the new guidelines are only for unlicensed tournaments (locals and such), and it seems like licenses won’t be hard to acquire with how it’s going so far in japan

@@thenoseguy my best guess is that the guidelines wont be heavily enforced, theyll be more like a failsafe in case nintendo has to step in and shut something down thats really bad. maybe im being too optimistic but i dont see things at the local level changing too much in the foreseeable future

@@megazerosaber it doesn’t matter, marth fair isn’t challengeable by anything link does besides a read. that’s why the common response for any marth player fighting a slow character is literally just fair them out. it’s ridiculously oppressive. nair can’t deal with it because marth fair is disjoint and fair can’t because it’s too slow coming out. it’s just not a good matchup and the only reason Aklo dominates other Marths that aren’t Zain is because they are passive and don’t challenge his moves

@@biggiecheese2004 It does matter, he missed punishes and got punised for trying to use f-air which comes out at frame 14 instead of n-air which comes out at frame 4 and has a lingering hitbox. There's a reason why it's the most used move by nealy every top Link player.

@@megazerosaber I mean I’ll give you credit where it’s due that nair is a WAY better move than Fair but again, it can’t challenge marth fair at all and it’s literally the only move he has so it’s super predictable. Link is just unfortunately held back by bad frame data, if he was faster he could be an easy high tier

i used to dislike watching Hbox play puff because i hated the gimmick of 'rest' but as years come you start to appreciate the effort that goes into it, subtle neutral movements etc especially against cody you can see Puff-Fox is basicly like 30-40/70-60 its just that Hbox had the match down to a science that it looked in favor of the Puff before but seeing Cody schmoove and groove made me realise how wrong i was

@@MLIolahis problem is that Zain is a problem matchup for him and he isn’t good enough at fox to start forcing the Link. His link is LEAGUES better than his fox. He usually does good against marth, it’s just Zain is his kryptonite and he hasn’t gotten his Link vs Marth good enough yet to not get spam stuffed. He bodies Kodorin because he’s campy af but Zain challenges everything with Fair and Link doesn’t have that many options against that. If Aklo can find a way around Fair stuffing, he can beat Zain fairly consistently imo

and if mango could just contain his on-fire-falco to the point where he doesnt go for the more risky plays and just channels a little bit of PPMD he would be unstoppable but IMO since he goes berserk he makes tiny errors wich people these days just convert of.

Death threats are bad. But Leffen himself sends his rabid fanbase to harass anyone who disagrees with him. I am pretty sure many top players get death threats all the time. If you give in to them, they will keep showering you with more. If they were legitimate ones, he should contact authorities first. Nevertheless, I hope he stays safe and gets to play more, even when I dislike him as a person a lot.
