Great to see you making coffee in the woods ,with your family 😂 , watching you work that log into a useable beam / plank ,was really inspirational , to see it done was great and especially that you were learning as you progressed , gave me an idea ,that i might want to give it a try myself , thanks , a day in the woods will do me a lot of good !

Glad to see you liked it. There will be more days like that in spring and summer. But I’ll post those videos on my new channel, so I hope you’ll be watching that as well.

A couple of stakes driven into the ground to stabilise the bottom support logs would have helped. Nice work!

Good show! I bet my cut would beeves more crooked. Although in the video you seemed to work faster at the end with the lower log hight, must just have been an editing thing. Also the fire looked animated ;D but since it made coffee I guess it was kind of real :D

My dad used to get 25 cents each for hewing railroad ties with a broad axe.

I guess he had to be pretty quick with the axe to put food on the table then … funny, I just watched a small video of John Foreman, an old expert in that trade.

My lower back would kill me... 😅
