for sure :) its always awesome to see a family unit in nature. Our first litter of pups here a few years ago we had this kind of dad 'Bear', he doted on his pups as much as mom, would have fed them if had the right parts, and when they got going after a few weeks he would so gently wrestle them and let them tug on his face and tail and whatever, snuggle them to sleep etc... we've had a ton of pups since then from different moms and dads, i've never seen this action since compared to Bear and his kids

I think the same. Amazing to watch. Relaxing, too... To watch how gentle dad is with children. I love watching the Momotaro family too. Dad is just as gentle as this one.

A lot of humans can learn peaceful parenting by watching this precious family, Poor little Ringo, the stronger he gets the stronger Jabali gets he just can’t seem to catch up lol. But he is determined, and will never give up trying to one up his brother

He's def gonna catch him eventually. Challenging his big brother helps him improve. & Jabali challenging his mama & papa helps him to grow in strength.

You mean the part where the female misbehaves and the male throws her to the ground and slams her and bites her. If she continues to misbehave he will take 6 inches of her hide off with a bite. Then she gets up and starts spraying crap everywhere because she is so upset. @gregsutton2400 Exaggeration....Gorillas are extremely peaceful and shy animals. DJ weighs over 400lbs & has a bite force greater than a hyena & just under an 8000lbs hippo. He can easily kill everything in that enclosure. He did not hurt Tay at all. Silverbacks rule mainly by intimidation. He came nowhere near hurting or injuring any of them. His role is to guide, protect, and maintain order w/ in his group. Besides, they are also very tough creatures. The sister-wives were fighting & he broke it up. She slipped down the embankment. She wasn't thrown. ..This family has a highly cooperative relationship. & DJ has proven to be a remarkably mild mannered and tolerant father/husband. This group sets an exceptional example of harmonious living.

@@Mr.Oct___ I described exactly what happens. I showed a video of it. This woman thinks humans can learn from that. Do you think that? lol It is a healthy gorrilla family. And it can turn into that fur and teeth fight at any second.

Ringo is very brave!

What a pleasantly engaged and benevolent dad. A little distant, clearly a man with things on his mind, but the boys aren't ignored or resented. Truly the image of a good patriarch.

@@bridgetmonica31 sorry I took so long to get back,, this is just my opinion and mine only please don’t think I’m a gorilla expert or anything,, No he is just making sure that (because Jabali is so full of energy and very rambunctious something like a human boy’s can be lol,) Jabali understands I’m the boss and I could hurt you if I waited too but I love you little one here’s a warning to take a chill.. I got to remember this myself that’s the silverback’s job to keep his troop safe and in or under control at all time’s no matter how old they are.

That father is so gentle with them. He really loves them. I had no idea they interacted with their young like this. I did see how mad he can get when they first brought him there. It was terrifying. To see him act like this now it's hard to believe it's the same animal.

Dad really is gentle gaint.

I love gorillas. The button butts on the youngsters are so cute. God's sense of humor is so cool.

Beautiful 🦍 family, Jabali just adores the attention from D'jeeco, he always has a big grin on his cute face. Ringo is always coming to "save" him which is so cute. Then seeing the two boys galloping together is wonderful in the lovely green enclosure ❤

Check out little Ringo @4:20! I guess he didn't like the extended "Tickle Bite" Dad was giving his Best Buddy and Brother and charged over to punch & pull Dads hair, ( thinking he is saving him ) & making Dad stop. Ringo really looked mad, even after Jabali gave him a tumble. Then the "hero", Ringo leads his big bro away from Dad. With his, "My bro is lucky to have his strong and brave little Bro to keep Dad in line! Thank God for ME!" ;-) I still think Ringo will be a big Boy and a bad ass in a few years. He is a sweet little guy, but when he is angry, he just charges whoever works him up and does damage. A little wrecking ball!

The female repeatedly comes up and touches the male as he is roughhousing with the young to remind him to be gentle. His behavior immediately changes.

The babies do not seem to be a bit afraid of their dad .Th😅is is different from other gorilla families to where the babies don't want to go🎉 near the daddy.

An people say they are just animals well I could only hope to as great as they are with there kids

Love watching these highly intelligent beautiful creatures but wish they were free & not imprisoned in these awful man made prisons. Maybe if humans experienced what animals do they'd think twice about exploiting, abusing, torturing & killing them. I agree with you, but it is happening & will keep happening, at least this troop are so lucky to have one of the best enclosures & natural spaces I've seen. I take comfort in knowing & watching this troop for 3 yrs, they are a happy family. That's my take away from something we have no control over. Jmo.✌️

It may not be what I think everybody wishes for, but the zookeepers do a fantastic job, as well as the sanctuaries staff, the guards, and everyone actively looking after, donating, or protecting all animals. I do have hope that their numbers will increase😊

I have noticed that while the moms like their boys to play with big daddy.,they are always watching,..It is like they don't really trust dad fully.

So special to be able to watch these amazing animals show so much love . How on earth are we as a society allowing the slaughter of these creatures is it our need for power that's over riding the true meaning of why we are here and how we should take care of all things on this earth including us. There's such an abundance Of all things such a shame. To let people go without thus thrusting them to take the Gorillaz life to make a living so they can eat how sad.

When he discipline him and goes back for more so obviously it’s not working.

He has no neck, his head sort of just sits in the clavicle..
