My eldest son had NO symptoms. He simply was going to a 4th of July celebration, looked into the mirror and the whites of his eyes were yellow. Sat in ER for 3 hours before he was examined. Total liver failure. Admitted him, performed normal protocol. He was dying. His case went to a committee that decides if you get a transplant. Unbelievably, his kidneys etc….heart…..healthy as a horse. In my opinion genes and hereditary factors also play in this disease. He didn’t eat well, fatty liver, he drank too much beer but never seemed intoxicated at parties, football, baseball or lacrosse games. He’s married, no kids, travels everywhere you can imagine. Apparently the Spring and Summer are the “season” for organs. What? I was told they get drug ODs, brain dead. My son was heavily insured, had to sign a contract that they could take his house if he ever drank or compromised his new liver. Within 7 days he had a complete match, it’s more than just blood type, it’s enzymes, size of liver, and it does not matter the sex. I knew nothing of this, family was grateful. So, he got the liver and it wasn’t easy. 2 weeks into this my youngest son died in an accident. He donated his organs. Saved 5 people in 3 states. How in God’s name could this happen? But it did. All recipients are alive 2 years later and my son’s heart beats on in a 45 year old. The oldest son is thriving, my daughter is a first responder and remarked that her little brother passed it forward. Me? I am still struggling.

@@violaspencer5628 Apparently there are genetic mutations that can be hereditary. His biological father, his paternal grandfather both had liver issues AND kidney issues both are deceased. While young, my son did not participate in recreational drugs, I do know in college was the start of the binge drinking of beer. I guess all considered, including his adult crappy eating habits all contributed. The liver couldn’t deal with toxins, interfered with nutrition absorption, he put on weight. Now, he is at ideal weight, works out, has tremendous energy and looks healthy. It was hell for 2 months and a year of physical, psychological therapy. No drinking. PETH tests are performed which can detect if you have drank alcohol with in last 30 or so days, they run every kind of blood test and he’s doing great. Sorry, writing a book here but if any of this helps someone, it’s worth the time.

I read that middle aged men (I'm 46 years old) should use milk thistle for multiple reasons. It's for the liver and is apparently very effective for balancing blood sugar and hormone levels. Cinnamon, ginger, and milk thistle seems to be the most effective supplements for middle aged men's health.

My mother in law has a fatty liver but she doesn’t care. Orders fried food when we go out. Eats hot dogs and chocolate chip pancakes. The sad thing is that she knows all this information. The person has to WANT to do something about it. It’s frustrating being on the outside and caring about her more than she cares about herself. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink. Maybe when she’s on a donor list she’ll start to care 😢.

Really difficult to determine anything. All I know is that I have some horrifying signs that my kidney, liver and heart are not doing well since 6 years ago. I have weekly gout attack. Hypertension was off the chart. My stool turned pale. Body aching daily. Lethargic all the time. Did not sleep well. Cold sweat at most times. I knew I was in deep trouble, health wise. I tried everything. Medication, supplement, diet, cut sugar, cut alcohol, cut carbo...yet the atack is practically weekly. This is until 6 months ago. Come across a channel saying that there is something more dangerous than sugar. Its cooking oil. Replace my cooking oil with coconut oil and olive oil. Throw in a 24 hrs fasting per week with moderate carbo and a little sugar. Haven't have a attack for 2 months now. Blood pressure stabilise. Alert throughout the day. The back aches, the nausea...all gone. Got back colour in my stool. I am now far from 100 % but I get my quality of life back. More than willing to embark on a weekend grocery shopping with my wife. Other bonus. Can drink coffee in the evening and still sleep soundly at night and a weekly glass of whisky. Hopefully this will help someone.

Take N Acetylcysteine (NAC), the most potent liver detoxification compound you can get. It is the precursor for glutathione, which is the body's most powerful detox and antioxidant, and NAC is the best way to get Glutathione; NAC is the only thing that can reverse paracetamol overdose-induced liver damage, which is the protocol in hospitals for liver damage/failure from APAP, and also avoid alcohol so you do not get to this point. FLD and NFLD are the biggest causes of liver damage after alcohol use.

doctors best NAC, 600 mg every day. I also take the eye drops to keep Cataracts from forming / growing. People say these eye drops do not work but would the FDA say they can cause eye infection, having them pulled from us shelves if they did not work? "you can touch something with bottle and transfer this as an infection to your eye". OMG< that could happen with any eye drops. yep, they work and the fake health care want them gone to increase cataract operations!

This video provides a lot of very good explanations and suggestions. I went keto five years ago. It was a struggle over the first year but slowly I recovered from insulin resistance and fatty liver along with celiac disease. I came off all drugs and shed all my weight and even the excessive skin through auto phage when periodically fasting. I reduced the temperature of my home, used no heating in winter to accelerate metabolic function. Carbohydrate is like slow acting cyanide. If it doesn’t kill you outright, it will disable you. It will take a cherished life and send it to hell. Today nothing goes into my shopping basket that has carbs above 5%. I have only moderate exercise, no need for high impact, high strain activity at all. No one lives forever but everyone can have a full life.

That's incorrect. And what do you thunk .educunsl herbs ARE? MEDICATIONS. A lot of meds, like aspirin, were previously taken as am "herb" (willow bark isn't exactly an herbal, but never mind, print is valid. However, it's VERY hard on the stomach. A young chemist at Bayer, back around 1890s, father begged him for help, as the willow bark he took for arthritis was causing severe stomach pain and bleeding, so he added a couple of isotopes, and created aspirin. This worked so well, it inspired him yo do the same with opium (specifically, the morphine active agent), Coca, and a few other goodies. Bayer had early advertising of woodblock A, B. C...for the trip that made them the powerhouse pharmaceutical company they still are. Bayer was built, proudly, on aspirin, heroin, and cocaine.

If your pee is the colour of cola, you probably have a few days left. These symptoms are generally the 'quite serious' ones, and would require immediate action such as alcohol cessation, hospitalization, diet changes, and hard monitoring to maintain the course. The liver generally doesn't give a lot of warning, and when it does you had better pay attention, because your life depends on it.

Some right some wrong. Diet should be low carb, 50 grams or less per day, with high meat intake. The largest liver institute and many in the medical community are now seeing this. Intermittent fasting of 24 hour periods is also beneficial in keep your main artery in your live functioning properly. Lemon juice and organic apple cider vinegar with the mother also greatly helps. Feel free to look at the studies from major universities and the medical community who follow what I just gave you. I took my blood count from 16,000 to 154,00 in less than 2 weeks and lowered to my ALT and AST to normal and just about normal as well. Also add hydrogen water. Again don't just believe me but look at the research. Turn the food pyramid upside down and that is what you should be doing.

And. Ever go with out it. Once you start feeling it and see the results. Hmu I’ll give you more tips. It’s worth it.

I went for a Ct scan for kidney stones and found out I have an enlarged uterus along with liver disease. This all comes about 18 months after having a Thyroidectomy for thyroid cancer 🤦🏻‍♀️ I know the liver disease is partially genetics and diet as well as I take ibuprofen practically daily.. My grandmother passed at the age of 65 due to cirrhosis of liver mostly from drinking beer. She also had hypothyroidism.

People, especially medical professionals, who say “pee” instead of urine lose credibility. Why do adults use baby-talk? I was taught to use proper terminology as a child, and my children learned to speak correctly because I never spoke down to them. As a teacher, I’ve seen children as young as age five be able to pronounce complicated names of 🦕 🦖dinosaurs (even longer names for them in Ojibwe). Saying poop and pee sounds ridiculous. 🙄

What do you think medicinal herbs ARE? Opium, willow bark (aspirin), coca, ephedrine (Mormon tea), foxglove (digitalis), coffee, tea, innumerable common drugs started out life as herbal remedies. Everything is dangerous in excess, most aren't w/ reasonable usage, and having the consistency provided by chemical processing(chemist, and chemistry, were originally alchemy, or available (some still are, through compounding pharmacies, herbalists, etc.) Chemistry just meant a,way of isolating certain active parts of plants & making them consistent in composition and dosage; sometimes made them safer as we'll. Read "Flowets in the Blood," a thorough historical examination of certain drugs by the scientific team writing the famous "HighTimes." Very edifying and stops a lot of misconceptions about "natural" bring automatically "hood" and pharmaceutical being automatically "bad." It's in the truth in advertising, and the methos, dosages, and frequency of use. BYw, St. John's wort, used for centuries for depression, can be very dangerous. So can a lot of herbal medicines (check richtets', a company that has sold herbs for years, with warnings where appropriate) and lots of historical infi and modern research as well, plus help inuse and growing as well, including actual phone contact with their head of growing their products. A lot of good herbals available from simple to complicated dependingupon yourlevel of interest, preexisting knowledge, and desire to keep it simple or complicated. Many "healthy" foods, fruits, vegetables and roots can also be extremely toxic - it all depends on what parts you eat (rhubarb, cassava, even potatoes) can be very healthy or very deadly- depending on parts consumed, knowledge of person making preparation, maturity of plant. Etc.

Unfortunately a number of the remedies mentioned are not recommended if you are on some blood pressure pills or blood thinners. Sadly many meds prevent you from using healthy remedies. That is the problem with prescription medications.

Might look unto eating the grapefruit and or the greens instead of taking the pills. Getting off prescriotion drugs is arguably the healthiest thing you can do, except for rare circumstances. Guard your immune system like your life, in other words. Imo.

Until I know what's going on, I need to continue prescription meds. But I am looking into healthy options if I can use them in the future.

Also with prescription meds, if you are taking any kind of heart meds, and start eating grapefruit, it weakens the meds for the heart. My dad ate grapefruit unaware that he wasn't supposed to mix grapefruit and digitalis. He was never informed. It was a fatal lesson..

Also the problem with herbal remedies...knowledge and experience is key. Even rhubarb and potatoes can kill you. Depends entirely on consistency of active principals, preparation and knowledge & experience of person preparing the food, fruit, seed, vegetable, species of plants, which parts are used, the maturity of the plant and the knowledge and experience of person preparing the plant ourms.

It would be nice to trust a source when it comes to health, and most of this information seems accurate, but when they point to red meat as a negative their credibility goes out the window. Even in their section about red meat they point to a study about people who are overweight and consume a lot of animal protein, talk about misleading. Why not people who are fit that eat a lot of red meat? Well, the answer is obvious, that will not give them the results they are looking for. There is absolutely nothing unhealthy about red meat, you have been lied to for decades when it comes to meat. It's hysterical, overweight people who consume a lot of animal protein.....what a joke!!!
