Listening to this ed guy on comedy cellar and holy shit. Freezing cold takes.
Dan is clearly still chomping at the bit to snarl that phrase "RAW DOG"!
Interesting episode, thanks! 1) If Noam hasn't read The Best Minds or interviewed its author Jonathan Rosen, I think he'd enjoy it. It's a pretty literary treatment of the mental issues suffered by Rosen's childhood friend, with a lot of side jaunts into how the legal and medical systems fail the severely mentally ill. 2) The ongoing Coleman Hughes/Radley Balko debate on Chauvin is pretty interesting, and I'm looking forward to Coleman's next article on the subject.

Actually, by coincidence, I'm reading it now. I'm up to Son of Sam.
Whenever Mental Health is involved and there is no Crime of any greater significance..1-2 people of mental health professional training.. together w specialized training for matters like this..working in tandem w the police as a specialed team outlined specifics together.. should be deployed..and hopefully get patient to surrender transport to hospital..and or arrested on other kinds of minor or applicable charges..
