Man I didn’t expect to cry the way I did🥺 I can relate to her in so many ways especially when it comes to that part of forgiveness. God had to bring me through a healing process and it wasn’t easy but it was worth it. He taught me how to see pass the actions of those who hurt us and see straight into their hearts of what’s really behind those actions, what’s really goin on deep down. I really love the fact that she narrated her own story, honestly this is probably one of the best biographies I’ve ever watched. Keep going guys, Jesus loves you so much and desires a relationship with you. His plans for you are not of harm but of love. He wants to comfort you when you’re down and pick you up when you fall. Love you and I pray this blesses you 🕊

This has been one of the most healing documentaries I've ever experienced. The loss of a father dynamic and how Natalie depicts it in this movie is just mind-blowing. Her relationship with her mother is so identical to what I've experienced in my life and relationship with my mother...literally blew my mind and was so heart ranching. We always assume that daughters will have the best relationship with their mothers and yet its not always the case. I have always had a more positive experience with my father, not perfect but he left in me the type of eternal love that my mother just couldn't. Instead I've always felt like my mother and I somewhat competed for his love, she made me feel it so deeply even after he passed on. I never went into drugs but I had other addictions and always felt so alone. I'm a psychologist now, and a holistic wellness practitioner. Natalie Cole's story is so relatable on so many levels.

I was hesitant to watch this, thought it would be some cheesy thing. But I cried especially when Marvin passed and then I had to get the Kleenex. I was born in ‘59 and Nat died in ‘65, but I grew up on my mom’s 78 records and fell in love with Nat King Cole. This was an outstanding movie about these two incredible people ❤❤

Not everyone lives through it to tell their story. As she said it, the pain of loneliness is one very deep inside and it is that cold, dryness that subconsciously draws to getting comfort somewhere. How good to have loving people near, who stick instead of turning their backs on you when you most need them. Our love may very often be imperfect, but some love is better than none. Anyone can see how good she looks -in the end-. She looks whole and beautiful and that testifies of her victory. She acknowledged God and she understood that she had to fight. Many blessings!!

One of my all time favorite singers. I was blessed to see her live in the Circle Star Theater in San Francisco in 1980. She told the audience she finally came to terms with the passing of her father and that she could finally sing a couple of his songs. She was fantastic in her own right, and hearing her sing her father's songs was glorious. I loved both Nat's and Natalie's songs too. I remember watching this at age 20, soon after I bought the Everlasting album CD. that album really "jump start" her career. I'll never forget this moment and I was feeling bad for Natalie.I was wondering why they got to almost the end of the film to have the real Natalie. Rip Natalie Cole, you were unforgettable
