Lizard for NES is a homebrew game released in 2018 by Brad Smith, and it's a very polished adventure platformer packed with mysteries and secrets to uncover. I adored playing through this game and slowly discovering all that the game's two settings, Recto and Verso, had to offer. 🍖
This copy of Lizard was provided to me at no cost by the developer with no requirement to review the game.
The introductory animation and outro text were created and designed by Saad Azim.

I always find games for retro platforms that were made in a more modern age absolutely fascinating. I had never heard of Lizard, but it really seems to have the feel of the late-2000s indie game scene, so getting something like that on the NES pretty cool

Terrific video. I also really enjoyed your stream of playing this and being able to ask the games creator questions while you played. You have a great community!

This seems pretty great for a homebrew! Looked like the lizard had a bit of slide following his jump and that always makes me a little wary of games with that type of mechanic. But it does look like it fits well with this! Defitnely something to check out!

If you like retro games with that kind of initially vague gameplay, immersive evocative moods, great atmosphere, and kinda strategic action gameplay, I have three games to recommend to you!

What filter are you using for the game footage? Assuming it is an emulator. It looks really nice and retro.

Don't want to be spoiled on this one, but I look forward to watching this after I get/finish the game!
