Seahawks were a skidmark on the underpants of the league in run defense last season. Seattle drafts to stop the run. People are unhappy. These same people whined and cried about run defense every game last season. Seattle addresses it. People are unhappy with the pick. You people make no sense.

Seattle basically had the #2 pick in the draft since we were gonna go defense pretty much no matter what. I think the only players we may have over were Brock bowers and the couple linemen that were chosen. But I have no doubt that Bryan Murphy was their top defensive player and so to be able to get the player the best defensive coach thought was the best defensive player, very hyped about it.

Yeah I thought for a moment Bowers might fall to us but once the Raiders took him I was more than happy to get either of Turner, Murphy, or Verse and they very clearly thought Murphy was the best decision as Brock mentioned I have no doubt in my mind the Vikings were calling the Hawks asking to trade up. Not only that they picked him with like 5+ minutes on the clock so they had real conviction of their pick.

As another 3rd great draft for 12s has begun with R1 Murphy & R2 pro bowl Big Cat & following traders & IR redshirts of R4 age 22 QB (who had better TD INT stats after 17 games than J.Allen) Sam Howell & Red shirts ( IR or injury returners ) R2 Derek Hall ( who cud explode in yr 2 like Mafe did after an injury hobbled rookie yr) R4 Cam Young & IR R5 DL award winner Mike Morris The Fantastic 4 (Bm Big Cat Morris & Jarran), are really good Trench boys who will play very well this yr, giving a huge boost to the D Cobra Murphy is big big fan of LoB & fave SB is Hawks win. And that's why our interior line will keep sucking. No creed Humphrey, traded Max Unger, can't pick up a decent guard. Fave player is Mike Bennett. 12s prayers got answered, 12s got Bennett 2.0, but at v young age, 21, & means BM will be better than Mike & win more SB's with Seahawks very soon. They got worried about fautanu knee health. Grubb knows TF very well, so we should trust them rejecting big troy. BIGGEST RUN WALL WILL BE BUILT. NO ONE WILL RUN ON THE HAWKS. D will get off the field quickly & stay fresh, thus increasing sacks & INTs. The O will get great field position & score much more. It starts with RUN D & RUN O, in cold rainy icy slippy seattle. Alleluia !

I don't think Bennett is the comp at all, Murphy has less height and reach but more beef AND speed, good technique too. As interior guys go you hope he ends up like an Aaron Donald. Smaller but tenacious and disruptive is he isn't double teamed.

Probably Dallas Turner the #1 edge in the draft and many people’s number 1 overall defensive player. Or Troy Fautanu from Washington since O-line is a big spot to fill. While I would have preferred those other options, it’s very clear, Byron Murphy was Schneiders #1 defensive player on their board, and if they think they got their #1 guy being best player available I can’t be disappointed.

@redjetsen1002 Well we've got Dremont and Williams and now Murphy and usually in a 3-4 scheme you have two of those guys on the line at a time so they can rotate which is good so they don't get tired so easily.

If the Hawks are going to charge premium prices and they better put a premium product on the field. This kid had better be Aaron Donald.

The only reason he was even there was because everyone was picking qb & offensive players. He most definitely wasn't going to be there within a couple more picks. The 16th was the absolute latest he was projected to be taken. What do you mean "nobody wanted him"?
