Interesting they were double teaming Murphy, not just Sweat! He will definitely improve Seattles D-line! He also played NT! 👍

Dre’mont Jones better play much better than last season or he’s gonna be gone by the end of the season, period! They’re paying him Way TOO much MONEY for his abysmal stats last season! Hopefully Coach Mac can bring out his best version of himself and in our defense!!

Couldn’t agree more with your take on this guy!!! He’s incredible and will for in perfectly with McDonalds ODD/ TITE fronts and play that gap and a half and 2 gap wonderfully

@@Wibboo Seahawks have had some bad luck in the past with first rounders.
The concept of Murphy getting stronger is downright scary. Have you seen his weight room numbers as a 21 year old? Power clean, squat, etc.?
This is almost more of a Penix video than a Murphy video, lol. Penix looks incredible in some of these plays.

I know. Atlanta fans need to take a long hard look at this film because my boy Penix is him!! Ain't a chance in Greek Cousins is avoiding Murphy if he gets that close to him. That's a wrap!!!! So happy we got Murphy at #16 and my boy Penix was drafted at #8 with Rome going right behind him at #9!!!! Go DaWgs!!! Go Hawks!!!!

And just like that, in Hankins, Williams and Murphy, the Seahawks have a Super-Bowl caliber interior D-line. We got the best defensive player in the entire draft ... at #16, which is amazing, then we got a two-time All American stud of a Guard. Good draft all around!
Seattle just might’ve gotten their version of Aaron Donald❗️🙏☑️. Seahawk’s potentially get there “DISRUPTER” in the middle for the next decade+! I’m glad that took the best player available. And it just so happens most analysts said he was the best defensive line player in the entire draft! I really wanted Troy Fautanu, but our rush & pass defense last year was at the bottom of the NFL! They could still get Roser Rosengarten..He also ran a 4.91 in the 40. I’m sure he could play guard too! Even as a quality depth option.

Pas rush was bad because Seattle couldn't get team into pass downs. When it's 2nd 4, 3rd and 1. series after series. The offense can do what they want. When they got teams in passing downs they weren't bad at all. Not great but not bad.
Alongside Williams and Reed, and having Mafe and Nwosu outside, Murphy is gonna FEEAAST!!!

Thanks to all the teams reaching for QB’s allowing the Seahawks to steal this guy at 16 in the draft. Unlike the Atlanta Falcons the Seahawks addressed their biggest needs in the draft especially in the first 2 picks they had in rounds 1 and 3. Seahawks!
He admired and imitates Michael Bennett. I think he could develop into a similar type of player, especially if he gets stronger.

If he gets stronger he can be even better than Bennett. Dare I say be on the same level as Aaron Donald maybe not his rookie season but give him 2 or 3 years to develop

contending for what............Hawks still have the 4th best QB in the division.... and everyone the Hawks play next year got significantly better (Hawks be playing the top 4 picks, Rodgers, Cousins, Allen, Tua... not to mention 49ers/Rams will still pummel the Hawks lol) with a rookie head coach and an OC with no NFL experience.

@@je1ce911 hawks are goin 2-4 in the division at best (probably 0-6 as cards with harrison jr/murray will be clearly better at the most important roster spots) That 0-6 div record means a 5-6 non div record or 6-5... vs Jets (Rodgers), Miami (Tua), Buffalo (Allen), Pats (#3 overall pick Maye), Bears (#1 pick), Packers, Lions, Atlanta (cousins). Basically every team the hawks play will have a better QB than us. Period..you can count the easy wins on 1 hand only.... not 2 like last year. Cardinals literally let the hawks win that last game to secure the #4 pick. Purposefully missing 2 FGs and letting Geno score that late TD. Geno is 2-14 vs quality non-backup QBs with a rookie OC..... any time the Hawks played a real team last year, they got smoked.... then got wins vs paper teams... their record was overinflated.
I dont watch any college football so this film breakdown makes me love the pick even more. The play where he beats his double team before any of his teammates beat their 1v1 blocks is insane! Seahawks might have found their version of Aaron donald
I can't believe that he made it to 16. Murphy is reliable and KNOWS how to play DT. In the UW game he had my attention and it was the first time I saw him play. Getting away from the blocks entirely and still getting to the ball.

Sounds like Murphy can help the Seahawks run defense out A LOT this year with his ability to hold his ground and get up field.

It seems like players with the same names or very similar names happens a lot more than one would expect in the nfl. As an example, last year, there was another byron Murphy that played the same position in the draft. Idk, just something i have always noticed and thought a little weird.
I can't believe we got this guy at 16

he said Murphy needs to get stronger but he was the strongest player on our team for the past two years. hate he left but by year two he's gonna dominate.

Murphy was an absolute monster that day against Washington. But Penix didn't flinch once, That's why Atlanta took him.
