Ministers need to do their work with integrity n don disgrace the party n worst our small nation. If they want to have extra love go to private sectors. 1)There is no requirement for the speaker to be an elected-MP, going forward I suggest considering appointing non-politicians as speaker. 2) Retired judges or professors of good reputation and public standing would make good options. They would certainly be perceived as more neutral and impartial. 3) It would also have the advantage of freeing up one MP to participate in debate, because as it stands now, if your MP becomes speaker, he/she cannot speak up on issues in parliament, because speaker cannot participate in debate.

That could be possible. The recounts by the Prime Minister does not mean it should be taken as the truth and only truth. Extramarital affairs are however shameful in Singapore society, so even if the facts deviate, he would abstain from making further comments to aggravate the situation.

The Leader of Opposition Pritam Singh is on fire and raised critical questions on the behaviour of the ruling party keeping information from the public and took so long to reveal this extra marital affairs to the public. He has raised sharp and relevant questions on the standing comm selection of the two adulterers. Had the ruling party been empathy on the case of Raesha Khan, the public would have seen the ruling party in a different light. Anyway, let the other 60% Singaporeans judge for themselves whether they want more of the oppositions to be voted into Parliament to be a good check and balance rather than ownself check ownself where an affair was kept from the public for at least 3 years and many other issues such as the Ridout properties case, Iswaran's case, etc. If LKY was still around, LCJ and CLH would have been sacked long ago. There is clearly a different standards in the dealing of matters from opposition and the ruling party. if it is the oppositions, the news will report as "extra marital affairs" and if it is ruling party, it will be reported as "inappropriate behaviour". Please dont take the public as idiots when you use words like this usng the news trying to create an impression of the public towards the oppositions.
