What rubbish? Its the people who elect politicians, politician don't land from outer space from another solar system to ruin the country. For 60 plus years the majority masses instinctively gave the political parties a teflon coat by allowing them to cling onto power based on a Singhala only Buddhist nationalist ideology [trapped in a viscous cycle] that tore the fabric of this island .... regardless of scandalous, corrupt and sleazy behavior until its became unbearable, recently and NOW challenges a party [like npp] to accept greater responsible to fix the damages done in the past. you are doomed to make that choice... is this the greatest oxymoron?

It is so considerate of Harry to help his friend carry her bag. Harry is a good friend and a warm man! It is not easy just to walk to that tower, and it is so hard to climb up that tower. When Harry turned the camera down to the ground, I would really feel dizzy, so scary! I feel that the tower is not well designed. If too many people go up at one time, it is really dangerous. The number of people should be controlled at the last several levels of the tower, or a signboard should be set up to tell everyone the final stop line! Harry knows more about Buddhism and Sri Lankan history than that Sri Lankan girl, so outstanding! This is an episode full of adventure, religion, and cultural. Thank you very much for sharing! 👍🥰🙏

I am Theravada Buddhist and we believe in rebirth, that is different than reincarnation (a Hindu believe). The person isn't reborn, but your karma that started with life started will leave you to a new life. If your karma has improved due to positive skilled thoughts and behaviors, it goes to a higher realm - if not, to a lower realm. Sri Lanka was the place where Theravada was started and the Pali Cannon - The Buddha visited there too. My Buddhist teacher was from Sri Lankan and mostly lived in Los Angeles, representing the City of LA for the Major at one time. He has a PhD from Northwestern University and it was a blessing to learn from him.

Sri Lanka is the most progressive country of all south Asian countries. They are educated progressive and very personable.

It’s Bawanthi😍😍 We worked at the same place, never talked to her but she was a heart stealer. Very mysterious girl doesn’t talk to anyone than her team but always was full of giggles with her friends and had a loud laugh. From what I’ve seen she was a selectively open person. Just came across with ur vlogs and this.. well, the Bodhi tree is special because it's where Siddhartha Gautama, later known as the Buddha, was born, attained enlightenment and left his body (passed away ) under the similar tree..so, It's a symbol of awakening, knowledge, and spiritual transformation in Buddhism.

Buddhism and Hinduism are different from each other, but in Sri Lanka, Buddhist culture and Hindu culture were mixed during the Kandy era.

@@harryjaggardtravelIt actually mixed way before Kandyan era and mixed way more in the coastal regions. BUT the SHIVA stuff came MUCH later. SHIVA actually has no place in Sri Lankan Buddhism. Tamils are trying to bring it into Buddhist places. But VISHNU has space traditionally in Sri Lankan Buddhism. VISHNU is the classical PROTECTOR DEITY of SRI LANKAN BUDDHISM !

That shop was mostly selling Hindu items and not really Buddhist - Your friend is very pretty and hopefully she can learn more about the religion of her country. She is very young. In Buddhism, there is no good or bad, but skilled and unskilled thoughts and behaviors.
