if you took notice today on the vertical inlet, when the cover was off, there was a radiator directly in line with it. So, not an s-duct but actual cooling.

Peter, why is no one linking Carlos Sainz moving to RBR in 2025. He is a proven points winner and would probably give Max a run for his money

I see that the RB vertical inlets are similar to some fighter jets to get rid of the low pressure around the sides air and use it for cooling. It's not new but it's a smart application of the "system".

It looks to me like Max is gonna be about a second or two ahead of everybody else in less than 5 laps on raceday. Nothings changed then. Thank goodness we’ve got Peter’s videos to keep it interesting.

Newey is a god - been a fan of his since forever. Big respect for him - RBR not so much. Really enjoy Peter and Scarbs breakdowns too - the tech is the reason I dig F1 so much

Aren’t “aero-racks” dangerous, when cars crash? I know they’re not driving on the limit themselves, but others might. I remember we lost Senna, because part of the front suspension entered his helmet… That might also happen with parts of the aero-rack. Thanks👍👋

"No Red Flags in W15."?!? Did we watch the same testing session???? I saw Hamilton's displeasure with the new Chassis and Suspension validated and his voiced frustrations that they wouldn't listen to his input when designing them. Which was something discussed by two ex drivers during the session about how 85-90% of car development after a new design comes (2022), is derived from driver feedback to get the car in the best possible place for the driver. This is something Merc Did NOT do with the W14 or W15. And it showed with it smashing, yes smashing into the ground right at the breaking point of turn 1 as well as turn 8 causing Russell to constantly lock up. So who in their right mind would say that car has "Improved"?? They will again have to raise the car, sacrifice floor downforce which is 80% or more of your total downforce to keep the car from breaking in half. All this because they built a horrible chassis and suspension, not taking any driver feedback into account.

I just saw the race simulations from Max vs Lando and Russell. Max is between 1 and 2 seconds a lap faster on each tire compound. At least the battle for the final podium spot will be exciting.

Max did some long runs, he didn't do a race sim. Russel did a race sim. It's very unlikely max/redbull is 1 or 2 seconds faster.

Ah, you must forget 2014/15 Mercedes 1/2 and then Williams with massa bottas and stroll rounding it out most weeks, part owned by Toto Wolff and supplied a vast amount of parts by Mercedes..

Adrian Newey is old school. he has common sense, just use what works, think and diagnose why others failed and then improve it to where it works or if it’s a total fail, discard it. It doesn’t take rocket science to generate speed, it takes clever innovation. i made an airbox out of old ice cream plastic containers on an rc30 honda and force fed it with more intakes into a still airbox situation, notified the officials, they approved it, then, when it won against bikes two years newer, it was disqualified for modifications. Old school common sense works without spending millions, lol.

@@chandamubanga not True.... only Max is ahead... you never now witch driver would be second are third... Lewis, George, Fernando, Carlos, Lando, Oscar, and if i remember well, also Pierre and Ocon where on the podium.... that are 9 different drivers on the podium... that was not the case in 2014

JPM would’ve snatched that championship right away from Max. He wouldn’t have thought of Max as anything special - just as Juan didn’t think much of Michael, in that regard. He had a champion’s attitude and believed he was just better than anyone else. That is why he wouldn’t stand for any of Maxs’ antics. He would simply get on with it, no matter who stood in his way.

Peter you are awesome - but not even you can make F1 interesting when there's zero competition in the sport. Last year I could only watch the races after they were finished so I could fast forward through 99% of it. The entire season last year had about one hour of exciting racing. This year looks to be worse. Can someone wake me up when this sport is competitive?

Mclaren taking the safe rout - important gains, good Ferrari taking the same rout giving their drivers a stable car first and then upgrading - shit. The amount of bashing ferrari gets just annoys the hell out of me!

I admit I cannot stand Toto, think he is fake as F, always the finger pointing and accusing other of what he himself likely do, a Saul Alinsky special if you like? Maybe the environment create people like that I don't know, but when LH won I did not throw my toys out, did not threaten to leave or stand up demanding or even hinting at no fun, rule changes needed, etc.. aso... I waited and waited with all the patience in the world, and like you hint at I tried to at very least admire the supreme car (or PU) they put together. So no I think some comments are aimed at that and some may even believe themselves they are in fact neutral, humans, we are weak that way.

Hamilton and Ricciardo need to retire. Both will flame out this year.

I'm pretty much done with the sport after seeing that practice. Verstappen looks to be a second and a half to 2 seconds faster than everyone else. What a joke. Lando, Le Clerc, Piastri, Russell, Hamilton fighting for the podium spots. The only hope for a decent season will be if Rob Marshall implements the Redbull on the McLaren by mid season. Those that practiced at night had the better of the conditions which produced a second better times.

I can understand your frustration but this is F1 where the focus of the sport is on the car and team rather than a driver. It’s not a popular view but it’s down to the other teams to deliver a car that can compete with the Red Bull just as it was in the Mercedes, Red Bull & Ferrari eras where exactly the same criticisms were levelled at Hamilton, Vettel & Schumacher.

It's better then the merc era, now it's often 2 podium spots.... you only an LH Fanboy, otherwise you stopt watching after 2014. It was always this way. Lewis has 103 wins.... Schumacher 91... vettel won 4 years in an row. In the 80 en 90tees the front cars where lapping every other teams every race. So why complaining now???
