The light source some people are wondering about is the infrared that was allowing the cameras to record in complete darkness.. the human eye doesn’t seen it .. so yes I do have an IR shadow on me at some point.. also make sure you check Thomas’s video deciding to do this challenge spontaneously. ❤️

@@JanneAuer he didn’t. He said multiple times that he didn’t know the time or how much time has elapsed... the time stamps are from an edit which they would get off the infrared cameras

It's crazy how something that seems like it would be so simple, such as living in complete darkness for a handful of days, can require such strength and actually be so difficult. Nothing but just yourself, your mind, and your thoughts - it could be such an enlightening experience, or easily become an incredibly scary one. Well done here ✌️

This challenge looks extremely powerful. I have an immense fear of ghosts or anything unknown. I am too sensitive to every energy or sound that potentially surrounds me. I'll go extremely nuts and my mind will end up in such intense paranoia. Kudos to Ammar for having a disciplined and strong mind.

I know this is an old comment, but I actually think something like that might help you with that fear. Because one physiologically cant be scared for more than about 1 hour and you could experience not being scared but being calm and relaxed and that there is nothing to be scared of

This video actually changed my life. It made me realise how I am addicted to wasting my time on social media/KZread and avoid being really present in the moment all too often. I think I am not alone in this new silent struggle many of us growing up as the guniea pig generation of online constant entertainment, I am now at 23 only realising that I could achieve so much more with a bit of mindfulness and less time-wasting behaviours. For the first time in a long while I switched everything off for the day, apart from doing work on my laptop, and as much as it was tough and I wanted to watch a video, I didn't and I feel much better for it. This is the beginning of a journey and I may make slip-ups along the way, but I think in order to fulfil my greatest potential with this one life on Earth I have been given, I need to start prioritising what is really important and fight for the future I want even if my addictive brain wants to stop me, and to me this all starts with taking a moment each day to think without distraction. I hope anyone else who feels they struggle with this can find their willpower and join me on a journey of self-improvement as success will come in the long run for us all.

@@dmonleon24 I am! I think since recognising it as a problem it has been easier to be aware of it, but of course I have had slip ups and had lazy days especially after the loss of a loved one. Still though I am trying to make better progress across my life through mindfulness and some willpower. To get back into fitness I did a 5km run after zero training and I was slow af but completed it which motivated me to go to the gym and get a good routine going. I'll always watch TV, but I aim for it to only be after completing the work that needs to be done, not before.

I’m sure you wouldn’t be able to gauge what is your dreams and what is reality. I would assume they would be an overwhelming sense of engagement (being love or just a distraction) as you become a prisoner to your mind which is getting more deluded when in this unsure dream/reality state.

@@whatwasthat4797 not all blind people are totally blind. They have light perception but lets say they was totally blind they still have hearing or people nearby to engage with. Also depends on the age they went blind, if they were young or born that way I’m sure your mind would be able to adapt and not be as traumatic.

I am a graveyard shift police officer. I love to get a few minutes to drive to a more rural area of my jurisdiction and stand outside in complete silence. To just listen to the wind, look up at the stars and get lost in thought. Understand how small our problems really are and yet how powerful we all can be.

I feel like the fact that there is a camera in the room gives him some out if that makes sense. Probably a necessary one - but like he knows someone is watching him, even if it isn't in the moment. He still has some acknowledgment almost.

I think about being blind some nights because my grandma went blind later on in life… and it’s just upset me how much she missed out and how she couldn’t see the beautiful world in today time with all the new places and advancements. We definitely take a lot of thing for granted! We can pretend and stop but others are actually and can’t.

Darkness retreats are so healing! For a deeper sense of self realization it is also beautiful to live the experience in complete silence. I have done a few 10 day silent retreats that have allowed myself to heal in so many ways possible. I highly recommend this experience if you are on a spiritual journey. It's a very deep understanding towards self discovery, simplicity of being, love and compassion for yourself and others and so much more! But thank you guys for showing a broader spectrum of self healing ! The time we spend with ourselves has been taken for granted in this societ when it should be our priority as spiritual beings

Wow. I have an incredible amount of respect for you doing this. My thoughts are where the vast majority of my anxiety and fear lives. I truly feel like my fear would eat me alive in the dark and quiet. I sleep with a fan and the tv on just so keep my inner thoughts quiet as at night is when they are the loudest. Seriously , you’re just an incredible person.

I loved everything about this. I actually got teary eyed at your re-emergence. I can absolutely understand how an experience like this would cause you to go within. It almost seems like a very distinct human quirk (Power?) that helps us unlock our own potential and evolution both on a personal and shared level. For instance, I literally FELT your experience and now its a part of mine and I am changed in a very good way. Favorite video so far! thank you. Namaste.

I also started seeking discomfort in my work, like getting out of my comfort zone by studying the subject i hate, by doing crazy challenges like not sleeping for 3 days, etc... After completing challenges i get a different feeling thanks to you guys for inspiring me....❤️

This is my first KZread comment, for sure my first sincere one. I found this very profound and has sparked a deep level of thinking about my life and the world in general, thank you.

My immediate first thought was "I'd just go on the bed and relax on my phone" and then I remembered... really goes to show how much we're attached to technology

This video was hard to watch. I found myself wondering if I could do it and how my inner demons would react. I enjoyed seeing the transformation from boredom to acceptance. Great video and reminder to love each day even if it’s just a part of each day you love.

I watched the Aubrey Marcus doc, sky life, and now this one. I hope this man is so very proud of himself and his courage! I am inspired.
