Isn't DTS built into G hub? Why should I install dts unbound now?

DTS sound unbound app doesn't recognize my headphones at all ''Generic over the ear Headphones''. Even when I manually look for them, all there is in the ''Select your Headphones'' are the Logitech UE6000 and the Logitech H110. I'm using the DAC that came in the box and it recognizes me as a licensed user. Everything seems to work, but still, it's weird that it doesn't recognize my headphones. What's happening? : (

Attention everyone; last update resolved this issue, no need for this workaround, with latest G Hub and DTS apps DTS Headphone:X should work without problems.

is it me or the logitech g pro x volume is low, and do you know how to increase it without having to lose sorround sound

I don't have problems with volume, check if you turned up volume wheel on wire all the way up. Also check if 3.5mm connector is plugged all the way in both on usb card and on headset. And if volume in windows is turned up to 100%. Other than that I have no other suggestions. Cheers!

@@NhanTran-sx8vx you need to use sound 3.0 so u can hear shit.Go to g hub click on browse more presets, then go change it to most popular on the right. get sound 3.0

Hi, I have one question. Is DTS free when i bought logitech g pro x? I didn't see any options of payment etc. I just wanna know if this is some trial or lifetime license. Thanks

Yes its free, license is built in USB DAC.

but the problem is on windows 11 noway to active DTS

Hello, i just want to know before i buy this headset, i have heared alot of problems in 7.1 dts, they say its like tin can cave sound comming from headset when you enable it, did they fix the issue? And im not going to use 7.1 system on every game but do you still recommend me this for 7.1?

I'm not really expert here, but with this headset you have 2 options. Use 7.1 from G-Hub app, or use DTS Sound Unbound app and enable spatial sound in Windows Sound Settings. First option I never liked, its tin can version. Latter option is much better for me, but you still notice processing and if always active it also affects stereo sound. They fixed crackling issue, but on every restart DTS Sound Unbound app always activates itself in win sound settings and there is occasional crackling issue and you have to disable and enable it again. I also tried Dolby Atmos with integrated sound card, it applies even less processing and has powerful EQ. Every virtual 7.1 option will distort original sound, and sound is very subjective field so best would be to test it before buying if you have option.

yeah what this guy said. 2 options. If you want to use spatial sound you need to set the khz to 44.1 khz but the con is you dont have the permission to enable blue voice. second option. Is if you want blue voice and everything from Logitech g hub you need to set to 48.khz (wich i use) And that's why this headset sucks.

Why i must pay dts

same issue on windows 11 - both updated g hub and dts. Any fixes?

Uninstall DTS unbound and logitech G Pro > Reboot > Install DTS > Open DTS > turn on DTS in sound settings > DTS will be enabled in DTS unbound > While everything is open, install logitech ghub > follow installation instructions > Good to go

@@T2Elms Do you keep the headset plugged in during this process? I've tried so many ways and although system sounds and DTS tests sound good nothing in browser or in game worked...it all sounds choppy and dialogue is faint.

man i cant even enable it or windows sonic any fix ????

Sorry was away for a while; try this - under Speakers properties - Advanced tab - change default format to 16bit 44100Hz and try to enable spatial sounds then.

Hi my friend, i have the logitech g pro x, i uninstalled g hub, downloaded dts and when i actived on windows settings, i has dts headphone x actived, i didnt pay something, is this for the logitech g pro x? And when i dont check dts config on windows, in dts app say messsge to buy dts, its rare, i dont understand, i dont know if i should buy dts for that reason, i dont know if its a bug and i have dts free when i active in windows settings audio, thanks for read my friend.

Not sure if I fully understand your question but G Pro X has DTS license inbuilt. You need to use Logitech USB DAC (soundcard) in order for DTS app to recognize license. To use DTS app with integrated soundcard on motherboard, then you need to pay for DTS app. G-Hub works only when you use Logitech USB DAC. The only thing G-Hub for G Pro X is good is mic settings. If you don't need it so badly you can use G-Pro X without Logitech USB DAC with other DAC or integrated soundacard.

@@TehnoManik Thanks for answer my friend, sorry for my english, when im with the dac with the logitech hub, i dont have dts license, when i try test sound to fix the bug like this video, i cant because i dont have license dts and cant test sound, just appear dts off, but when i uninstall g hub and open dts, i have license with no bugs

@Franco Pamo If you freshly installed DTS app maybe you are in trial period and until it ends you will not have an issue with license. With headset attached to Logitech USB DAC I believe you will need G-Hub also for license to work properly. Also there is an option in DTS to refresh license, click 3 dots right of Home, Headphones and DTS tabs so give it a try.

@@TehnoManik Im not in trial now, i downloaded like 1 month ago and got the trial, but i uninstalled because i has the stutter sound bug like this. After i did read some articles about this and i uninstall g hub and dts is perfect now, but obviusly i want try some profiles in the logitech g hub, i will try it what you say. So, at the end, i dont need to buy dts on windows, because its free for tje dac logitech, thanks for the answer, if i can get dts free with the g hub i will test this method to fix the bug. Ty bro

Maybe some one have problem with this headset and know kow to fix piping sound when silent?

Try headset on another PC or laptop just to be sure its not problem with USB controller on motherboard, I know that some B550/X570 chipsets had USB issues with popping sounds on USB DACs. If problem is in motherboard, try updating to latest BIOS. Also try another USB ports if you haven't already.

hi man, could you tell me if these headphones are compatible with dolby atmos too or only are they with DTS?

You can use them with Dolby Atmos but not with Logitech USB soundcard. You need to plug them to integrated soundcard on your motherboard and buy license for Dolby Atmos.

@@TehnoManik Mm.. but that would make them no longer 7.1 and become a common headphones right? So being neither 5.1 nor 7.1, it would not give any "plus" to have Dolby Atmos with these headphones, would it?

5.1 or 7.1 is just simulation of true surround. You still only have 2 drivers in your headphones. Logitech G Pro X uses DTS virtual surround implementation. You can enable surround in G-Hub app and that is custom Logitech algorithm based on DTS. Since this headset has inbuilt license for DTS you can install DTS Sound Unbound app from windows store and use original DTS implementation. For me its better. Dolby Atmos is another virtual surround implementation which you can buy at win store, but since Logitech USB soundcard is DTS compliant, Dolby will not work with USB card. In that case you need to use integrated soundcard from motherboard. Only drawback in not using Logitech USB soundcard is lack of BlueVoice processing for microphone. Atmos applies least processing in my opinion (for eg Astro headsets and even some Logitech comes with Atmos license). All those 5.1 or 7.1 implementations just adds processing to original sound and many gamers actually don't use any, just pure stereo.
