I loved the colors you chose for the flowers of the horse . I chose some very bright pinks. They don't look like a cherry blossom but they are pretty. LOL. I love to watch you color. You show a lot of light direction that I often forget about. I just ordered your newest book and can't wait to get it.

Johanna have you ever thought of drawing an entire book about all things Scottish. Thistles, bagpipes, bodhran, kilts, fairies, Castles, whisky, tartans, brooches, Tams, thatched cottages, etc. all in your own style. This lass would surely enjoy it and buy it.

Good afternoon Johanna flower, i LOVED, LOVED,LOVED colouring in books when i was small as it transported me to a different world entirely. I went into Waterstones to get a book for one of my friends and was commenting on why no one did colouring books for us adults to one of the members of staff, because i seen the childrens books yet again but they just don't hold enough detail for me. THis lovely young man says " Have you looked upstairs madam (he obviously didn't notice the disabled scooter that i was , lol) because we have just had a brand new colouring book come into us two days ago(that will give you a hint on when i bought your first book) and it is flying out the door. I told him that i couldn't climb the stairs and he very kindly went up and brought it down to me, but he obviously knew just what i was looking for because down came The Secret Garden. Well WOW WOW WOW, not happy with colouring it all in, i had to get another to do in other colours. Thank you Johanna flower for bringing my dreams to life in the form of wonderful books of sheer works of art because i do have all your colouring book as well as your year planner/diary books which i use as my short time calm down and i don't care that they are out of date as diaries, they have beautiful pictures to colour in. Can't wait until this drops on my doormat for new images to play with. I must be thick but it didn't occur to me until i heard your voice that you are a fellow Scot and just up the coast from myself down here in the Wee County or Clackmannanshire as it is called. Thank you bringing magic to a whole section of like minded if frustrated colourists like myself that long for those innocent days of tranquility and calmness to return to their lives. I’m with you on the whole Prisma VS Polychromos! I started out with Prismas, but I hated them so much (actually ruined a colour piece) that I gave them away & made the massive purchase of my Polychromos! 5 years later, I haven’t looked back since & ONLY just having to start buying spares! ☺️❤️

Something happened to me during lockdown and I dunno but I ended up having a massive cleanup of my colouring supplies. I had too much stuff so I've started again and just brought the 36 packet of Staedtler ergosofts pencils which I'm going to colour this book in. I still have my Prismacolors but I feel there is too many colours to choose from and I think that's why I stopped colouring for a bit.

Have always colored with prismacolor ,but recently purchased your ergo soft , I do like them but they are hard to stay sharpened for me , if I sharpen with any other but thestaedtler they get too long and break. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong. Have any one else had trouble

I have the same problem with the sharpener too. In Australia as have fabercastell classic range of coloured pencils that come with a little sharpener . I have found this to be a really good sharpener. Give this a try

Where to buy your book?

I am trying to draw the Tree in How to Draw Inky Wonderlands. This is my first attempt. Do I mark the tree in 1/2 and draw the branches. I don't know how to use the sketching paper to do to the right side. Which brings me to to the question, do I draw the whole half and other half as well with sketch paper? I just can't get my mind around how to do this. I have decided to make my own leaves. I have minimized them on the printer with plain paper. I hope I can make this work. When I figure out how to draw the tree, I will draw the leaves as well. I know you are working on another picture, but I would appreciate your help as I watch you work on this one. Love horses

To answer the question: I'd rather have 20 sets of 50 pencils in different brands. I find they all perform a bit differently, and I like being able to call on that depending on the "look" I'm going for. That doesn't stop me from buying the 120 pencil packs though :D

Hello Johanna! I just want to let you know about What’s going on about Artezas pencils on KZread right now. I have been thinking about buying these pencils but after doing a bit it research on KZread I won’t. A lot of people have had trouble with these pencils disolving when combined with water. This should not happen with a pencil that is not promoted as a watercolor pencil or water disolved pencil. Please dig in to this a bit so you don’t promote a pencil that doesn’t do what it should do, since your followers deserves to know the true story of these pencils and this brand. It seems that Arteza know about this but doesn’t inform their customers about it until they discover it on their own and take contact with their customer service. So please think about this before recommending these pencils, and let your wiewers know so they don’t buy a pig in a poke. Best regards, Sofie
