As a Hungarian with Kenyan wife living in Hungary, let me answer you. Yes. Yes my home is safe, the capital Budapest is also safe although as it was mentioned, there are parts which are better to avoid but they are usually the outer districts. What you find here with difficulties are african hair shops/salons so it's better if you make your own hair or got know other africans and make each others' :) Public transport is easy to use and cheap, the trasit grid is logical. My wifey came from Mombasa and she got know all Budapest in just two months. What can an african lady experience in everyday life? People will stare at you sometimes especially young men because they like black ladies but lack of courage/knowledge of language to get along. But this is not negative so don't be scared. What is shown in media is not true of course, it's like the same lies when they warn us not to go to any african countries and when i'm there, i'm shocked of the opposite. So the media lies.

Please forgive me I know this is kind of an ignorant question🙂 but I thought it was quite difficult to live in hungry a few are a minority. One of my friend and I wanted to come and visit eastern Europe but I would never consider visiting hungry because from the news I see about the leader and all that crap.

  • @JanetYabuwat

Hello Roman, it is not easy to live in a lot of countries including Hungary. No country is perfect and the media will always portray the bad things about any place. If you live in a country and just think of yourself as a minority, you will always see something to be unhappy about in that place. Yes, there are some issues with Hungary and immigrants but it doesn’t mean we are all frustrated here 😄 you can decide on how you want to live. People are thriving and building their lives here even as “minorities” You should visit and make a decision for yourself and don’t depend on the media. Hungary is a beautiful and peaceful country despite the challenges one might face. BTW, I really appreciate your question 😊
