Liz Phair got treated unfairly for this song by critics. Everyone was too cynical in the early 2000s, if this came out whenever poptimism was in vogue critics would love it. It’s an incredibly well done pop song. People just dished on it cause she was an indie darling and they weren’t expecting a genuine pop banger with a nearly perfect structure behind it. Literally everything in it just kinda works. Very unfair how they lambasted her so hard.

My sister and I used to blast this song out in 2006 or 2007. We used to play this getting ready for school in the mornings. Then we moved in with my grandparents and we stopped listening to it. Now I have to get her back into this song.
