Littlesax Unboxing (like Xaphoon or Pocket Sax)

Музыка

This video is about Littlesax Unboxing. I'm a guitarist/keyboardist, not a woodwind player. Years ago I owned an alto sax to noodle around on. I thought I'd give it another try. With shipping, this cost me less than $35 on eBay. It's got promise, but it's going to take some work for me.

I just got my little sax, and found this video. I laughed soooo hard, it was like watching myself in a mirror.....dog included. Except mine howled. If we were in band together, I think the band director would have said we tied for last chair. Awesome video, thanks for sharing.

@@kvegh A reed needs to be wet in order for vibration to cause sound in the instrument. Unless you have a synthetic reed. I think by "roll your thumb" he just meant to carefully place the reed in alignment with the mouthpiece.

Had to lube the reed a little bit longer. It was still dry and stiff. Also, u alternative position to line up the reed is bring it to the edge of the lip of the mouth piece, and then past the edge about 2 millimeters and tighten the clamp. This helps with breaking in new reeds, as the little extra bit of the rees will catch the air pressure a lot more easier at first. I used to play with Rico 3s and 4s hardness reeds. That was the one was to help, and then re adjust the reed to almost flush with edge, now that its been broken it. There will a slight bend at the reed tip, and will now catch air easier. And the same note for everyone was im guessing possibly not covering the octive key? Also, try not to clinch your jaw too much, as your lower jaw articulation is an important part in directing the air flow towards the tip down of,the mouth piece and reed assembly.

Very amusing. I ordered one and then found this video. I'm in the same boat. Play guitar and drums and studied Sax when I was 12. Now I'm 56 so I'm sure I'll have similar results to start. I'm happy I'm not investing in an expensive model because I suspect I would have the same results.

The shape of the mouth: the mouthpiece above the protruding upper lip short, placed in the neighborhood of this location The first play of LittleSax, whether novice or veteran, must carry lip exercises first: Don't press any holes, Put the LittleSax into the mouth to casually play. Adjust the depth of mouthpiece containing, when LittleSax produce "the most natural, the most carefree, the most resounding" sound, this position is correct. In this embouchure position playing more practice, let your lips adapt to this reed. In addition, the lips should be appropriate relaxed, if the lips too hard, will put the inlet blocked and no voice.

I got the same pocket sax. But it is very bad. The finger chart is not similar to all other woodwinds. And it is almost impossible to sound (even I know how to play saxophone a bit). I finally give it up. Now I get a "dood" from NUVO. Similar idea of pocket sax or clarinet. That's great and much much easy to play. With the plastic reed, I can even play it when taking a bath.
