Listening to Elvis Presley after a tough day at work.

After a long day at work, I felt a bit down.
So once home, on went Elvis Presley music to make me feel better.
Elvis gets me through tough times.
100% Pure Elvis.

Nothing better than a bit of the king to cheer you up. Bringing It Back is a great track. In fact Today is a very underrated album😊

I agree with you - some of Elvis's LPs around that era were among his best, but only the longer term fans are aware of them. The newer fans have mostly been exposed to concert videos and albums, and movie soundtracks, and they have a lot to catch up on!

HI Mark, really honest video I watched this my wife tonight and she really empathised with you(in fact she got very emotional) as she also suffers from depression and anxiety her happy place though is usually classic comedy dvds in the morning to lift her mood but whatever gets you through and in our case it is Elvis (who she is also a big fan of by the way!.) keep on doing what your doing Mark as your doing a great job.

You are a good chap, Mark. Thanks for this video. It’s important that we don’t keep our feelings bottled up and secret when we feel down. I am in a long period of anxiety and unwelcome change, and about to spend a week alone without my son. I’d like to do something special this coming week but it’ll be business as usual.. early mornings and coming home late. Elvis has got me through many challenging times in life. He is my never changing, always refreshing fountain of pleasure. Whenever I am hurt by someone or take a hit in some situation, I always know I have Elvis. My discovery of Elvis predates major relationships, marriage, parenthood, everything. It’s a part of me that can’t be taken away or spoiled. I have a pretty huge and varied LP collection now and I don’t listen to Elvis as much as I did at 16, sure, but he is still the core of my collection and home base. Whenever I am down I turn to Elvis. And yes, Bringing it Back is bloody marvelous. 😀

Sounds like you are doing it tough Jim. I looked for your channel but you don't appear to have posted anything. Perhaps if you did post a few videos about your Elvis collection, you would get some positive feedback and make a few online buddies like Mark has here. Hugs from Gina in Australia

@@Patracat Thanks for your lovely reply, Gina. You are right about the channel, I started it years ago to post Elvis vinyl records which I had recorded. I reconsidered the quality of those recordings and decided not to post them, and then family life got in the way, and frankly, a KZread channel about records was the kind of project that received little support from my partner. My son, on the other hand, now 15, has his own channel and is keen to get mine off the ground - he makes it all look easy! Yeah, we are going through a bad period, but there is light. Just us two living together will be a welcome change, for all the preceding unpleasantness.

@@elvisonwax That was a nice surprise to see you pop up on my screen! There is always light at the end of the proverbial tunnel....so many of Elvis's beautiful gospel songs attest to that, and God only knows, Elvis himself sure had enough hurdles to jump despite his wealth. Make the most of your son's support - I'll be one of your first subscribers once you get it up and running! Check mine out if you have time, always something crazy going on there, LOL

I started my KZread channel to help me cope with PTSD so when I get PTSD I can look back at good memories to help cope with PTSD. Keep up the good work and keep Elvis close to your heart. Thank you for sharing another excellent selection of Elvis lps.

It wasn't EASY to find a good Condition Copy of this original UK Vinyl. My first one was in really bad Condition, my second Vinyl looks a whole lot better; btw an amazing Bootleg CD-R was available a few decades ago... Thank you as always Mark!

Oh dear, Mark, it sounds like you have an awful job. None of my jobs have ever been that bad (I left them if they were!), but my late husband Ken had some bad days when he was a bus driver, dealing with the public, chaotic traffic, suicidal people walking out in front of his bus, and so on. He would get home and put on a DVD of Andre Rieu to calm himself down, or if he was angry, it would be Scottish bagpipes as loud as he could. I only put music on when I feel like listening to music, and it isn't always Elvis, but lately I play his records and CDs more often. If I am seriously down hearted, it isn't enough to hear Elvis, I have to see him, and have been known to binge watch 4 movies in a row at night if I can't sleep Being retired from the work force, I can do that now without worrying how I am going to get up in the morning and go to work. Don't know how long you have until you retire Mark, but trust me, it is something to look forward to
