Minecraft IS one of the game with the bests OST They can be : - Joyful - Sad - Scary - Goofy But they all, in their own way, are beautiful and really representative of the game. Even with the differents composer (C418, Lena Raine, Aaron Cherof,...), they have all really understood the game and how to express it by the music Minecraft as some of the best features , as fully random generated world, craft system, free building,... But what we remember anyway, what make us feel the more nostalgic, is always the music So huge thanks to those who gave us this game I grew up with

After so many unfinished cities, with only 3 or 4 buildings in them, I have one that I have been working on for over a year now. It is more extensive, it has larger and more buildings, and it has everything else from bridges to refineries to a giant model of the backrooms. If for whatever reason I lose the world, I will become a terrorist.

I made a huge base that the world got corrupted in and it had a bunker, lockdown system, armory, labaratory, dormitory, I giant room for multiple uses, a lobby, a control room, and even fish tanks and a horse stable. I built this base twice but both worlds were either accidentally deleted or lagged out from a machine I built. I never finished it. And the annoying thing is that it was underground so there was lots of digging and I spent days on it.

Mice on venus makes me... remember. I dont know why or how but it just does. Argueably best song in minecraft.

The only bad thing about the new music and what makes me prefer older versions if we are talking about Soundtrack, is that Lena Raine's songs are tied to specific biomes. It's no longer that they are totally different from C418 or that they sound too happy and expressive instead of calm and lonely. It's more, I think she did a really great job...but The real problem is mining or building for a long time in a single biome and listening to the same song over and over and over and over again, just because the biome prioritizes it. After a few times, I end turning music off and opening Spotify. The old music played randomly, you never knew what was coming next or if there was going to be one. Your favorite song could play 3 times in a row, or maybe hours and hours of continuous playing with music and suddenly, 15 minutes of absolute silence. It is true that some like Sweden or Living Mice were more likely to ring at sunset, but it made it equally magical and mysterious... not predetermined. Hope the point got clear enough. I'm not that typical veteran who thinks Minecraft stopped being Minecraft at version 1.2 and I only play alpha, but yet is true I miss some old mechanics.

Once, after a long day traveling with my brother, we stopped in a motel. We lied in beds turn of light, and I set the End music to play on a loop. It was surreal. As the time passes the music disturb your thoughts less and less and your consciousness melts in a halfdreamm... 🌌tun-Tun-tun-🌌TUN🌌-tú-tu-tun tun tůnn tuuunnnn.... 🌌🌌🌌 It probably played couple of times before I realized through the dream in was still planning and turned it off while barely awake. Genuinely the best music in a game ive ever heard period, nothing else in gaming has so much emotions packed into their music

I will always love and remember Taswell, Dreiton, and the two Moog Citys. For quite a long while until the Better Together update which fused the Mobile, Xbox 360, and the Xbox 1 version of Minecraft, the Xbox 1 version only had these 4 music sounds. It was either those, music disks, if not, nothing at all, and I loved all of the sound tracks, even if there were only 4. The calm and relaxing nature of the Moog Citys, the more happy yet chill Taswell, and Dreiton, the music that always encouraged me to go exploring. Good times...

I think C418 is a genie. Because only genie can write SOOOOO beautiful, sad, nostalgic and at the same time masterpiece music. Thank you C418 you bring me my kidness.

01:23 is one of my favorites. It’s unsettling in the beginning, but then it gets really sad. Kind of like looking through the horrors of the nether and seeing the desolate landscape that was once a flourishing land.

I only have one request from Minecraft: PLEASE let C418’s third album be added into Minecraft. I’m pretty sure it’s up to Microsoft, but my #1 wish is for them to let C418’s songs in, just on his demands and not theirs, because that’s the main thing keeping C418 from putting his third album into the public’s hands.

@@clem7542 it’s unreleased atm but he’s made it clear that he’s had a whole nother album behind closed doors, bigger than the others. Apparently his last tracks added (from the Update Aquatic) are from that album. Just seems like all the others in it have been unable to be released due to all this legal bs

Even though I didn’t start playing Minecraft until like the Aquatic Update or the Village and Pillage update, the old tracks still make me feel super nostalgic. Tbh I just think that C418 is just a fantastic artist in general

The other artists are not bad in the slightest, but there’s just something about C418’s style choice that’s so… resonant. Idk how else to describe it. Perhaps it’s just a subconscious bias, but it really does feel like other artists’ songs are missing one key component about them that the C418 songs just hit basically every time, and I’ve yet to find out what it is.

You definitely don’t have to be a long time player to enjoy any of it lmao, I’ve been playing this game forever but my favorite update has to be the aquatic update

I dunno why ppl hate on Leina Raine. Her music is not only a great contrast to C418, but it’s also still Minecraft music. I do love that Samuel Aberg, the creator of the Aether mod, was the one who made Five. Also, the Bedrock Edition music is GOATed. Maybe a bit of my Bedrock bias, but it is gorgeous, especially the Nether and End themes.

I love Leina Raine's music. People hate on it just because it isn't C418 and it's really sad. When I first heard the new soundtrack on my new world I immediately fell in love with it. To me it felt like playing the game for the first time all over again. But don't say that to the people wearing nostalgia glasses, they can't understand that people can like new stuff.

Honestly, the one song that always sticks out to me is The End. It really does feel like a recapping of all you've been through in this game, with all the leitmotifs and such, and yet feels like an entirely different song. It also recaps everything in 15 minutes, the longest song in the OST, and yet, 15 minutes is barely a full night/day cycle. At times in the song, you also feel like this is the end of it, but it continues, all to end on the sound of a record player stopping, almost being replayed, and then being taken out of the record player. It's the end of that disc, but there are plenty more discs in the world.

I love that you added that it sounds likes it’s almost replayed, kind of adds to the reality of playing Minecraft and growing out of it but still enjoying the memories it gave you I could talk about and listen to c418 for hours oml

I miss being young and not having to care about work or college and getting jobs and just being able to play games all day with my online friends. It sometimes feels like I'm the only one who longs to go back to these times but they've recently ended for me and I can't help but wish I'd lived my youth to its fullest. I'm 16 now and life is only getting more difficult. I have to work and pay to see my long distance girlfriend and I recently got kicked out and I can't even play video games until I get a new house. Hopefully we'll all be able to relive these old memories soon enough but it's time for a short rest. It's been a long few years... Wake up... It's 2023 now. You've been asleep for a very long time. Minecraft? Oh I'm at work, sorry. Maybe in a few days? Offline for 6 years...

The fact that a lot of these are people or animas looking like they are deep in though is so accurate ahahaha. I'm glad you included some of the newest Minecraft songs. Blind Spots is one of the most Nostalgia inducing songs I think so showing the old games was accurate. I love Minecraft music.

Subwoofer, Mice on Venus, Sweden, or Minecraft literally sounds like a song that would’ve been played by those Musicians on the titanic would play to calm everyone down when it was sinking.

Beginning 2 hit me like a goddamn truck, reminding me of the days where I would play the Xbox 360 Edition with my brother, casually sitting in the floor and messing around in our dedicated Creative world.

As someone who plays creative mode I get always earraped by Taswell, Dreiton, Biome fest, Blind Spots and Aria Math and I miss the survival OSTs

Ballad of the Cats, Mice on Venus and Mutation have to be my favorites. Something about them just hits like none of the other songs.

But nah, I learned how to play Sweden on the piano. And it’ll always hold a special place in my heart.

Idk how but c418 some how made the creative soundtracks and the survival ones fit there respective game mode so well

I’d never cried to an OST until today. This game was {and still is} my childhood (peaceful times). Much respect to all the creators and people who helped Minecraft blow up community wide.

Listening to okd Minecraft music feels like opening an old photo book of yours and scrolling through your old photos

All of these make me nostalgic, even the newer ones. All of them encapsulate those feelings i had when playing the game, even when it was modded

its just so perfect because all the og songs are perfect, and i love how dry hands was sad, otherside was also perfect, floating trees was sad in a different way, and moog city was perfect because you showed a futuristic city, as moog city was for creative mode, being almost magical by doing anything you want, and infinite amethyst was sad because it is suprisingly close to c418s work, and i also love how sweden was depicted as a masterpiece, and how rubedo works perfectly with a wasteland environment as its meant to, along with chrystopia, and far is a big empty space for creativity, and minecraft is nostalgic, and so below is serious, and subwoofer lullaby is a peacful song to enjoy life with, and alpha and intro were super nostalgic, and mice on venus was a calming day in the snow, which reminds me of my first survival world, and one more day was just beutiful, and biome fest represents the natural beauty of the world, and ancestry was offsetting, and key reminds people of the old days in minecraft. (3:11 was a banger btw)

From time to time I like to play the songs from Minecraft Volume Beta on random and lay down in bed with my eyes closed, it's a sad but happy feeling flow through my whole body, is hard to put in words, its an experience

6:28 Sitting on the couch drinking a coffee, hearing Blind Spots and seeing those old games from the 2013-2019 era, I cried man, i miss the old days were i used to just down and watch another let's play series without stress and a care in the world. I wish, really wish evan if it's just a day that I could go back and revisit those days.

4:49 I recently rediscovered this song. This is the only song that has one of the best ost for dimensions. The ambience of the bouncing synth, the calm piano, and the nostalgic songs in the beginning of “The End” a true masterpiece. It makes you feel like your are exploring space at a whole different level. Which is exactly what the end is suppose to describe. Just keep going until you can’t.

As an og player, the old songs hit much harder. But oml are the new songs so peaceful and sad

You described the feeling of The End accurately. That part of the music is so good, I swear it belongs at the end of an apocalyptic or adventure movie, where the main characters stand on a cliff or mountain and watch the sunset after saving the day. I'd go to The End just to listen to the music sometimes.

This is the only reason I am glad to be a part of this generation. Minecraft’s unfathomably, awe-inspiring, and absolutely out-of-body experience inducing music

It just feels strange to remember... something that's never truly left. The video was like a constant switch between remembering the past with the old music, and acknowledging the way it dosen't feel the same with the newer music. I remember minecraft when I played it. The nearly instant atatcjment to the game when I played iton the Wii U for the first time, the somewhat terror of my very first night, how much I sucked, even the time I tried fighting wolves because I thought they'd give me food if I beat them (I died in under seven seconds). Because I was so bad, I left it for three years until when I moved and was reintroduced to when I had to show my step-brother the ropes on the PS4. It was rough at first but then, we did a lot together there. When we played survival, we would aid eachother, mine, farm, everything really. In creative, his main obsession was TNT and anything that would cause chaos. While I'd challenge my building skills. In minigames, I practically ruled over the skies, while he'd be able to beat me in battle and tumble. Later on, we explored the newer updates wich were all cool in their own way. Now we're almost grown, and... listening to this reminded me of the days we had fun now that we don't see eachother much and we haven't touched the game in a long time. Thank you for reminding me of the old days, whether good or bad, with the video of each and every single masterpiece of a beautiful game.
