it's specifically when Victor exclaims, not pleads, "Wait! It should be me.", that the score takes a more sinister and villainous tone. Jonathan Majors really nailed it in this scene. He has to walk such a fine line here or else he risks giving it all away and he sells it perfectly. A great example of the talent Marvel was (still is?) betting on when they made him the next big bad of the MCU. This is where the cadence and characterization of Victor pays off. Victor has always been rather dorky, nervous, and fearful, so we have every reason to believe that he is afraid here (and maybe he is a little, if he knows what's about to happen he knows it's probably going to suck), but the look on Victor's face isn't one of fear, it's one of longing. When he puts his glasses on and sees it for the first time he becomes entranced. There it is, his destiny is calling. Even when he is speaking or other characters are speaking to him, he can barely take his eyes off it. This is where his façade gives way to his eagerness. Listen to the dialogue. When Loki tells Victor he doesn't have to do this, Victor replies, "But I do." That "but" is very important. It implies that Victor going is the logical choice and that he may even feel obligated, but that "but" also implies that he knows he must go in order to get what he wants. He then gives a pretty hurried and simple excuse for someone so brilliant. "Something wrong could happen and I know how the Throughput Multiplier works." Eh, good enough for me, right? Except the show and dialogue so far have been far more clever than "Good enough for me's". The writers aren't the ones in a hurry, Victor is. This is him trying to bullshit a reason as if any of the other characters actually needed convincing. Even when Victor delivers that "Something wrong could happen" line he sounds like he has to come up with something quick. Listen to how Majors hits that "wrong". Because Victor has had quirky speech patterns the whole way through, we the audience have been trained to get used to hearing emphasis put on words that normally wouldn't call for it so now we dismiss it every time. Now, when he intentionally puts emphasis on a word that changes the context of the line, we don't even think about it. O.B. then jumps in saying there's no time to argue and they must hurry. Because of the situation and pacing of the scene we aren't given any time to linger on or question things. The characters actually do have to hurry. Look at Victor's body language here. When O.B. is telling him what to do Victor still can't look away from the loom. He's not even listening, he already knows what he has to do. When he finally does look at O.B. he puts his hands together in a way that almost looks like he is waiting for him to finish speaking so he can move on. Just smile and nod. As Victor heads down the stairs he tells himself, "Time to be brave." He's been both been waiting for and dreading this moment almost his entire life. Here's where the score plays another trick on us. As the doors open this heroic music starts to build up, getting us pumped, and when Victor takes a few steps and is immediately spaghettified the music comes to a sudden halt. This creates a sense of underwhelming failure helps establish a jarring shift in tone. Our reactions are the same as the rest of the characters at this point. "Wait, what the fuck just happened? That's it? After everything?" It's hard to process. Since we have been lead to believe Victor is on the same side as everyone else, when the characters are left facing their failure we extend that failure to Victor as well. It feels like everyone failed when it's really Victor/Kang/HWR (whichever one or maybe all three) who succeeded and everyone else failed. Again, stating the obvious because we all know this somehow leads into the multiversal war and Kang Dynasty and whatnot, I just believe this scene cements the idea that at least Victor knew exactly what was going to happen as well as being a masterclass in misdirection and audience manipulation thanks to the direction, performances, music and editing. *One thing I forgot regarding Victor's "death". One reason it is easier for the audience to believe Victor was killed was because O.B. established in the beginning of the season that the body gets turned into spaghetti when sucked into a black hole or whatever. Sounds awful and there is nothing O.B. mentions beyond that. You're spaghetti, you're dead. So, when we see it, yeah, it's awful and we're made to believe that it means death. Another example of the show using information that's been given to us or, in this instance, not given to us, to lead us to false conclusions. This is more or less assuming that whoever actually did write the TVA handbook purposefully left out what happens after turning into spaghetti, most likely to deter anyone from actually trying it. Or I'm probably wrong and Victor really did turn into the goddamn bowl of spaghetti Michael Keaton's forking around in in The Flash.

@@hightolerance8728 Well, you're getting into the complex nature of time travel. The idea is that at some point a 31st century Nathaniel Richards, a descendant of Reed Richards, becomes Kang and as a result of the multiverse war between all of the Kang variants, one of them (He Who Remains?) has stolen a Kang baby variant from one of the many other branched/multiversal timelines of the 31st century and placed him in the 19th century as a failsafe. There was never a Kang variant born in the 19th century living out his life as Victor Timely in the original timeline leading up to the eventual 31st century Kang.

I don't understand why people are suggesting that everyone will go back to their respective timelines cos those timelines are all pruned. I don't think pruned timelines can come back. I don't think when they say time is cyclic (like oroborous), they mean it's literally repeating scene by scene. I think it's about repeating patterns. Probably some other kang will become He Who Remains.

i think Kang Dynasty is essentially going to be the multiversal avengers protecting the sacred timeline that we know eventually gives birth to he who remains since he sanctioned Tony Stars time travel that must be why. I assume the Council of Kangs will attack important past moments of the MCU movies that lead up to the moment, we may even see a third group of avengers at the battle of NY and Voromir protecting the moments that lead to them time traveling, except instead of a time heist it’s going to be the opposite, making sure things stay in place for Endgame version of themselves to continue to be successful. I’m assuming the big secret is that He Who remains is a descendent of Tony Stark and when the Avengers tower becomes the Baxter building some future descendent of Reed Richards May stumble upon Tony’s technology hidden somewhere in the building which is he sanctioned their time travel to beat Thanos, it’s an important moment in the timeline that births him, so Loki and Sylvie can help him take Alioth and win the war. Except this time Dr Doom takes control of Alioth and destroys the multiverse and takes the pieces and creates Battleworld leading us into Secret Wars

He had a daughter who will or whose descendant will procreate with one of Reed Richards descendants and in the 31st century Nathaniel Richards will find that in his families tower. Remember in the void in Loki season one we actually see Qeng Tower and it’s just a future version of the avengers tower like it’s the same building. He Who Remains even said to Loki and Sylvie that first variant from the 31st century took over Alioth and ended the multiversal. If he is indeed talking about himself then He Who Remains is probably Nathaniel Richards and in Secret Wars the multiversal avengers will protect all points of the sacred MCU timeline movies to ensure the Loki’s will be there when he’s born in the 31st century and probably even teach him to enchant Alioth. I don’t think it’s a coincident that he who remains and Tony live in a tower and even their personalities are both very eccentric. They both created AI’s to run their business for them and had issues with true partnerships. Even their tech is the same, they both use a suit, emit blasts from their palms, and even control it from a watch like device. Too many consistencies between them to not be it. If it’s not then what a monumental waste

I think Loki is the one who winds up in control at the end of all of this (or has been in control this whole time). The Sacred Timeline was made to benefit Loki, and possibly Sylvi- that's why they're pruning Loki variants. Kang is just Loki's main henchman, who is allowed to think he's in control. The last episode will directly lead into Season 1 Episode 1, to complete the loop.

So in order the Loop to start over and his reincarnation to happen .timeline must reset

The character work is what makes S2 so good. I loved S1 but it suffered from pacing issues at times -- as if the writers had a great blueprint but forced things to get the characters where they needed to be at the expense of natural storytelling. The writers and producers having let things "breathe" this time has improved everything. A show is the sum of its components and thus far everyone responsible "Loki" has nailed it. Crystallising all of your best ideas into a handful of projects will always garner a better reception than productions designed only to over-saturate the market. Putting 100% into characters and stories will give the MCU longevity where endless content and CGI simply can't.

Victor getting turned to noodles kind of reminds me of Savitar's grand scheme at the end of The Flash Season 3. There was some device that he wanted Killer Frost to blast him with so that he'd be spliced across all of time. He'd exist at every moment/second or something like that. I believe that MIGHT have been what happened to Victor after stepping out in that space suit. Perhaps he wasn't necessarily 'killed', but he was spliced across the timelines resulting in the creation of Kang variants across the multiverse.

I think the Spidey saga has enough villains and loose ends as is for a new Doc Ock. I think it's significant that No Way Home was 5 and not 6 villains (Peter corrects Strange when Peter says he changed the spell 5 times instead of 6 times). I think his 6th movie at the end of his second trilogy is a Sinister Six movie with Vulture (H), Scorpion (H), Mysterio (FFH), Symbiote/Venom (NWH/4 or 5?), Kingpin (4), and Ned as Hobgoblin (5) for his Sinister Six. My theory is that Ned goes down a dark path without Peter as a friend and with his magic begins to remember Spider-Man or his connection/betrayal/abandonment to him. He starts a prison break because Scorpion said Vulture knows who Spidey is and he still remembers because he was in a different universe when Strange cast the spell. I also think 4 and 5 both have 2 subplots so whichever movie the Symbiote isn't in (between Kingpin and Hobgoblin) might have Black Cat in it as an anti-hero who eventually helps Spidey.

Here's a crazy theory that I don't actually believe will happen, the Timekeepers are actually based on Bishop, Cable, and Nimrod from the 90's Fox Animated X-Men. Their magic wristwatches kept them out of time and they teamed up with each other and HWR, who based his temp pad on their magic wristwatches, to take over the TVA from Kang to fix their timelines. We already have an animated Ms Minutes, why not bring in an animated Bishop, Cable, and Nimrod? Other than because it makes no sense.

I think the injection point is actually Nathan discovering time travel in the 31st century. The multiverse always existed. The Kangs eventually happened in the 31st century simultaneously and they encounter eachother. And then the war starts and he who remains happened to win the war. To ensure is victory always, he created an injection point in the past and created a loop. Timely is not a past Kang variant, he is an insertion by HWR in order to ensure a certain sequence of events to ensure his win. And I think his purpose had been served and hence he got spaghettigied. The loop is now from he who remains to timely and then back. But the injection point is from the future. That's where all the Kangs came from. Until they started tinkering with time and basically broke the multiverse that's why we have once linear time becoming loops and branches and shit. At least that's how I try to make sense of it.

Loki might be peak MCU for me. Better than the Infinity War/Endgame double. There are stupid writings in both those films. Loki is the only thing worth watching from MCU Phase 4 and 5. The only one setting up the Kang conflict for Avengers 5 and 6. GOATED For any MCU project: Loki So when are the Happy Meal toys for all these Loki characters coming out since they've partnered with McDonald's? I want them to look as good as the Revenge of the Sith Burger King toys in 2005 and the Endgame Happy Meal toys in 2019. Loki is my favorite TV series since peak Family Guy and Futurama in the '00s. I like it more than Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, Cobra Kai, Mad Men, and so on and so on. Be curious if we will get a Loki S3 or will the writers quit while on top? Do what Andor will do as their S2 will be their final one. Or Loki continues S3 by 2025? Let's hope it doesn't suck like other shows we know when they got to a Season 3. Loki S1 vs. Loki S2 1x1 > 2x1 1x2 > 2x2 1x3 1x4 1. 2x4 Heart of the TVA 2. 1x4 The Nexus Event 3. 1x1 Glorious Purpose 4. 2x3 1893 5. 2x1 Ouroboros 6. 1x2 The Variant 7. 2x2 Breaking Brad 8. 1x3 Lamentis No degradation from S1 to S2. Heart of the TVA has the highest IMDb score and it deserves it. The Infinity War episode of Loki. Sophia's acting and her character was the strongest in this episode. And I did recognize the BTTF 1 & 3 "not to scale/not painted" reference the instant O.B. said it. Michael Waldron did write for Rick & Morty which are based on Doc & Marty. I predict the TVA gang escape using TemPads. Loki will still time slip. Ravonna is in The Void and will see Alioth. From there, I don't know what happens afterwards. They were supposed to fail. He Who Remains knew it all along to loop this around again. Sylvie was supposed to kill him. None of these characters were supposed to succeed anyway because we know Deadpool 3 and the Avengers films featuring Kang are coming. Perhaps their happy ending is going to return to the timelines they were taken from and they will finally live their life? Free will. They could all end up scattered in different branched timelines or be on the sacred one. Loki's cast is easily the best cast of MCU since The Avengers (2012) or Captain America: Civil War (2016). I like the Loki characters more than the Guardians of the Galaxy except Rocket and Drax. Even someone like Brad I probably like more than Quill or Gamora from the first two GotG films. Loki's cast is like The Office and as likable as any cast from most sitcoms. Good or bad, the Loki gang are a joy to watch like the cast from I Love Lucy, Gilligan's Island, Three's Company, Married... With Children, The Goonies, Stranger Things, and Cobra Kai. The one thing I'll miss is the TVA. The TVA is a place but it felt like another character like the island in LOST. Or think Hill Valley in the Back To The Future films. So much great world building in a building. Perhaps that's the last we'll see Miss Minutes this season. But she's just a cartoon. They can always bring her back since animated characters can live forever. Be a waste if we never see her again. Tara Strong is only 50. She can voice Miss Minutes for a couple more decades. Even though she is a thirsty psychopath, Miss Minutes is a fan favorite and I doubt that's the last we'll see of her. I'm so happy for Tom Hiddleston. Remember, Loki is considered a "loser". I remember when Loki died in Infinity War, I was so hurt by it. Looking back, it ended up for the better. Tom is now forever part of the greatest project MCU ever did. Skull Island was so forgettable for me, I forgot Eugene Cordero 🇵🇭 was in it! I guess Tom and Eugene became pals to reunite for Loki. Great to see Casey give Fil-Am representation in MCU and it's not just Ned. Thank you, Tom, Owen, Ke, Jonathan, Gugu, Eugene, Sophia, and Wunmi for being part of such an amazing project. See most of you again this Thursday night. ❤
