Hello, when Kwame first moved to Hungary he did not know anyone there. But when I, Nana moved to Hungary, Kwame and a couple of my friends were already there, so it was easier for me.

Sorry for the late reply Paula. We’ve not been in Budapest in over a year so my calculations may be outdated, but it won’t be more than 3000ft but you should use the taxi app to make sure the drivers don’t try to overcharge you, most of the drivers should take card payments but you can have cash as a contingency. The aldi itself is actually not super far from kiraly which is downtown, it’s about 20 minutes walk and 12 minutes with public transport from kiraly to aldi And the spar shop is 5-6 minutes walk from the Aldi

Wow, they don't speak English? That must be challenging. Are the details on the products they sell in Hungarian? What of imported goods?

Most of the shop attendants do not speak English and you can find few imported products but also not in English as they come from non English speaking countries 😀

Hello. I see the number and is it too expensive? Example the cost of wine is 1229 I guess. How much is that in $. My agent said he found a job in Hungary and salary is $700 after taxes. Can I survive with that amount?

Hi , 1229 HUF is around 3.61 dollar, but this video is more than 2 years old. Everything is much more expensive since then, inflation was 25% in March , but groceries are at least 50-60% more expensive than 1 year ago. 700 Dollar around 238 000 HUF it sounds like a lot , but in reality it's not enough for anything , especially in Budapest. The average rent in Budapest is 560 Dollar, in the city centre 700-1030 Dollar , the cheapest flats on the outskirts of Budapest , far from the centre start at 370 Dollar. Public transport around 30 Dollar a month. Electricity/Gas/Water around 150-200 Dollar monthly. Telefon , mobile data 30 Dollar. Monthly food costs around 150-200 Dollar. It is very impossible to live on 700 Dollar in Budapest alone. I hope I could help.

@@davidbodnar3204 Thank you for helping me. I forgot to say that the job will provide a place to live and lunch. How about that? If my words are rude, please forgive me. My language skill is so bad.
