Good effort..As I m a design engineer,I will share some of knowledge here..from my POV, Fixtures to be applied on the bottom of table..fixtures actually means whether the table is stationary or mobile..also you have to define joints rather than modelling such simple boss extrusion..means model the entire table as it is to be made in real and then run the simulation hence you can find out weak points...you hav to define table top and method of joints to the legs and define stiffeners if needed..the thickness of table top even depends on the simulation study..that's how material optimization is being carried out. .when the table is lengthier ,no of legs required and no of stiffeners to be provided are derived from such simulation study.. simulation is very important step in the design process..
