I love this book and share it with my husband, he has a very heavy hand so I put white copy paper under his page and a piece of cardboard that comes as a backing for writing tablets. That way the page below does not have debossing marks on it. We use blending pencils to blend our colors. We do enjoy your books so much. Pammie

Heard you say you were using Arteza pencils. You might want to test your pencils on a separate paper to see if they react with water. Some people are reporting that their pencils are water soluble to some degree. Which means they will react with any wet medium, like a sealing spray, watercolor, posca pens, any mixed media stuff. Apparently Arteza has known about this for some time. They say they have a new formula, but some people are still getting the ones that react with water. I'm not sure if they are lightfast yet

Oh my goodness,, I hope that im able to get this book, it's lovely. I completely understand about lockdown I have literally been in my house since February 29th of 2020 because my health issues make it to where my doctor advised I remain in lockdown Non-Stop. I have had to leave 3 times in order to get my medication and that's it LOL. Good thing I'm an animal portraiture artist and I stay at home most of the time anyway because otherwise I think I'd have gone insane LOL. I hope that you are doing well and that your zoom birthday party goes well. I adore your work I have since Secret Garden. Sadly I only have two of your books and one of your post card sets now. However this month I'm planning to do a page from one of them on my channel during a Friday live stream. Please stay safe my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as well as so many others.

I really like the border! It looks like washi tape.

I have used watercolour markers on small details in one of your books. That worked well as long as I didn’t try to go over them more than once or twice. They definitely don’t bleed as much as alcohol markers.

Do you use erasers sometimes? That can help with either errors or blending paler colors.

Which do you prefer a blender pen or the wax blender pencil? Love from Ontario, canada

I'm having dificulty with the burnisher as well. Te result seems flat and very distant from the promised sheen of light. I must be doing it wrong

Hello Johanna! I just want to let you know about What’s going on about Artezas pencils on KZread right now. I have been thinking about buying these pencils but after doing a bit it research on KZread I won’t. A lot of people have had trouble with these pencils disolving when combined with water. This should not happen with a pencil that is not promoted as a watercolor pencil or water disolved pencil. Please dig in to this a bit so you don’t promote a pencil that doesn’t do what it should do, since your followers deserves to know the true story of these pencils and this brand. It seems that Arteza know about this but doesn’t inform their customers about it until they discover it on their own and take contact with their customer service. So please think about this before recommending these pencils, and let your wiewers know so they don’t buy a pig in a poke. Best regards, Sofie

Arteza will NOT ship to Australia, that is a real peeve for me. If we buy them in Australia if our money is just as good as anyone else’s then we should have equal service options. Not happening. Sometimes it feels like some other countries think Australia is on the moon 🌙. Anyway having said that I love Arteza products. 😀
