Dunelm sell square and round storage ottomans I have a round one under my dressing table and it’s perfect for storing hair dryer etc and super sturdy to sit on I think the cream round one would look good with your dressing table x

Laura if you don't like the shine of the vase, rather than returning, why don't you use your 'baking soda' paint method and paint over them. They're the perfect shape and will look like something from Pottery Barn or Zara Home when finished.

The fire placement - I feel would look better without the frame. The mirror with the candles and plant is enough

I think the mantle candles/sticks are too big for the space. You need some tall, slender gold ones, still two diff heights.

In my opinion, you have too many small decor pieces in the lounge area. It looks very cluttered, maybe don’t add anything below the mirror that’s above the fireplace so that the mirror is the focal piece.
