July 2017 - For this trip to Israel, my wife and I rented an apartment in Tel Aviv, Israel, and used it as our base to explore the region. From the outside, the neighborhood and buildings look a little old and run down, but on the inside, the apartment that we rented was superb. It was spacious, perfectly laid out, and what I especially loved, and I think you will too, is the outdoor terrace / balcony. The weather was perfect in July, a little warm in the sun, but in the shade on the ends of the day on the balcony it was amazing to sit outside.
I hope you enjoyed this Tel Aviv apartment tour and that it gives you a glimpse into local living in Tel Aviv. I found Tel Aviv to be a very expensive city to live and travel in. I rented this apartment on Airbnb for $114 per night for a very short term stay, that's why it was expensive, but rent by the month can also be quite expensive in central Tel Aviv. In comparison to hotels in Tel Aviv though, for that amount of space, I found them to be quite expensive and in high demand as well.
My wife, son, and I had a great stay at this apartment in Tel Aviv!

Hey Dhruv, yes I will do my best to keep the videos on this channel and main channel synced in same location. But videos are usually a couple months behind real-time because it take me some time to organize and edit. But usually I post current updates on Instagram.

I live in Tel Aviv and my estimate will be that this apartment will cost about 1500$ per month for rent, and another 100-150$ for the bills. Hope this help anyone who's interested :)

@B K the city? Tel Aviv is not pretty like a European city but it is the best place for city life in Israel, and has great beaches - that's why people are willing to pay the price

The thing I like best about your videos is that you never say something really negative about anything. You're always trying to find positivity in everything. Well done man! Hope you have more success!
i live in israel all my life and i can tell you that living in tel aviv is one of most exspensive cities in here and in other cities you can find much beter houses and apartments for much cheeper. the reason that tel aviv is very exspensive is because the culture the beach and basicly the vibe of it. hope you enjoyed!

"Touching the trees from your balcony" what a wonderful experience 😎
It was very smart of you to include the quality of water, internet and even the electric plugs---those are important things that people may miss anticipating when traveling 👍🏼

There are two types of electrical adaptors - one for heat, like hair dryers and one for electronics, like radios. Don't mis them up!
My wife and I traveling to Israel in Dec 2019 cant wait to hit some of the small restaurants you visited.
It reminds me of the last apartment I used to live in here in Brazil. I love this style of homes so much, it's cozy and homely, more comfortable than fancier places (in my opinion). Cool vlog, Mark!! Keep it up
Great, upbeat tour of a typical Tel Aviv apartment. He accepts little inconveniences like four flights of stairs, enjoys the apartment's no-fuss size, and really appreciates what makes living there special: the sweet open air, clean water, and living outdoors most of the year. Loved that he didn't make the place look super tidy and shiny like a hotel. A little clutter makes a house (even an Airbnb) a home, in my opinion. Good post!
I visited Israel November, 2018, spent time in Tel Aviv, and also stayed in the Dan Hotel in Jerusalem. Visited other areas as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
I loved it PLEASE do more I cannot get enough of Israel. God bless you

So interesting to see how other people around the world live. I love these vlogs and getting to see such beautiful places I will never get to visit myself. ♥
So humble! I feel like I have too much stuff after seeing this. I will not buy any more than what I need from now on-no overload. God bless this couple.

Welcome to Israel and to Tel Aviv - I just discovered your VLOG today >>> I like your Crabs and Kampot Pepper - though I don't understand why people insist on going and returning to PP in the same day .... keep up the good work !

my mom lived in a building like this since the 60's. Thank goodness she was able to move to a NEWER condo near the sea for her retirement!
I love your attitude man, come to mexico you are more than welcome!!!
i live in TEL AVIV , and i loved your report !!
Micah becoming one of your team with his big eyes. An ideal rooftop terrace !!!
I'll give you a tip Don't buy your food in Tel Aviv (because it's really expensive there indeed) Take 10 a minutes drive to Bat Yam, Holon, or any other city around Tel Aviv, and buy it there, in half price

I enjoyed the apartment tour thanks for sharing.
Micah is such a cutie...I wonder when he looks back on all the amazing places hes been (at such a tender age) what he will think! 😄
It's dark in the hall way because you have to push the red button on the wall when you walk through the front door. The lights will turn on for a few minutes so you don't have to walk to your flat in the dark. By not keeping the lights on 24/7, we save electricity.
Excellent tour and commentary. Great job by Ying as well. 👍 Can't wait to see the neighborhood.
Mark, Micah is growing up so fast!
Hey Mark! welcome to Tel aviv. Hope you have an awesome time in this awesome city.
Mark there is a button next to the staircase to turn on the lights in the building! Its the button that glows orange on the wall. It saves the energy, so you only turn it on when you need it
Micah is such a well-behaved baby. I haven't seen him crying/ being fussy in any of your videos. ^_^
Just love your videos, wish I would have discovered them a long time ago but there's lots of locations to catch up on!!💜
Thank you Mark for the apt tours. I should think of travelling again
0:07 This not Downtown, Downtown is full of skyscrapers , you can’t even see them in the video
Really nice apartment in Tel Aviv. Thanks a lot for your tour there!

Hey Veronica, the brand name is Camera, I think it's Korean made. But he loves it because he can look out and see, he doesn't like the ones where he has to sit facing in anymore.
Thanks for the updates. Even if I cannot go to these places it helps to have a good idea of what it is like. Do not change your format
That outdoor terrace is amazing. It has so much use in Israel because it is warm most of the year. You can eat there, have tea, relax. I wish i had it here in NYC.
The apartments have a button in the hallways to turn on a light in the hallways. It works on a timer, like 2-3 minutes.
*Thanks for the tour Mark, Micah is sure growing...♥*

How much rent for a 100 meters, and how many months of rent do you have to pay in advance? And I won't ask about average prices, because I know they are as high as Manhattan in New York.
I love these! So helpful. Thanks! 😊
I have read that Tel Aviv does have a very desirable, sunny, Mediterranean type, climate! Beautiful!
OMG so happy that you came! im israeli and i LOVE your channel!
6:30 biggest issue while I travel since I have used to get good water whatever tap I am using in my homeland. Quite sad that theres so many places where natural thing like that is an issue.
Thank you for the trip inside your apartment.
Great video Mark. Did you also stay in this sort of lodging in Jerusalem?. I've been told that Tel Aviv is much more expensive than Jerusalem, due to it being a resort city, is that true?
beautiful city telaviv & beautiful people😌
Can you explain how to make editing to videos and how to make vlog with basics
I have not seen this video in August 20 2017, lol still love to watch, and will continue, I was not aware there was a Mark Abroad. love it, thanks for sharing. Awesome tour, thank you, you are very fortunate to be able to travel,
I live in Brooklyn and I’m from Israel and no doubt that Tel Aviv is amazing the difference between Brooklyn to Tel Aviv is kinda big but Tel Aviv very very expensive and you need to be very tough to live there
Maybe you know how muchit cost if you rent for a month?
great video mark. i live in jerusalem can't wait for your next video
Hi mark, the that you say about the internet is right, the uploading speed is low in all of Israel. You are invited to visit wile i can and would like to be your "hoater" in the aun city of Israel, were the meet the red sea, Eilat city in the south of Israel. Thank you for the great videos!!
Hi Mark. We're fans from South Africa. All these apartment tours you have done, are they Air bnb's? Thanks. Enjoying the videos.
