Don't ever say you failed. Failure is a lack of trying. What is for you is for you. Your day will come and you will catch a record breaker when you're not even thinking about. I thought I was gonna have to find a new youtuber when you kept saying 'My heart is racing' 😂😂😂😂. Tight lines my brother and keep the content coming.
I live in fort Lauderdale for 4 years back in 2015 to 2020 I sure miss the beach lure fishing 🎣 a great channel man ,awesome , ! congratulations to your wife, she did a great job ☺️!!
Thanks for being honest about the effort that goes into beach fishing. You see some channels and they make it seem like they pick off fish every time out. I have been spending time doing both insure and beach, but will definitely put more time into my beach fishing.

Depends on the area and season, you can definitely crush it from shore. But without a doubt, a boat, even a small one (I started fishing salt water with a 14’ aluminum as a teen, I paid 230$ for it) is by far the best fishing tool you can get yourself after rods and lures. I had gotten really sick of watching boats out fishing me. I didn’t even have a motor, I was 14, I could row fine.
Awesome video, you are one of the only people who actually makes sponser announcments actually enjoyable. Because of your video im going to buy my first set og NLBN. Thanks
Very great video!! Definitely convinced me to try out nlbn for beach even for the little 3in size 🤘🏽
Dude we wrecked em this fall! South Hutch was on fire for weeks! Some of the biggest snook on Avg I’ve seen in awhile! Lots of high 30s and I managed 3 fish over 40” this season all on small baits and small live pilchards and greenies! They did not want the big baits! Love your content brother, keep up the great work my man! For the dream! Yeeew! 😎🤙

Great Video and I’m a semi-fan of NLBN because they do get get bites and the heads are great but are also very expensive due to the tails that rarely last more than 1 target fish. Tails are just too soft
You are the best fishing KZread channel out there! Get this man more subscribers! Also how have you been liking the Vsx2 ?
About gettin' chaved off, I'd try some 7 strand titanium, 50lb should be plenty, probably 40 will do, I really have good experience with that stuff, my personal choice is STROFT NiTi(only goes up to 80lb, gonna try the 100lb AFW soon), damn expensive but it lasts, plus you don't need to be worried about frays and the thin leader doesn't scares the fish in my experience, also allows for smaller lures since it's so much thinner than mono, with a swivel or solid ring spliced to 40-60lb hollow core and the only thing you need to be worried about is pulled hook or a wrapped up shark
Awesome, awesome video ... loved the story of your unfilled quest this season and especially loved the videos from last season when you and Vik slayed 'em. Bought back a lot of memories when my buddies and I spent years chasing beach poons back in the days before the condos walled off the beach accesses. BTW I also noticed you're also rockin' the new Van Staal VSX2. Will you be doing a review of it soon? Just curious how it stacks up to the old VSX.

Should be very careful when going in neck deep water to release a big tarpon like that. Big Hammerheads and Bullsharks love to get ahold of a big tarpon like that. There is usually always one around when there is a tarpon nearby
If you like life bait, I recommend to just snag a fresh one on the new spot, a sinker and a treble on a snap are enough to attach, no need to re rig
Freakin Amazing Brother! Well done and thank you for sharing.

I really did while growing up in Lakeland doing the hardcore, worst weather, mosquito infested type fishing. I will admit, NOT ONCE did anyone bring up or talk about Tarpon fishing from the shore. My parents retired and moved to Satellite Beach. It’s not tarpon fishing, but once a year I get a “Get out of Jail Free” card to visit them. I typically take the Gheenoe to the Banana River, but I may have to try surf fishing again. At least one morning or evening.

Great snook! If you handle the fish by the gills it’s chances of infection and death are higher Handling with a bogo or fish grip keeps the fish a lot healthier

That Purple color is 🔥 Snook can’t stand those NLBN. I caught a 43” snook off the beach a few years ago on a bass rod and 300 size baitcaster. The fight was epic glad I had nothing to get broken off from and could just let him run

Great video, but these relentless pursuits after snook and tarpon in FL for MAYBE a handful of fish are what really make me miss NY. Back there, you could easily catch dozens of bass every single morning during a sandeel run. At MTK you could make a killing with dozens of fish in the 20’s and 30’s (lbs NOT inches). Down here, it seems like a hell of a lot more work for just a few fish. People get excited when they catch 2-3 fish. In NY that’s considered a bad night. Oh, I wish I didn’t miss NY surf fishing so much 😢😢😢…
This video pumped me up to do more beach fishing ! I’m better at flats then the beach but only way to be better is to do it

Most of the time it's a simple steady retrieve, but I definitely mix it up. sometimes I bounce it off the bottom, sometimes I slow roll it, other times i try and fish it fast a high in the water column. Basically I mix it up until I get a bite!

I know the feeling of that hunt. I hooked into a possible nj state record chain pickerel on my lake. After a ridiculous fight I finally got it top side. I tightened the drag and that was my downfall. It turned and went for its 6th run and broke me off. I’ve been after it ever since. Turns out the state record was caught in my hometown on the lake across the street 65 years ago. I really think this fish has a chance to be a new record and I won’t stop till I get that chance agsin

Down here in Florida chain pickerel are treated like a trash fish. I like them though, they fight hard for their size (for freshwater).
@atamagashock
Жыл бұрын
@@nickleback3695 yeah they are trash, and typically if I see one chasing my bait, I yank it away. However this beast could possibly be a record fish. If not a record here in NJ, it’s a damn big one. So I’m making an exception for this fish. Although if I’m being honest, I wouldn’t mind seeing it being eaten by snapping turtles, since it’s definitely hurting the bass in our lake
What size reel where you use ??
What is the manufacturer name of the 8 inch flat tail plastic lure you were using? I like the action. I could not understand your pronunciation of the manufacturers name. Thanks

Live bait always works!!!
what color NLBN would you recommend for each circumstance?

I like purple for silty/dirty water. Then white or green for clear water. When they’re some bigger forage around I really like using the 8”. Realistically though I constantly change colors and sizes whenever I’m not getting bites

barbless hooks
The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel kzread.infoUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.
Take me back 😩

Guys fighting a fish and you roll up and start casting right next to him? That interferes with him being able to move where he needs too, and is plain ignorant.
Clickbait thumbnail for the simps, clickbait title for the noobs at fishing, all fake information to sell a product. If there is fish they will bite your live bait, they might even bite your artificial. Getting on fish is the challenge. Don’t be fooled into buying shit you don’t need.
