LIVERPOOL MURDER MYSTERY JULIA WALLACE 1931
The final resting place of both Julia Wallace the victim and the accused her husband William Herbert Wallace buried together
The brutal murder of Julia Wallace in 1931 became one of Britain's great unsolved murders. People began arguing about the case almost immediately and continue to do so to this day. Julia was the middle-aged wife of a mild-mannered Liverpool insurance agent, William Herbert Wallace.
William Herbert Wallace (29 August 1878 - 26 February 1933) was an Englishman convicted in 1931 of the murder of his wife, Julia, in their home in Wolverton Street in Liverpool's Anfield district. Wallace's conviction was later overturned by the Court of Criminal Appeal, the first instance in British legal history where an appeal had been allowed after re-examination of evidence.

An extremely interesting video one of the best.I must get hold of the books to get more info as this is a new story for me.
I've just come across this video What a story! Any more like this? It was great.
Before you comment ,read the books ,,simple then come back ,and give your ,Verdict
Very interesting story 👍
Really enjoyed the story ,I think he killed her ,he went to a lot of trouble to create an alibi .
Thank you for showing the story and the place. I don't think Wallace is the murderer but his assistant. I read through some of the books and videos about this case and I am convinced it is his assistant that killed Julia after he wanted to steal Wallace's money but caught red-handed.

@@talcumpowder1000 yes, man. Richard Gordon Parry. He is the most suspicious, according to many books and videos I have watched.

@@sksk17828 So's Wallace according to more readings but Parry had a flair for the dramatic and was most likely Qualtrough

@@talcumpowder1000 Yes, he was also seemingly interested in drama and making pranks so mimicking a phone call should be an easy job for him.
Just follow the evidence. The problem was that there wasn't enough evidence to convict anyone. That's why the appeal was upheld. On the evidence no reasonable jury would have convicted Wallace and found him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The police early on decided that it must be him: failed to properly follow up leads that would have sent them in another direction e.g Parry. They completely contaminated the murder scene. They unfairly influenced independent witnesses to change their story about timings to fit in with their theory. Perhaps the best audio of this mystery is Who Killed Julia? which you can find on KZread. Well worth a listen.
Que historia interesante! Gracias por el relato!
Not sure yet…I’m reading a book at the moment….I will post a comment when I’m finished though…
A lot of people feel he was innocent and point the finger at Parry. However, now it seems to be pointing more at his neighbours the Johnsons.
I think he got someone to do it and that's why he got as many people to know where he was
Wallace was guilty as sin!!
