@@bcoull290Putting blood or DNA samples directly into plastic cups could lead to contamination from the cup material itself leaching into the sample. It also provides an environment conducive to bacterial/enzymatic degradation of the DNA. Sure putting them in evidence bag may have helped..the DNA integrity was already compromised. I didn't catch Allison stating "when John was at the house" before, but now that it's been pointed out to me, I'm guessing that slip is part of why she broke down crying; not only has she been harassed but she's covering for someone or more than one person and she knows that didn't sound good for the prosecution.

Alison was talking about the vast amount of nasty harassment the family have been subjected to. She actually said that part of that harassment was that bloggers/online persons were accusing Colin of murder when they said that Colin was in the house when John was there. She qualified this by saying “but he wasn’t, I drove him home.” People only heard the very last part of her statement “Colin was in the house when John was there,” and they ignored all the rest. That part of the statement was used on KZread to get sympathy for Karen Read.

They did convene grand Juries but that testimony can't be used against them for anything but impeachment. The feds used to use a trick to investigate public corruption. They would grant an innocent defendant immunity and let crooked trials happen. So they could gather tons of evidence against crooked public officials. I feel like this case is so over the top because it has to be. They know if there's not pig DNA and all this other crazy stuff a jury just might buy Morrissey didn't know Karen Read was innocent bullshit. This is a very weird case. Not only is the defendant innocent. They know who killed John O'Keefe. They know where in the house it happened. They know why he was killed. Most of all. There's no way the prosecutor and judge doesn't know it all too. Because both know this case inside and out and have seen all the evidence. They know Brian Higgins turned. They know he gave a federal proffer. They know Wanless removed Karen's tail light before it was smashed. Another person on the defense witness list. Two people who were in the Canton police garage when that part of the framing went down. And they're willing to testify for the defense.

A good investigation seeks the truth, leaves no stone unturned, and catches the bad guys - who get punished. Expect the opposite if the investigators ARE the bad guys. If the truth got out, they would lose EVERYTHING. I would add to that, "and they still could (lose everything)," but we rarely see that kind of justice. Money & power, corruption & intimidation. All of this being allowed in was so messed up. I hope the defence has enough material and by the end the jury wont put much on this witness and her "texts".

Karen Read gave an interview that aired on Nightline a year ago. She said she was waiting in the car for John to confirm they were actually invited and welcome there. She told John that she did not hear the two of them be invited. She seemed to think John admired Brian Albert and wanted to go, but it was really other family members at their table who were being invited. She said she saw John walk toward the side door and waited for him to check with the residents and call her, but he didn't call her or answer her calls, so she left. I've wondered how she expected him to get home with no jacket. She may have thought he would call her when he wanted to come home. In any event, it appears there was a lot of snow under John's body, and there should not have been. Even when Julie Nagle left at 1:45 am, she said you could still see some grass. It's as if he vanished. Heather, the former girlfriend of Ryan Nagle, saw a male in the passenger seat of Karen's car when it made a right turn into the street right before they made a left turn into the same street. The next time she looked in the car, it was only Karen. There was no high speed or reverse movements of her vehicle. All I can figure is that maybe John snuck off to take a leak on his way into the party and that he was assaulted then. His body was moved, because there wasn't enough blood under his body from that gash on the back of his head. I think those are claw scratches and claw punctures along the outside of his right arm from a dog. I don't think a racoon would do that. The dog may have found John's body after it was already down. The fact that people upgraded their phones and deleted evidence means they were hiding something, but I don't know if it means they were hiding evidence related to John. His death may have been an accident, but I think his body was moved. So, why?

If they had good evidence, they would not need to spend multiple weeks asking a group of family and friends the floor plan of a house. I don't think jurors find not guilty because of a bad investigation. Theres a very big difference between saying this person probably did it but they are not getting a fair trial so i'm going to find them not guilty (which is a very high standard to met as a juror and more of a matter for an appellate court) and knowing that the investigators and prosecutors are intentionally not collecting and providing evidence because that information would cause me as a juror to find Karen not guilty and demonstrate somebody else was responsible. As a juror I would also be very angry that the prosecution thinks i'm stupid enough to not see through all of this and not be aware of very basic things, like when Brian said he didn't hand his phone over because he got a new one, a juror knows Brian AND the police would be aware that apple would prompt him to sync all his data on his new phone. The would only do something like that if the data demonstrates a different person was responsible for the crime. That gives me a reason to go beyond reasonable doubt and believe that the evidence has been intentionally withheld by the police and witnesses because it proves her innocence and someone else's guilt.

I didn't see this as a slip-up. John certainly "was there" at the house, which everyone knows because Karen drove him to the house and he was found dead outside the house. The witness didn't say he went into the house or was inside the house.

@@-HeyLyd- Alison was talking about the vast amount of nasty harassment the family have been subjected to.

@@popsylol None of the family members are on trial. The only person on trial is Karen Read. We are going to have to wait until the trial is completed to decide if Ms Read is guilty or not, so does the jury. The jury is not sitting to decide if the Albert family is shady, they have to decide if Read is guilty or not. The aggressive lawyer is making me nauseous. It’s not his place to harass, harangue or bully the witnesses. Personally I would refuse to be spoken to the way he is speaking to people. I’m surprised that the Judge hasn’t warned him about his nasty attitude. I wouldn’t be surprised if his attitude is why he isn’t getting answers to his questions. He is getting every witnesses back up.

I believe that when Karen pulled up to the driveway, John jumped out and hurried in the side door. Then pulled up to the mailbox, this is why none of the 3 in the truck saw him go in and why it was only Karen they saw in the suv when they pulled away.

She is a decent actress. Notice how she rarely looks at the Jurors during all questioning. Except cue the "The Door has been opened, ill allow it" questions on harassment. She then looks directly at the jurors and wells up some amber tears (no tears). The staring at the jury along with the facial expressions and the "Cant I have a moment" was well played buy her and I think she scored points with the jury. Of course no door was really opened for it. But that does not matter if you have biased Ref/Judge

The Life360 data sounds like exact gps and tower gps alternating when the exact gps didn’t register. Your Apple API gives obfuscated data to 3rd parties. Only you signed into your own icloud looking at Find My can see exact gps data in real-time. Otherwise you are getting data at 30 to 60 second intervals. It’s not uncommon for this obfuscated data to give a gps location centered on a cell tower or centered on a poorly localized location circle.

Re: The transfer of stuff on the phone. Even though many items will transfer, the meta data doesn't transfer, so changes can be made but it would be more difficult to prove the real dates, times. The timeline on the 360 app sounds like a drug dealer who gets calls for a buy and they leave to deliver it. Used to live next door to a dealer. The night calls made us crazy. He finally got arrested and we finally got to sleep through the night.

They are not on trial they are witnesses to the events of that night/morning. However if they had cause to arrest, police could subpoena Apple and get all the data they need. Everything done on an iPhone is automatically stored and saved on the Cloud. It’s really easy to look at all the data. Every touch is saved exactly as it is made. That’s how people transfer data from an old phone to an upgrade/ new phone.

The thing I find the most interesting is that Ally’s text line up perfectly with their synchronized but demonstrably incorrect testimony. They both swore he came home 10 minutes after Chris. But he was picked up before Chris even left the bar. He should have beat him home by 5 minutes or at best have arrive simultaneous if he took 5 to leave the house… There are lies happening but it hard to know why. I really wish someone had investigated. I think there is a good chance that Karen hit him accidentally and either didn’t know or got freaked out and left. But with all the holes in the investigation and the fact that it seems a guilty verdict means taking the Albert families word without any scrutiny and would make me uncomfortable.
