I'm not boycotting Loblaws...but...I no longer shop at my local one after several unpleasant experiences ending in one where I'm pretty damn sure an employee changed an electronic shelf tag on me. I am very diligent to check my receipts, and after that experience I will be petty and return any item that rings up as more then advertised on the rare occasion I go into a Loblaws these days. Its a shame because they do have the best variety of foods I like within 150km, but id rather change my diet or have to plan out once a month shopping trips in a city then go into a store that makes me feel as angry as that store has made me feel repeatedly since the pandemic.

I wfh and so use my lunch break to go for a daily walk to get dinner stuff. Being there daily I see how they are absolutely fleecing us. Wednesday end caps filled with things red flagged as on sale, when I saw yesterday it was actually 30 cent cheaper. That end cap will then Thursday turn to an actual sale. I saw Pintys chicken wings "save 10 dollars" end cap. Reg Price $20. Actual horsepoo. They are 16.99 reg Price. The lies and shenanigans. But even more fun there are zero options within 5k walking distance. Downtown in a major city. This is by design.

Not true. I used to live about 10k East of here and had access to Freshco, Metro, No Frills, and Bulk Barn, all within a decent walking distance. Never would I ever see Kraft Dinner for 2.99 at Freshco or No Frills. I will stay mad. No one can tell me the most horrifically fundamentally horrible noodles with nuclear orange "cheese" dust is worth 3 bucks. Mr. goddamn Noodles are 1.79. Be so serious. I'm gonna clock someone with a 5 dollar loaf of Wonderbread STG.
