Live Editing Sessions - Capture One : 4th April 2023

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Join us live, for an hour of interactive raw editing with your own photographs and images in Capture One Pro.
(A few people mentioned a drop-out, which caught my attention off-guard, but I can't see anything in the stream that looks suspect? Very strange...!)

Hello Paul! This time I couldn't be there life in my favorite editing session because I was in Germany as a guide for pupils in the eleventh class. I regret it because I saw today the session in KZread and it was great like every time, First of all I want to thank Paul for every time, coming back to the basics. This time, I learned that it doesn't make sense to try to fix some clipping which is showed by the red warning light, if the clipping comes from a small light or something else. Obviously, it was one of my mistakes in my editing, I always tried to fix the red cliping with the external wheel in the lights of the color balance. So again the video of Paul fixed that. I have a question about the second picture Paul :you used the skin tone color to fix the red halo in the sun. But on my screen, despite the fact it was obviously better after your correction, the red halo was still there. My screen is not bad (special for Fotos and architecture), calibrated, but I could still see a soft red halo. Was it normal??? When I put my Fotos on paper, I always have exactly what I have on the screen. 🤔🤔🤔 Thanks Paul for all and for your answer.

“Wouldn’t it be good if Capture One would tell you what had changed?” (at 48.49). YES, it would! It needs a history panel so that you can see what has changed. Lightroom has it, every other RAW processor and pixel editor has it, but not Capture One. It’s an amazing, glaring omission, and one which is a frequent inconvenience. Why on earth will Capture One not include this basic, obvious functionality?

If you use layers and name them, that would work, would it not?
