As one of the only employers of plus sized dancers in the industry (and as one of the only plus sized performers that dance full pop performances) I think she knows a thing or two about what it takes to maintain tour readiness in a fat body. And 2000s! I was born in '98 and I remember ads like this on TV tbh. ☺️ Saw the movie on Tuesday and literally can't stop thinking about it! Such a great film and, personally, I think it's such an important watch for any Gen Z or Millennial woman! 🥰💖 So healing for the little girls inside of all of us. 🩷 I was bawling and I wasn't even a Barbie girl (ha 😅) when I was younger, my fave was Bratz! Although I did have Barbie dolls as well. But this film is about more than just Barbie, it's about navigating womanhood and re-appreciating femininity after certain parts of society have taught us to hate the feminine things we used to love. It makes the point that you can be a feminist without feeling like you have to reject feminine things or "prove yourself" against other women. You can stand up to sexism whether you're a girly girl or a tomboy or somewhere in between, and you can stand up to sexism whilst supporting other women and not feeling like you have to tear down the rest of your gender just to be appreciated. Just be yourself, because that's what feminism is all about! 💖💖💖😌 Feminism is about women's autonomy and CHOICE, in all aspects of life. It's such a great message for a movie to portray! I'm honestly so grateful for this film. 🥺💖💖💖💖💖

Just got back from seeing the movie. This song is a *perfect* opener.

Incredible intro for that movie. Get's you into exactly how this world works through only everyones body language and saying the words 'hi barbie!' Except for: 'wow space!' Or something like that lol. She's the moving object we need to follow in that scene and this song with her choreography make it smooth as ice. Good stuff

“Come on, we got important things to do” That line makes me emotional and I don’t quite know why.

In my opinion, I think this movie has the potential to become a huge cult (if not mainstream) classic à la Mean Girls or Legally Blonde. I made those comparisons when I first saw the movie, but after seeing your comment, I realised that both of those movies have been adapted into Broadway musicals. So, yeah, I could see a Barbie musical based in this movie happening in the future if the movie continues to be as popular as it has been. I know I’d definitely see it!

I just saw the Barbie movie! It was the best movie I ever saw! The movie really spoke to me on a deep level. I laughed at the funny jokes, most of them coming from Ken - I cried at the emotional moments like when Barbie was with her creator 😭 Of course, seeing Dua Lipa on the big screen really stole my heart. The music was catchy as hell and in all, I LOVED it. 😍 Highly recommend 👌
