So many people critiquing this but I doubt most of them are actually in D2D. It’s not a perfect pitch but he literally got a girl who has had her door knocked by roofers 20 times agree to have them do an inspection and come back. He made it seem like it was happening and he was just informing her. Pretty good.

I have way more luck with the 1 sec flyer. Me and my friend Benny tested it. He knocked on doors in a neighborhood in the morning I taped flyers to mail boxes in the afternoon. People he talked to for 20 minutes called me asking what brands we carry and if any of them had a veteran discount. No one wants their day interrupted by some fast talking salesman unless their l selling ice cream or Kirby Vacuums. A flyer they look at for 1 second before deciding to read further or toss is all you need.

No. Public adjusters get into roofing sales all the time. Its literally the best fit for them because they know all the loopholes to get around “the man”. Thats a pretty wild comment there!

Yup PAs are scammers and I get lumped in with them. They get paid for putting your balls in a legal vice grip. I don't get paid unless the client gets a new roof so I sleep like a fuckin baby.

Mislead the homeowner; she has no idea it’s about solar didn’t even mention it once. I’m not a sales expert but as a homeowner I’d respect the hell out of a guy more if he just straight up got to the point and told me the numbers without any of the sly bullshit . The names aren't fake. This is a roof inspection, not a solar sale. Neighbors often know each other, so it's useful to namedrop people you've already talked to to build rapport, even if it wasn't that day. I believe he lost this one when he started talking about his childhood restaurant. You have to be able to gauge the temperament of the person you're talking to, she wasn't a talker and she also didn't really give anything to work off of to help him relate the issue to her. The hardest sale is selling to someone who doesn't talk much, so you have to give opportunities for them to answer questions, and you build off their answer.

-Assuming they’re fake names - complain about rapport (also complain about name dropping?) when she only has 15 min -it’s not solar, watch the video instead of complaining. -if you were at the door it would be a conversation with you, not the lady who was at the door (seems obvious) Much love to you Luke but here’s the Pros I took away: - took the presentation as far as he could - belief in the service you provide will show in the questions you ask - knock for 7 days in your hood milk comebacks instead of being straight to the point and running away because you’re scared of rejection.

He's overselling. Talking way too much, which makes it obvious that he's trying to sell them and the customers see right through it.

Just get to the point stop the sleight of hand shit. You're a roofer you aren't "different" from everyone else and as soon as she sees that and realizes you are indeed trying to sell her something then the trust is gone and you lost the sale
