that "cotton wool" is actually a cotton plant. you pick out the white bits and that's what cotton fabric comes from being from the south in U.S. that is a common sight.
That empty wall, one big statement piece of artwork on the wall. The divider bit on the shelves made the wall too busy. There are stronger treated wood that wouldn’t bow
