I think it all comes down to personal preference. Both have goods and bads, it's just about what you prefer. Some people don't like how live resin uses solvents, while others don't care. Some people prefer live resin cause it's cheaper, but if money isn't an issue I personally would go with live rosin.

there is a bigger difference, in live rosin there is trichome selection and the trichome heads arrive intact, and get pressed with little to no heat, what can bring a finer and more selected taste, also live resin is way more intense in the lungs due to the terpene concentration, while in live rosin i find it more enjoyable.

Great video dude I love the way live rosin taste though but live resin gets me too high and also taste damn good I think some people use live rosin to make good tasting material cause they do use high quality to make it but live resin will always get the job done if it’s quality

Pacific Pine Cannabis has some fine ass live rosins up here in Wa. Their live rosin carts are a game changer. So smooth, tasty, great lasting effect vs fleeting effect from distillate. I find live resin leaves something to be desired for some reason

I’m fortunate to live in a state that has incredible quality control and regulations. The prices are very high… but so is the quality of 510’s distillates and live rosins/resin carts. It’s $40-$50 for a tier 1 510, and $60 for a .5g rechargeable disposable Live Rosin cart, but they get it to 78-80% thc sometimes. The one I’m smoking now is 73% and tastes amazing. They got the temp perfect.

All comes down to preference, but for me, if I can afford a rosin I usually prefer it. Maybe just placebo but it feels like a more steady high. also no solvents is deffo a plus

I love both! but live resin has been my jam latley. Dry sift rosin is also good!

Don't forget live resin is exposed to low level heat, often near 100 degrees, for days during the solvent purge. Live rosin is exposed or only seconds before escaping the plates

I've read that depending on the seller, legal butane hash oil can actually have much more leftover butane than illegally manufactured BHO, just because the current regulations suck and allow for almost unlimited leftover solvents.

The legal limit in Canada is 5000 parts per million, I believe some States it’s 1000

For Hydrocarbon extraction it’s 5000 ppm per gram. Benzene is 2 ppm, Toluene 890 ppm, Hexane 290 ppm, Xylenes 1 ppm. These are trace amounts and pose no known threat. Black Market, if you don’t know the brand you don’t know what your getting. Literally.

@@paulhowse6169 Ah, in the USA, they just recently increased the butane regulation from a maximum of 800 ppm to 5000 ppm. No idea why they would do that... With those HORRIBLE regulations, it's actually better to buy from someone you trust even if they aren't licensed. I agree that you never know what you're getting on black/gray markets tho, I just trust my vendor.

The problem is that, most companies who make live resin don’t really care about terps or residual solvents so they end up doing a really shitty extraction that comes out tasting horrible. If there were resin companies on par with hash companies such as 710 or apothecary farms, then live resin would be amazing, but since a lot of companies (especially in legal states like Cali and coli) don’t really put love and care into their resins, it comes out shit, not a lot of terps, and mostly THCA with no other minor cannabinoids

So there’s a difference between live resin and cured resin? Never seen cured resin carts online but I’m curious.

With live resin you do tend to loose terpenes after the extraction process is complete with live resins due the vacuum purge after to remove the bho solvent this removes some terpenes leaving the resin at a more stable product live rosin made right has way more terpenes and cannabanoid hence the volatility of rosin(it needs to stay cold) this is terpenes degrading from the heat of the room so I'd say rosin taste more like a natural plant unlike bho sometimes

@@alexisalliel73 ethanol extract does not compete in this arena.. also if you don't use heat and vacuum you will have residual ethanol. Unless you leave it out for days/weeks which will massively degrade the product

I have a personal preference for full extract with ethanol because I use mostly for edibles and to my opinion It really does a good job passing down all the flavors of the plant. I dont really like smoking, vaping or dabbing anymore. And once cooked, the ethanol is gone, also I dont give a damn if it's not ^^.

Well all dispensaries are mandated to tell you what solvents were used to extract whatever concentration you buy. So youll just have to see what has what in it and id say youll be fine but overtime it may take a toll on your health.

Live rosin off the press is tasty if it isn't cured and stored right after pressing it the terps do evaporate and the rosin budders, which is why it seems like it has a less terpy flavor profile

Rosin is superior. I'm hitting on a Kayo venom OG live Rosin cart. And it took me like 15 seconds to realize this wasn't an ad.

I'm new to dabbing and using concentrates like this (I've been smoking carts for a few years). I bought a budder concentrate and I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but was kind of let down. I am interested in trying these new and apparently better types of concentrates

I like both but live resin is better . I usually buy it at my local literally next door dispensary here 🇨🇦, 1 gram of good live resin is with taxes $40 to $45 at the dispensary I go to but I know other dispensaries here sell it for more .

Question, I’ve been smoking flower literally almost every day for the last 2 or so years so around 730 days of just smoking straight flower and my throat and chest are really starting to feel it now, which is why I’m switching to using my elite 2 vaporizer, but even then, is smoking a Solventless hash rosin cartridge better than smoking flower? need an answer please.🤙🏽

@@420_momentumhen you purge live resin you expose it to heat for way longer than rosin is exposed to heat, they both test comparably in terps but numbers don’t tell the full story when it comes to how a product containing terpenes and cannabanoids will smell, taste, and smoke. Live resin loses something that rosin doesn’t imo, the effects of rosin are usually more full bodied and longer lasting for me. The taste of live resin is sometimes more pronounced but it usually has a background “bho” taste (not talking butane flavor from unpurged live res but just that slight flavor that makes it not taste just like flower). Live resin can still be great, especially the best of the best, but I usually prefer rosin. Full melt is great too if I feel like treating myself.

Live rosin is definitely my favorite concentrate. Have some Alien Wedding at the moment that is amazing.

I love both, but I prefer live resin. It's very pricey in the NorthEast rec market. I've been smoking some honey banana and Strawpaya live resin from MFNY that honestly is the the top 5 tastiest concentrates I've ever tried.

Hey now!!! You just might be the guy for this deed. Someone needs to start a concentrate workshop here in Florida. 1000% there would be more people onboard the concentrate train if they weren’t so intimidated or if they just had more information on what bangers or terp pearls are. ask an ole head what a chazzed bucket is and you’ve lost him. Once every 3 months on a Saturday afternoon or evening. $20 a person. I wasted $120 in shatter because I wasn’t informed on how to store it properly.

You dont need organic flower to avoid pesticides. I grow in a facility we are 100% A-Biotic, we sanitize, and fertilize with salts. When it comes to foliar sprays we use the same stuff living soil facilities do. Our only bug prevention methods are our cleanliness SOP's and beneficial bugs from Koppert etc.

Live resin if winterized during extraction BhO or co2 will be cleaner and terps will be higher .some heat is used for Resin after winterization also but never above 90-95 deg. Resin has higher content than rosin because it's more concentrated. Resin is the best bang for the buck.

Something you didn’t consider for BHO is the purging process. When you purge butane from an extract that is “cooking” it. It is boiled off with heat. So you boil off terps as well so the point about difference in flavor is kind of null

Terp slerpers are not worth the hype, cew is 100% right here its a pain to clean u have to clean it after every dab if ur not doing it for a video no one actually uses them on a daily basis unless ur sponsored by a glass company lol

This is great. I was wondering why I think live resin tastes better than live rosin. After hearing so much hype about live rosin, I expected to like rosin over resin. I tried live rosin cold cure and live resin cake badder of the same strain produced by the same grower/processer, and noticed the live resin tasted better. It may just be this one producer, but I noticed that all their live rosins have this slight after-taste that is present in all strains that their live resins did not have. From my perspective, taste is more important than whether or not solvents are used in production; but I also treat my body like shit.
