I would be more cautious of Catholic churches, statistically speaking. However, I'm paying more attention to the messages Aaron is teaching kids, and so far it's nothing but skateboarding. When a new trick involves holding metal rods while answering questions, then I'd start to worry.

it's a religion. if you're familiar with religion, you'll know that people believe in all sorts of wacky stories. this religion is not any different, except that it's created by a science fiction writer. they believe in an alien named xenu for instance. when compared to people believing in a arc carrying impossible amounts of animals, it's wacky no matter which way you slice it. people call it a cult because it's new (with a few other reasons), and if you're familiar with "cults" (see jonestown massacre), it's a sensitive subject for many.
