We sail to Westfjords for some SKIING and reveal a bit about our next (own) boat! I spent a TON of time putting this one together. For example the footage was gathered from 7 different cameras 😨. Hope you enjoyed! Although we were hoping to go to Greenland on Arktika, we're super duper excited for the next chapter in our adventures... We finally found a suitable boat, and it's going to be great to have our own one again!

I wonder if the engines couldn't be fitted with engine block heaters. They are mostly used for car engines but have also been used in aircraft engines. Mainly oil heaters and coolant warmers. They use a good amount of electricity but the benefits may be worth it. I don't see a reason that they aren't used on boats.
The skiing video was absolutely beautiful. Huge props to Sophie for being a true partner in this adventure!

So glad there are no ski transport systems. No mass tourism stations. Impressive vid. Great.
Great video, great shots of skiing and the landscape, can't wait to watch your new boat project!
One of your best. The effort shows. Your camera work with the drone is always exceptional. Honestly, I've never seen anyone use a drone so competently. Beautiful work. Best wishes for future plans with the new boat.
What a Terrific episode!!! Thank you for sharing it with us! Congratulations on your new boat!
Hi Juho, this episode is absolutely epic - it is just so good and I am so excited for you. Your sailing channel is THE best one out there! Fabulous dry humour and very nice shots of the ice on the railings of the boat and also directly in front of the bow... I will be a bit envious of your midnight ski tours later this Spring when everyone else is tucked up in bed!
Always a pleasure to see your adventures of fun and Earth health through your lenses! 🇺🇸 God bless your work!
Very nice to hear and see all of you. Oh to be young and crazy again. Skiing conditions look much better than your previous adventure. Exciting to learn of your boat purchase and plans to rehab it. I see some interesting videos in the future. Stay well and safe.
The content of this channel is so good! Never though arctic sailing would be even more interesting than tropics.

Oh yea, so much more interesting than the tropics. Especially during the summer when escaping the heat is nice!
Having watched Uma do Norway, Svalbard, and Iceland, and having enjoyed all 4 episodes of 80 North, I really enjoy your view of things in the north. As a boy I camped in -20 F and had no problems. Now that I have lived three score and ten years I like to watch the cold from afar. Fond greetings from the piedmont of Georgia, USA.
I got a cold chill up and down my spine just seeing all of the spray that had frozen on the boat. Continued safety to you and your companions on your adventures. ⛵🌨🌊🗻

Always keep an eye on ice buildup, as it can make the boat very top heavy and can capsize it easily.
Enjoyed this episode very much!! I watch because the 2 of you and your fun friends have a list for life that's ..... Inspiring!! It's not easy this life.. getting to escape what surrounds me... It's a gift..One given by the videos you share.. I'm very grateful for your channel an inspired!! Thanks for sharing your lives with us and Fare winds an following sea's ✌🏼💗😊❣️
Thanks Juho and Sohvi and your friends for a exciting video. Really enjoying the Arctic landscape, hope you film some wildlife in the future. Great Job.
The footage of the mountains, and skiing (and snowboarding) is stunning, absolutely beautiful. Excellent work.
Отчаянные ребята ,когда прыгают в воду 🙂👍❗Я замёрз, когда смотрел...Удачи Вам!
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen. You guys absolutely kill it.
Bruh🤯🤯 What a beautiful place. A frozen desert!!! Respect for EVERYONES ability to get down the mountain ✊🏽 BIG UPs from DALLAS, Texas 🤙🏽
Such a different kind of boating. Different challenges. Beautiful scenery, especially the skiing! Thank you!
I can't believe how adventurous you guys are. Even when I was your age I would never have attempted some of the things you do. All the best. Cheers from Canada
Great video Juho! That drone footage of the skiing and surrounding area was superb as usual. It has been a good journey with Arkita. I look forward to seeing you get the new boat set up and ready for more Arctic fun. Thanks for sharing!
It has a stark beauty, but I’m done with cold. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to enjoy it vicariously.
Excellent episode, but I know what Artika is missing. A sauna. Cheers.
Thanks for taking us along this great trip. Good luck with finalizing the purchase of you next project.
I really hope the new boat will be a better sailor and look better. Exiting!
Great film - I don't think anyone can beat you on skiing aerials - and glad you managed to let your hair down after all the technical difficulties! Glad you've found a new boat, always thought Arctica was too expensive and complex for you guys.
Looking forward to seeing your new project. All the best.
Good to hear that together you have found your own boat.
Love their spirit and love of nature. So free
So excited for the new boat! Congratulations! You work hard so you deserve it! Great video!
Great video , its a relief to see you all wearing the correct safety gear when using the dinghy. No other sailing channel seems to bother.
Wow…just wow beautiful. Great video. What a place. I love that your production is arctic living above the circle at sea and on skis.
Love the skiing. I grew up in Colorado snow skiing, presently sailing in the Bahamas.
Can't wait to see the new boat. I love a good boat project!
Man you are tough people, thank you for bringing me on these wonderful journeys
This video was amaizing! In an another level totally. Very happy about your new project
Thanks for your captivating photography, editing and story telling. Your landscape and seascape is alien to me.“Alluring” indeed! Thanks for sharing your part of the world and your adventures there.
Stunning scenery and although I’m no skier it looked amazing. I did gasp seeing those two jump in, I could feel how cold it was lol. Very exciting news on the new boat, Arktika has been great but hopefully you have a more capable sailing boat and you will be able to make it how you want it. Cheers Andy UK
It's good to see you back at sailing and I look forward to seeing your new Yacht.
I don't ski, but I loved the footage of the skiing, what a wonderland.
Full respect for your winter boating and skiing ⛷️ adventures!!! Cheers from Alaska
Good to see you having an adventure.
Insanely beautiful snow fields, and fjords with stark colors tempered by the freezing cold....
The water just looks so beautiful and refreshing there
I love this episode! General vibe of your content is amazingly warm and positive! Thank you for that!!! Regards from Poland.
A brilliant video! well done, great effort. The landscapes are insanely beautiful, thanks for doing this. Looking forward to seeing your new boat.
OMG , the long wait was so worth it and the footage was spectacular and your efforts don't go unnoticed. Congrats on your new boat project. It will be an interesting project to watch evolve. Continued success!
That's the spirit! - Where are we heading too? - Have no idea, out to the sea I guess.
The skiing was phenomenal! What an adventure!
Amazing video! Really hyped about a new boat/project! Keep up with the great content!
Oh my gosh that is absolutely the best life!!! So grateful someone share your channel with me. Thank you for living this life and sharing it here for us all to see!
Great video and exiting news. Thanks and good luck with the new boat
Wow! So very cool…sailing…skiing…beautiful land and sea. Thank you.
Great fotage as usual, soo scenic that it is yust a pleasure to watch. Thanks
Fantastic episode. Really interesting how the landscape is so inhospitable to anchoring, I guess the sides are as steep as the mountains above, and you’re forced to anchor out where it’s more level. Good luck with the project boat
@AlluringArctic

in that particular fjord it's around 10 meters across almost the whole fjord. but there is very little cover from wind because the wind blows down the mountains, so instead of trying to tuck next to the land I personally prefer to anchor "in the middle". That way you can put out maximum scope and have half a mile of sea room to drag an anchor, should it happen ;)
👍!!!(looking forward to seeing the new boat!)
Congratulations on the new boat. Good luck guys safety sailing ⛵
Today my country was so hot ,but when i see your video make me feeling refreshed .
Great video as always. Mate i wish you and Sophie all the best in your future endeavours with your next boat. I also hope we get to see videos of you transforming it’s hull to its finished beauty. All the best to you both from Australia.
Thanks you for another well thought out and well put together video. 🥰👍🏽👍🏼
Looking forward to seeing your project boat. Congratulations!
Very enjoyable episode. Congratulations on taking a big next step!
Hope the new boat works out well for you. Sounds like fun and a lot of work. Artika has too many problems.
Fantastic landscape and skiing in the sun...down that Corrie. Your mates are bonkers for jumping in that water 😅💦

I have a whole lot of respect for what you "Cats" are doing with your lives! Never saw such a lifestyle!! Wow!!!
Thank you Juho for sending us into our dreams tonight thinking of heavenly things
Thanks, great skiing there in Iceland!
Thanks for sharing your amazing way of living! All the best!
Bravo!! Epic video. That ski montage 👏 You really are living the dream!! Can't wait to see the new boat!!!
Wow, I am so jealous. The snowboarding looks amazing.
Fantastic footage from the amazing Westfjords (and the chaos that is Ísafjörður). Great camera angles somehow catch the remoteness and the stark beauty of the place. Expect a new subscriber on Patreon...
Absolutely gets the “money shot” every time!!!wow
Superb footage. Good luck with the new venture. Pretty impressed that Sohvi is willing to push past the sea sickness to pursue the life aquatic.

Really beautiful area..not many people around here, on the east coast of Canada, sail in the winter. A lot of wind! I wouldn't be in water, this time of the year! Burrrr! Good luck on your new boat! Great video!
Hi, I'm looking forward to see your next boat!
Glad you back was wondering where you were. Xx 😀

Yeah, just too busy with all the boat work, arranging stuff for our "new" boat and so on. And this one probably took 50 hours of editing 😬
This was such a epic vlog. I am saying hello from Lake Tahoe CALIFORNIA. THE editing was our of this world. Thank you and cannot wait to see the new boat...
Excited to see the new boat. Your videos are truly epic!!!
You're great or crazy adventures, I did the sow crab season in Alaska, was hard work and fun, also I love to sail, we can feel the freedom, come from this crew love and peace
Winterising the engines while anchoring seems to be an awful lot of trouble. You could fit a small hot air heater in the engine room. A small, self-contained unit like Wallas 1300 would probebly be the simplest to fit and should solve the problem of freezing.
This looks so amazing, thanks for making my week better :) and good luck with the new boat
Hell yeah! - thanks for proper amazingness from the mountains!
What an adventure! Looks like a beautiful place.
Remember when it comes to boat refits: it will be twice your budget and triple the time you expect! Good luck guys!
Great footage man, well done, looks a lot of fun!
Great skiing footage! Best of luck with the new boat project.
Wow, phantastic pictures. Thanks for the Video.
Fun video, thanks. Congratulations on a new boat. Looking forward to more videos.
I can see that you are quite happy to have your buddies around. You guys are kind of crazy...good crazy...now I better understand why I've been living out of my suitcase pretty much since 1972.
Awesome drone footage of the skiing. You inspired me to get my own drone footage of skiing, thanks.
I'm not sure what's so crazy about that boat. It looks like a really good boat to me! Nice video too.
I live in the south west U.S. and can't tell you how interesting and beautiful this vid is!.
As a young man lived on my sailboat for 10 years approx 40 miles up the deep water channel from San Fransisco Bay. Captain Morris, a big orange striped tomcat who moved in with me, and myself sailed up the west coast, through the inland passages to Alaska. It was friggin cold & miserable. On our way back down the west coast we were having so much fun completely ignored the Golden Gate & just kept heading south. Sailed around Cabo & up the Sea of Cortez. For sure & certain warm is better.
Love the scenery, look forward to the new project
We saw you this morning from our balcony on Island Princess- bon voyage and good luck with your extraordinary cruising.
Stunning scenery, beautifully filmed. Well done
That grey hull and orange accent, I know that such trivial matters are crude to attend to, but beautiful
Awe-inspiring, marvellous exciting, KAUNIS!!
Looking forward to seeing the new boat.
