I hope someone reads this. Update to the story: These tigers have had a very sad end. Ary, who owned and cared for these tigers along with his family, had all the documentation and authorizations from IBAMA (the governmental institution that handles wild life here in Brazil). One day, this same institution told Ary that he had to hand these tigers over to local zoos. Now all these tigers are dead (all 7). You can blame IBAMA for that. Ary and his family moved to Colombia, where he works as a trainer and consultant for wild life.

People underestimate how powerful wild animals are. A Siberian tiger can jump up to 16 feet in the air and runs up to 40 mph. One strike of its claw can take a head off. Even if the tiger wants to kiss you on the face his tongue is so sharp like sandpaper. When he licks you it will leave a red mark on your skin. If even my domesticated pet cat can sometimes grab my hand and bite me then imagine what a tiger can do in a split of a second. He is not domesticated and will always be wild. That family is risking their lives everyday.

Not really because tigers maybe a solo fighter who believes in his own personal territory still they possess quite similarities and are way less aggressive in nature than male lions unless provoked a tiger can easily maul a full grown lion to death doesn't mean that they gonna make the first move

Yes, they’re more aggressive and their bite force is stronger too. Meaning if it wants to eat one of those people, nothing can stop it, not even a gun as death is usually not instantaneous and damage done to humans will be too catastrophic to survive.

I love tigers and i love that he's helping them but..they have instincts that can activate. They are still wild. Dogs domesticated 14 thousand years ago. Cats domesticated 7 thousand years ago. Look, the tiger has immense strength. Stray cats sometimes playfully nibble my finger and try to bite it after I feed them once or twice (if they were trying to bite hard, they can). One playfull nibble, and your finger is gone

its not about stopping the tiger. the leash is to provide guidance to the tiger. where to go, where not to go etc. its not about forcing, its about coaxing. i see ppl here havent even had as much as a fish for a pet

That's mean, when the tigers are left hungry, natural instinct kicks in. It is not a life for those tigers, the belong in the wild, where they feel free. You can't just erase millions years of natural instinct of one the biggest predator on earth.

I believe they do have good intentions, judging by how hard they try to care for them. However, these animals are simply not meant to be pets. They are too unpredictable. Big cats should only be kept in captivity in sanctuaries for the preservation of their species. They belong in huge enclosures which are similar to their habitats in the wild, not in houses and in concrete cages. They are stunning, but deserve better than to be a pet.

+Sean Malone But dogs and other household pets have gone through hundreds of years of domestication and are bred to be households pets. Tigers are meant to be in the wild, not in a house being treated as a stuffed animal by this family. Their intentions are good, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that they recognized the poor conditions the tigers were living in in the circus, but that does not mean they can handled like a dog just because they feed them regularly. They should be in a preserve or a zoo, wear they have the room and the capability to have the tigers live in conditions closest to their natural habitat.

+Mikayla Law There are many wildlife sanctuaries that take in animals but do not participate in "preserving their species." That is not to say that they do not support conservation efforts, but their goal is to give animals that cannot be released into the wild a place where they can live happy and healthy lives not to grow their numbers. Many of these sanctuaries will actually fix their rescues to prevent breeding in captivity. I recommend taking a look at the Big Cat Rescue KZread channel for reference. They do great work. I wish that these tigers could go to a similar place rather than continue to pose a threat to the public as they do now.

U know why these people a 10000% better than all of u? Because theyre treating them ( tigers ) as their family members. First thing, they found them in the circus, living in bad condition, without their mom. Baby tigers need their mom to teach them how to hunt and live, so without mom around, theyre just dead fish. Second thing, by adopting an animal, u ard take risk of getting injure by accident. They all knows and they ard accept it, cause they ( tigers ) are their family. Third thing, are they ( tigers ) happy with this family or not? Remember that tiger is a part of cat species, and cats will only show their belly to who they trust. Stop bullshiting with the fucking wild life, how can they be fucking happy in a fucking cage in the zoo, and wild life my fucking ass. As long as humans are around, theres no such things as wild life! Id rather watching them living happy with these people, than tossing them out of the wild life, then later got shot and lives in a jar filled with ancient medicine from china.

True, but that is the animal mind. Leash is more mental, they think they're under control, the properly trained animals in leash. But that's with dogs, whoooooole different story with the biggest feline and the most dangerous land predator who's roar paralyses other mammals including humans.
