Everyone - I can confirm that this fix works! For the past 2 years, I have been dealing with this "Audio fading / Distorted Audio" issue on the G933 due to what I believed was a faulty power button. I've disassembled several G933s in the past with other DIY solutions, which did not work. Turns out, all Logitech needed to do was include contact cleaner as part of their manufacturing process, and none of us would have had this issue to begin with! I personally was a bit skeptical that this would work, because it's just a spray that you apply and it's supposed to magically fix the problem. However, after 2 years and no hope from Logitech, I'm rather desperate and thought "Egh, it's just going to cost me $7 and 45min"; and this was time and money well spent! Results: This is a 100% solution, there is not even the slightest fading or distortion from the power button after applying the fix. The drums on both ears receive 100% power, and the audio is robust as soon as the headset is powered on. There's no more playing with the power button trying to get the sound "just right". What you need to do: Since we don't have "Mundial Prime - Limpa Contato" in the United States, the contact cleaner that I purchased was WD-40 (Link Below) at Home Depot (Link Below) and it cost me $6.97 WD-40 Electrical Contact Cleaner: www.wd40.com/products/contact-cleaner/ Where to buy: www.homedepot.com/p/WD-40-SPECIALIST-11-oz-Contact-Cleaner-30055/307599950 I applaud "O Gambiarra DIYer" for figuring out how to fix the G933's issue when Logitech couldn't figure it out on their own product. Even more disappointed in Logitech since this is such a simple fix. Brother, Keep up the great work in Brazil!

Thank you for this! I used a couple squirts of WD-40 right on the sides of the power button (don't go crazy with the spray) without taking the headset apart. Worked great for me. Just wash the outside of the headset with mild soap/water (DAMP CLOTH!) to clean up the WD-40 smell.

Thankyou so much, perfectly works now! Just for anyone reading, i was hesitant in removing the circuit board and did not watch to break any clips and i did realise that you do not need to remove it entirely. He did that in this video for demonstration but you can sneak in the contact cleaner spray without removing the whole board. Lastly, the screws that you remove are magnetic so be careful with them as they can get lost very easily.

I had this wacky audio problem since 1 year and was thinking of changing my headset entirely, and I have by no means any idea of fixing technical stuff. And then I came across this video and gave it a try. And see: it works! Never thought, but it works! One click, turning the headset on and its like how it was! Thanks a lot dude!

Very helpful. I can see the point of removing the flat cable, for visual purposes, but it's not necessary: you can just press back the clear plastic tab at the centre of the circuit board to free it (the board is held in place by two posts and the tab, and the black plastic cover adds two more screws to keep it in place. Also, the problem might not be remedied by contact cleaner alone, especially if the switch is loose. On the box that holds the switch in the circuit board you will see as gold metal strip covered with a bit of plastic. That metal strip has a bump in the middle--it makes the click when you switch and holds it to one side or the other (on/off). That metal strip is very thin, too thin for its purpose, and slowly gets bent outward so that the switch no longer presses against the contacts consistently and properly. Use a small flat head screwdriver, or similar object, and GENTLY press that strip down toward the strip; you shouldn't really see any press marks in that plastic switch. Test the switch to see if it's tighter. If it is, then reassemble, making sure that you line up the switch on the circuit board with the external switch or you will have to take the cover off again and line them up and feel like a doofus (as I did). For another explanation of this issue, see the reddit link mentioned in the comments below (reddit post: www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/7t0m3g/g933_sound_unbalanced_power_button_fixes/).

Just took apart enough to tip the end of the board with the power switch out and sprayed some cleaner in and worked it into the switch like the video showed. Thanks for the video, huge relief to be rid of the fading audio.

Perfect Perfect video! just sprayed CRC OD Contact cleaner on the power button and flipped it on and off a few times. Sprayed some more and flipped it on and off a few times again. Then pressed the metal plate of the power button down with a flat head 2-3 times to make sure its snug and reassembled. It's working 100% now. A cheap $10 fix that works 100%. After 3 months of playing with the power button because one side only worked or because the audio was too low. TLDR; Use contact cleaner on power button and flip it on and off several times. Do it a second time. Than press the metal plate of the power button down with a flat head screwdriver 2-3 times. PS. CRC OD Contact Cleaner is the best contact cleaner out there as it has lubricants to also help. More notes: Contact Cleaner is basically 80% rubbing alcohol mixed with equal amounts of water and is not necessary. You can make your own mix and put it in a bottle spray and use it. So basically 1 spoon of rubbing alcohol to 1 spoon of water. 1:1 ratio. The additional ingredients in contact cleaners are a gimmick. Still I bought it because of the supposed lubricants that say it helps, which probably doesn't do much but better safe than sorry so you don't have to re-open it again and do it again. More notes: You will probably have to do it every 6 months cuz logitech sucks ass. Enjoy.

Just make absolute sure your headset power switch is the problem before actually buying the electrical contact cleaner. You're a lifesaver thank you so much, I did this and my headset sounds like the first day I bought it again, seriously though guys be careful with the screws, I had one that got stuck to the speaker and used some bent staples to fish it out

Thank you for this video. I'm now listening to this with the G933 power button fixed. Somehow while the area where the power button resides was cleaned up with it, the circuit board got a bit sticky on the other side after spraying with the contact spray. Hopefully it will not affect the board over time.
