Living with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer: Week 131 Update

I've just found out I've been nominated for a go fund me award for outstanding commitment due to my fundraising efforts for Prostate Cancer and all the people that have supported me.
This is great news because if I actually won an award I simply could not think of a better way of highlighting and bringing desperately needed awareness of this cancer to so many many people.
So I'm asking you, my friends, to nominate me for the reasons above not for personal gratification but to see if we can really get this award and make a difference in the fight against prostate cancer and future funding.
There will be probably be many incredible people who deserve this award far more than I for the achievements they have done, but for me the more nominations I get the more chance that my story and my fight for PSA testing will be told.
In May, a panel of star-studded judges will meet to shortlist the finalists. Then, in July, it will be up to the public to cast their votes and decide the winners.
You can if you wish nominate me now by clicking on the link below

you will then need to paste my just giving page URL which is here

Thank you for watching this video, I’ve been making these videos as a vlog sharing my journey through Advanced Metastatic Prostate Cancer.
My world literally fell apart on Sept 15th 2021 when I was diagnosed with Advanced Prostate Cancer which according to my Oncologist is incurable (although ive never accepted that) Questions such as how long have I got left how bad is it , in fact, a whole host of frightening thoughts, where suddenly swarming around my mind and exploding at opportune moments when I felt most vulnerable.
If I were to be honest, I was lost and lonely to begin with. People don’t know how to deal with someone who has stage four cancer. It’s a taboo subject. I honestly didn’t know who to turn to for help. It can be a dark place and I only wish I could have found a channel such as this to help me through those early days.
I started writing a blog whilst I was in hospital and recovering at home after the initial treatment phase.
I then decided to make this vlog because it seemed a better way to get my story out there. I want to provide a channel where I would continue telling my story for as long as I can and invite comments from others that can also help and share their own experiences.
Cancer can be a lonely place, and I hope this channel will help someone else who may be a bit lost and feel alone whilst dealing with their own diagnosis and experience.
Nothing is ever as bad as you think it will be, and that seems to be the case so far with my experience with Prostate Cancer.
Thank you for watching the video. Please comment and subscribe if you feel like it, and please share the videos with anyone you think may find them helpful
Woody ❤️

Thanks for posting this. I started PSA testing last year. Problem with PSA tests is there is a risk of false positives and false negatives. There is a new initiative called TRANSFORM being started this year to find the best way to screen for prostate cancer

You are an inspiration Woody. A little lost why you have to wait so long for a PSA test. I had a prostatectomy a year ago, ADT therapy and radiation treatments. Prostate cancer is hopefully behind me now with my PSA being undetectable. This is because of early detection. I am behind you and with you, I also thank you. Please keep up the wonderful work you've doing.

Good to see you looking well Woody, For me PSA testing should start at 40, be annual check up then each guy knows his score and early intervention when necessary, PSMA pet scan would be even better but if we can not get a simple blood test then no hope in hell of a scan, when on holiday in Thailand I walk in off the street no appointment blood taken I get result the same day by e mail equivalent to £20-00 supposed 3rd world V supposed world class NHS
