I have 2 of these camera’s. The doorbell and the Indoor CircleView and they both SUCK from overheating issues! Logitech should be ashamed of themselves for putting out garbage!

still getting issues: 2 cameras bought in early 2023 via apple website, located in the same room, connected to the same router, one would work the other would go to "camera not responding" mode all the time. customer support is awful. would not replace it. instead of taking responsibility, they would just ask you to waist time trouble shooting your router etc. I'd go with another brand.

The issue is almost certainly not with the camera, or any HomeKit camera for that matter. The issue you had is most likely due to HomeKit and location services. You’ll note that it is not possible to set the location of your home in HomeKit. As stated, the camera worked fine inside the home, the issue was that it wasn’t receiving an instruction from HomeKit to turn the camera and stream or start recording. To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to control where your HomeKit home is located, this is surely done at the point when you set up your first Home Hub. Once set up, you can’t change the location, though I believe it checks its location and adjusts itself from time to time, I’m just not sure when that is. To test if this was the issue, you could have set up another home automation, say turning on a light inside the home when you leave the home. You could then have set your camera to record and stream when home and away, then check the camera footage to see if the light turned on when you left home. To my knowledge, the only fix is to create a new HomeKit home and set up all HomeKit accessories again in the new HomeKit home. Hope this helps others.

Also, make sure you set the correct location of your home in your own contact record in contacts, which must be the contact that is linked to your iCloud account. Then verify your home location in maps by searching for ‘Home’ and Apple Maps.

Your 100% correct. I didn’t see any follow up videos. I think he was able to manage the problem with this information.

Hey, just wondering what your fix was for this issue in the end?

Given all the steps you took, I feel the issue is with your apple device and/or homekit configuration

Posted 8 months ago 🤔 Probably introduced a HomePod mini around that time🤔 The geofencing on the HomePod mini has crazy range🤔 Wonder why apple doesn’t allow us to use our LiDAR in HomeKit to scan our interior walls so it can better know when we enter the threshold to the great outdoors🤔 My AQARA hub doesn’t arm my security system until I’m about 1/4 mile away. Assuming you didn’t go far enough. Once you left a few blocks it probably worked. Just saw this video gonna check your channel for a update video.

Hi quick question I had had camera for 1,5 years with little to no issue. For a couple of months now it keeps going offline after 6 -12 hours if I set it to stream and record in HomeKit. If I set it to only stream it stays online for days but goes offline again. Have you encountered this and if so any idea on how to fix?

I always keep mine on stream and record and it usually doesn’t give me any issues anymore. When im home I have it set to offline. I have two HomePod minis as my hubs so go fix the issue I was having in this video I reset both HomePods and erased the camera from my HomeKit and then reconnected them and if I ever have a weird issue with the camera I reset and pair it back to HomeKit

I would use an Apple TV rather than a HomePod for a hub

I agree with this, Apple TV is much more reliable as a hub
