Hey Eber, great review as usual. I did notice something though. You said the highs sound great. My review of this headset went live yesterday and in it I found the highs to be inconsistant. I found they were pretty distorted and not very clear. Which EQ settings did you use? I used the flat profile. Br Laurens

I actually use a wireless headset, creative SOUND BLASTER TACTIC3D RAGE WIRELESS V2.0 (yeah crazy name I know). I'm amazed by tha quality of this headset wich costed me just 80€. They have a good sound and clamping force, the range is not great, let's say that if you move in just one room are plenty good enough. I just tried the mic for the first time and it is really clear and almost without background noise. They are red and black and have rgb lights, for 80€ a best buy!

WHOAAAA! I have a Tactics 3D Rage Headset, it's a USB connected set, so i know yours sound good! Did a audio test between them vs everything else i have. I was so shocked! For the price i payed for them, they deliver. The surround on them is nothing more then mind blowing at the price point for sure. I would never advise anyone buy a pair of the model i own though!!! The padding is so hard, you can hear your finger *Tap* off it, even if you try to touch it gently (Its about as flexible as the fabric used as well) So glad you responded to this haha Strange but i always get a buzz when someone from across the world just knows :D (Strange wording, but you know haha) Take care of yourself man :) P.s.................. The RGB sold me at the time, then the sound shocked me later :D

Just brought back a faulty set of arctis 7 and go these on clearance. I’m absolutely stunned at the improvement of audio-especially the surround sound. This is a no brainer.

Been rocking the G933 Artemis Spectrum and G403 wireless mouse. Two Logitech items I do not regret purchasing whatsoever.

Since you have this headset he mentioned something about not being able to use these headphones while charging. Is this true? When you run out of battery/low can you still plug it and continue using it or does it not let you. Thanks.

Thank you. I think these are still great in 2021 with the pandemic and WFH. I checked out the newer Logitech G733 Lightspeed Wireless with RGB but still like my G533 over that one.

i would rather want to see wireless hi-fi/audiophile headphones than gaming ones, i use the sennheiser rs 175 myself atm for example

Good timing on this review as I'm looking for a pair to replace my Corsair Vengeance, not really big on the wireless but the Microphone quality sounds pretty bad, sound and mic quality are deciding factors in my purchase of a new headset, so could you recommend any other headsets in a similar price range?

I have Corsair VOID Wireless 7.1 and they're just awesome ,they cost in our country about 120 :D :D :D

Just bought these recently and the quality is absolutely phenomenal. I Couldn't expect better audio out of a headset double the price, and the noise cancellation is awesome since my wife watches tv right behind my gaming rig. The Mic quality seems fine, coming in crystal clear and the voice feedback to know how loud I am being is a great feature. The gaming software as mentioned in the video is also the best around, easy to use, and manage. These are very comfortable and if you aren't super concerned with aesthetics then these are well worth the price, they could definitely get away with charging more for these. Highly recommend.

I just got them. Microphone is a bit uhm... it's ok I guess. It's mean to be used for gaming comms. However, the sound quality is fucking amazing given you equalize it properly. I listen to one of Hans Zimmer's concert at full volume... the entire 2 hours of it. No regrets.

the mic sounds really good to me lol update: almost 2 years later the mic broke. this has happened to many people and apparently the cables and solderings are trash. it's not even built to make it able to fix it, you literally have to break it to see what's inside. the cables of the mic are tied in some weird knot and it's recommended to not pull the mic up and down to mute it, not even extend it. never buying from logitech again.

daniel ontiveros I havent used the G933 but i do have the Steelseries Arctis 7 and I love it. Its around $50 less. Ive used the G900 before and I like the sides but the convex (no groove) left and right clicks bothered me. The G403 combines Zowie EC ergonomics with amazing wireless tech and a top sensor.

daniel ontiveros I've been using g900 for nearly 2 months now had razed mamba 2012 previously and boy it's amazing no lag in wireless but haven't bought the g933 cause of reviews of it sliding from the persons head but still looking into a nice surround sound wireless gaming headsets

Hopefully someone here will have an answer, in rainbow 6 siege can you hear if sounds are above or below with these? Ive read some things that say you cant due to the way the game is made but if these can decipher that i'd definitely buy them. thanks!

+Allen Wixted the sound engine in R6S is pretty fantatsic! You'll hear sound above/below in stereo mode perfectly well, and slightly less so detailed in 7.1 mode but with expanded sound stage.

Thank you my friend! I think after looking at ubisoft's "sound propagation video" they use an algorithm to direct sounds around corners and stuff and I think it just ends up being spatially confusing at times. Let me know what you find. Would be interesting to hear how you get on :)

I have the same exact problem with rainbow 6 siege with my corsair void headset. My surround sound works perfectly for Fortnite but not very well for r6. I'm stuck between buying an arctis 7, Logitech g533, or a Logitech artimes. What did you end up doing?

Great review. I'll start by saying that I currently own the Artemis G933 White (because they were thirty bucks cheaper than the original G933 the day I bought them), and have used them every day for a year and a half. As much as I love them, I probably would've left them on the shelf if I knew then what I know now. The convenience of wireless is great, and the battery life is pretty stellar, all things considered. But, I've not once needed to use any of the macro keys on it. Possibly because I have so many at my disposal on my keyboard and mouse alone. In the interest of saving battery life, I've yet to use the LEDs. And, as far as the 7.1 support goes, I used it a few times and it never felt right. I never did any real testing as far as positioning goes but I preform much better in stereo mode, I know that much. And as far as audio quality goes, the drivers are good, but not the greatest. The G933 feels much more balanced than my old Kraken Pros, which had much too much bass, but none of them have ever lived up to the Sony MDR-XD 200 that I had years ago. But, it'd be unfair to compare them, since the Sony's were much more of a entry-level studio monitor. The G533 seems to be a good calling, with it's much more simple design. I'm not sure if I'm ready to accept not having a 3.5mm jack on them like I do on my G933. But, time will tell. Maybe I'll move away from headsets altogether in the name of better audio quality, or maybe I'll find a nicer headset. Who knows.

I love the gloss design that these headphones have on them. But I'm still considering getting the g633 because they look more futuristic and more like gaming headsets. The g533 remind me more of regular everyday set of headphones.

I own a pair of Logitech G930 at the moment, but Im thinkling of getting a new pair. I love wireless headsets and can't really see myself going back to having the headset cord all over me all the time when playing games. Question: Can you plug the G533's USB stick into the G930's USB holder that you get when buying it?

THe mic audio quality is pretty un acceptable in this day an age imo. Was the latency at all perceptible? Latency should of been a major part of this review!

Any tip for replacing my G500 mouse ? I think there is no replacement for the side button layout of the G500 right. It had 3 buttons, and i want a samelike mouse back, but all the newer versions don't have 3 buttons at the side.

not for a mouse anymore. the g900 or the g403 wireless is just as good as wired. proven in house and by pros in the real world. personally own the 403 mouse and I'm pretty much over wired mouse. thinking of getting these headset so i dont need anymore wires. personally the keyboard can stay weird since its not something i have to move around with.

I'm looking to upgrade my Hyperx Cloud 2 to Playstation Platinum headset, do you think it'll be worth it?

This is from 2021 and I love this headset. I have yet to find a decent Logitech headset that matches the G533 in both wireless and performance. I do have some issue with it but over all I would say this headset is a solid 8/10 would buy again.

Walter Antonio Alba An I have the arctis 7 and all I can say is for me the headband feels a little tight when you first put it on, but the pressure seems to completely disappear after 5-10 minutes. The wireless range is phenomenal, and make sure you install engine 3 for them to sound amazing or else they sound like a cheap pair headphones

I'd like to hear your thoughts on top-end headsets, Audio-Technica's ATH-AG1, etc. Edit - Just realised they've been discontinued. Anything above $300 though, like the SteelSeries Siberia 840?

I'm quite sad y'all didn't do a best of 2016 headphones since y'all do so many headphones reviews and I really enjoy them.

I suspect the headset could be made to work on cable but logitech prevent it in the firmware to give the G933 more versatility. Awesome review, I might get one of these if there isn't anything better by the time my Kingston Cloud II fails.

Get the Steelseries Arctis 7 instead

Zerock da Megatrollz The G533 IS brand new. The Arctis has a better mic, better comfort (stretchy ski band instead of adjustable top band), and better materials (metal and premium plastic). It also has much better looks imo.

Just got a refurbished one of this and it is doing great for $65....Been using and breaking the plug of the 933, have gone through 6 between hubby and I, and the cost on these now is great. Going to see if can get all of the ones that we have broke, cause I not good at taking apart and fixing myself even with instruction videos, referb'd and if so might just have that done....just thought someone might like to know. Oh no instruction came with it but easy to just plug and play/use...was simple even for this old lady and comfy.

i bought the hyperx cloud revolver last summer and i absolutely love it, if you want great bass and mic it's the one. just saying.

I just bought a pair of Astro a40 tr w mixamp and all I can say is WoW! Much better than my tb and my g933's

Been using G930 for the past 5 years. The 3 year warranty is great, I've gotten two free headsets for problems as simple as ear cup deterioration.

This headset is amazing, bought one about a year ago and it's still going strong. The sound quality is superb for the cost, no complaints from others about the mic quality. 10/10 would buy again.

Most people dont have realtek hd audio manager which makes the mic sound quite passable, I feel that people forget that the recording is raw audio with no settings, like none from discord or your own sound drivers.

I've a G933 and I'm quite happy with its performance. I like stealthy builds, and that continues to my peripherals (well, except for the keyboard). So, I have the lights turned off on the headset. I still wouldn't have considered the G533 for me due to its cup design. The angular shape of the cups on the G933 fits my ears better. Sooo, yeah.

Eber Can you do a review of the Arctis Headset line from Steelseries??

I have owned numerous gaming headsets... and none of them even come close to the Audio Technica ATH 550Z. These headphones are amazing and has a surround sound feeling since the sound stage is so broad, especially for a closed headphone. The only dowsides are that they don't have a mic, and it has a really long cable (10ft). They cost about the same as a "decent" gaming headset, around $170 AUD.

I've been using my G930 for years now and they are easily the best headphones i ever used for FPS gaming.

Wireless surround headsets are needed for VR or for when other people are asleep in your house. I use the turtle beach ear force stealth 450 with dts x and they work ok. I'm eyeing the Ossic x 3D headset but debating cause the price.

the mic sounded like it has a lot of snow.. is that normal for that headset? I'm a big fan of wireless headsets.. I don think I could ever go back to wired. In fact I tried the Arctis 3 a while back... loved the feel, but couldn't stand the wire lol. I ended up buying the Arctis 7's but had issues with sidetone..which was a deal breaker for me.
