I could say they're more like characters in 4 for being livid at what the humans are doing and distrusting Cade, Shane and Tessa. 5 in the junkyard scenes. Clearly tired of being in hiding. People say those scenes are just a$$hole Autobots, not characters. 2&3 apparently did ok as people have their favorites and believe the character was developed but certainly minimum with the number of transformers in the 2 movies. @ZeEmperor I could see Lockdown just focusing on capturing Optimus. Plus this would have the argument about how much interaction do you want to see to call it acceptable? One conversation that Lockdown calls him Drift, Drift telling him that's wrong? Lockdown actually going off his mission to fight Drift? The comics definitely give a good idea for a prequel plus just knowing Drift used to be a Decepticon.

@@AutobotSimmer honestly I haven't seen the movies in a while and despite all the criticism they get, I still like them. (Gonna rewatch them soon :P) Just kinda wish we would've gotten more scenes where characters just talk with eachother a bit to flesh out their personality. Plus I think Drift just making a comment on Lockdown as a nod to their backstory would've been nice enough. Still, 4 is an interesting movie and I like the Autobot cast in it.

Optimus may be a Prime, but that doesn't mean he's invincible. Watch the the '07 movie again with the final battle, then the early parts of rotf, then dotm Optimus vs Sentinel. Optimus would not always win toe to toe against certain cybertronians without either power ups, or interventions

Lockdown and Drift never crossed paths in the movie. If they did, what would anyone expect to see? I see Lockdown focussed on his mission so if he saw Drift he'd do the typical calling by wrong name, Drift telling him wvi he is and Lockdown walking away saying his target is Optimus. I don't see Lockdown chosing to fight Drift. He'd focus on getting the one he was sent to capture; Optimus. This would be a good prequel movie though. A little bit of Deadlock's life, including being friends with Lockdown and then how he became Drift.

The problem with loyalty to a cause Is that the cause... *Will always betray you*

Lockdown was so bad ass its a shame he got killed off in the same movie he was introduced in. he had so much potential being on neither side of the transformers but his own

In Transformers Animated which was his first appearance he was a former Autobot turned Merc for both sides.

To be fair, ratchet wasnt exactly in a situation to put up a fight

Although I loved lockdown hunting in the movie, I kind of wish we saw him hunting down decepticons as well. I kind of felt like the Autobots we're being treated worse than the decepticons

Umm correction, Lockdown killed racket only after the humans pinned him in a corner and already wounded him. Leaving lockdown to get the final shot. Sooooo yeah credit shouldn’t go to lockdown for that one. He dealt the killing blow but it was the humans that weakened racket severely. Also I like to point out that Lockdown may run his mouth. But He will never and I mean never challenge Megatron regardless of any contract. That’s due to Megatrons history of putting any and all cons in their place including Starscream. Sadly for Starscream however he earned himself being Megatrons punching dummy due to all the shit he pulled 💀 and was also an example of how much not to screw with Megatron. Who’s only equals mind you were Optimus Prime, Megatronus Prime and Unicorn. Considering Megatrons masters Megatronus prime and Unicron are far superior and stronger then any other Prime before Optimus Prime himself? Well I don’t think I need to say more…

He was a former Decepticon gone rogue in the movie, and former friends with another then-Decepticon: Deadlock, who would later join the Autobots and become Drift.

Lockdown is my fav character from age of extinction. Ive tried to replicate his frame amd weapons in armored core 6. Its still a worknin progress

That explains why Overload was looking at drift when Crosshairs and Dorft were killing him, with a "Are you just going to stand there and do nothing" look
