i remember building like 5 huge buildings and i called it my city, me and my cousin were working on it and our older cousin got jelous that our city was getting attention so he deleted it, he didnt admit it at that time but a few years later he laughed it off. it was actually my first good world i had, i cried so hard when i couldnt find it. no hard feelings towards him tho

It funny how nearly a whole generation grew up playing this game. To others, it may seem silly of how we cry whenever we hear the songs playing from it. But to us, it reminds us of the good days. It almost seems as if we have all grown up to quickly, and this is the only thing that we remember playing from our 'child hood'. Thanks Mojang, for everything.

I was sleeping in 2014, heard an ad, woke back up in 2024, cried a bit.

We all started from a block, we were too young to play seriously so we went to the villages to destroy everything, when we grew up we started playing on multiplayer servers: Hunger Games, Bedwars, creative, buildbattle.. We stayed in front of the computer all day in those hot August months where the only worry was not to die of boring. Complaints from our parents telling us we needed to hang out more, but we had our friends on discord that we met online. Now we have grown up, we no longer have time to play, we think about our future, work, girlfriend and grades at school. Yet before I go to sleep I sit on the bed and still think about that creeper who destroyed my house.. (sorry for my english, I'm Italian)

You know, nostalgia is a bittersweet feeling. You get to reminisce on good memories you had, and it’s nice. You remember how much fun you used to have, and how happy you were. Yet, at some point you stopped doing these things, or at least it changed. You’ve grown up. You’ve gotten older. You no longer get to feel or witness those experiences again. And even if you could, it isn’t the same. Nostalgia is bittersweet for these reasons.

man… reminds me of how long my brother and i spent on our world, how many dogs i had, how sad i got whenever they died. The good memories i have from those times… i’m not sure i’ll ever get a simple joy like that any time soon, if ever. I know it sounds kinda dumb talking about a videogame like it’s a person or a place, but this was my childhood. staying up “late” on summer nights playing with my friends and brothers, making stupid jokes and stupider builds. I miss it.

I remember when I told one of my friends my favorite game was Minecraft. He scoffed and said “What are you, 12?” He will never understand like all of you do.

Steadily once a month I listen to soundtracks from minecraft, it evokes pleasant nostalgia for the time when I was so carefree, when I didn’t think about tomorrow but only about today, I remember not the time when I learned about minecraft, but what I was like when it happened Previously, I listened to certain tracks past my ears, but now I realized that they somehow got stuck in my head and stuck tightly like a click into the past for a couple of minutes. I don’t know why I’m writing this, I’m generally a private person, and it’s unlikely that anyone will read this, just let it stay here, but if I read it, I’ll just be surprised that someone... then he’s interested in these posts, maybe these are the same people who came here to get some experience, okay... just have a nice day! we can do it.

Remember when you used to put your arms in your shirt, and told everyone you had no arms? You'd sleep with all your stuffed animals, so none of them got offended. You had that one pen, with six different colors, and you'd try to push all the buttons at once. You'd pour soda into the cap, and pretend that you were taking shots. And how you'd watch the raindrops on your car window, and pretend they were having a race. Remember when we were kids, who couldn't wait to grow up? I still play Minecraft even if my parents and friends make fun of me, none of that matters to me. all the maters is that I'm still having fun and enjoying a great game. Remember all the fun times you had when you were younger, remember playing split screen at your friends house and finding diamonds for the first time thinking you owned the world. Remember trying to build huge cities and castles but never finished, remember all the adventures you would go on with friends. and what about the secret bases that you would make even though you knew you couldn't play with anyone. remember all the late night sleep overs and you all played Minecraft and got scared at the sounds in the caves and mobs jumped scared all of you. Just remember even though you can't go back, be happy that it happened and that you smiled and laughed, remember that you had fun and didn't have a care in the world. remember playing the mini games, and having a blast. Just because people, maybe even your own parents might make fun of you doesn't mean you should stop, if you truly love something keep going and have fun. go and open your old Minecraft worlds if you can. Keep having fun. go play Minecraft and make new memories, they might not be as impacting as the old ones but still, go have fun, make new ones build that city that you always wanted to build. let this music bring back the memories, the good times and write them down so you can go back later and read it and have a laugh. I'm 13 and yes people make fun of me for playing Minecraft but who cares, I know that everyone reading this can agree. Minecraft is a true masterpiece, and shall never be forgotten. go play Minecraft when your sad, go play with friends, or just watch the sun set with your dog. Go rewatch all you favorite Minecraft videos, tear up and relax, remember the good days. Minecraft is for everyone if someone treats you bad for it, don't listen to them keep playing the game you love, the game that made you happy, that game that made you smile when you had a bad day. I might not be that old to be wise and remember things from the old Minecraft and all but I do know one thing for sure, and it's that we used to get annoyed at the music and fight over the diamonds, we made army's of dogs and watched all our favorite KZreadrs play adventure maps and could not wait for the next episode. I want all of you to remember one thing, and that one thing is ,that no matter what happens in life stay focused on your dreams and never let anyone push you down, keep driving forward and persevere through tough times, and if you need a break go play Minecraft. Who knew a dark and rainy hut in Minecraft could be so nice… It’s like a memory you knew and never want to lose, a memory that tries to slip through your fingers but as it tried you only grip onto it tighter, not wanting it to leave you, not wanting to forget.

I always keep coming back to this video, I play this when I need a good cry and to get my feelings out. I struggled a lot with mental health and a single mom so growing up was hard but when I play this video I can just close my eyes and see the world like it was back then. I'm currently 20 and started playing when I was around 9 and being put in this massive box of bedrock and only a few blocks to choose from and build. Last but not least, and finally Thank you PaulSoaresJr For introducing me to this game and watching u run into a hill to make shelter. and the Minecraft mods that I will always remember like the spider queen. (If you read all this I appreciate it just wanted to say my piece and I would love if you shared your first Minecraft memory you have!) For those who are sad or depressed, Keep Pushing Forward. I'll be honest I'm depressed everyday and unhappy with how I live, I attempted when I was 15 and I always vividly remembering telling myself how I had a better chance of going back in time then even making it to 18. Yet here I am at 20, I'm still unhappy with my life but I got to experience a lot of things in between those 5 years most of which weren't good but I can easily pick the memories I want. Remember its hard to talk to people but it would be harder for someone who cares about you to have to deal with it afterwards. One of the bigger reasons I'm still here is my mother ,no matter how many thoughts I have or how many times I want to attempt I don't think I could. no matter how much I'm hurting whenever i think about my mom and finding me and dealing with everything is something I never want to do. (Ill leave this here I kind of just typed from the heart and thoughts so some of it might not make sense ^-^)

C418 is an absolute musical genius. As an amateur musician myself, I am constantly blown away by the quality he put into the music for a game that, at the time, was relatively small. The nuance of his music is incredible. I don't want this to drag on, but I feel most would agree that C418's tracks helped define Minecraft. Just walking, alone, while a melancholic track plays in the background. These tracks aren't theme songs or battle music, nor specific to a place or moment, yet they fit nearly every situation perfect. C418's tracks are some of the best examples of video-game music, hands down, and I think everyone would agree that all credit is deserved.

Minecraft is the closest thing we have to heaven on earth.

I have many memories with this game, all at different times. I played it for the first time with a friend on Pocket Edition, and immediately bought the PS3 version. I did not know how to play online, I invited my friends over and we played on that awful split screen. Then I had the game on my laptop. The PS3 version was an indispensable part of my life for around 4 years. Then I stopped playing. That was, until the pandemic. Our high school could not do our cohort's graduation, so a team of students modeled our campus on Minecraft and we basically had it online. Me and my friends rediscovered the game, and played it for nearly two years. We had a server where we did everything the game had to offer, we spent countless hours trying to get better on Bed Wars and even sometimes had a lobby of 16 friends where we did contests. Nowadays, life is much different. I am done with high school, headed to college overseas in the USA, I have a girlfriend, I still have my closest friends and I don't have as much time to play. Yet, every now and then I log on, either with my girlfriend or with my friends. We cherish the moments we had, go on new adventures and have fun. I'm still sad that I sold my PS3 with all of my games, not knowing that the console edition was basically discontinued and I would have had access to all of my old worlds had I not sold my PS3. Still, Minecraft is the greatest game ever for me. It has been a part of my life ever since I discovered it. Also, C418's soundtrack slaps. I listen to it when I study, sometimes as I sleep, sometimes when I just want to relax and when I just want to listen to some music.

Bro, this hits me so nostalgic, I'm from the last piece of Gen Z, but at least I grew up with this memories in my mind, I'm from Brazil, and here the Minecraft comunnity was so strong, and I started to cry, when I listened to Sweden...😢✊

I remember my brothers and I fighting all the time when we were kids. And as soon as my brothers wanted to break the argument they would say "Hey, wanna watch us play minecraft?" My eyes would go big and say yes. We would be in a hot room in the summer for hours and hours and not care. When it was dinner time, my mom would yell to get us to come downstairs stairs to eat. Minecreaft was our safe haven whenever we were fighting or our parents fighting. What an amazing game and music track this was. Truly👏👏

Me and my little brother and I have always loved Minecraft. He grew up with the newer players, and i grew up with the older ones. But we still can rant and ramble about it. I dont think he realizes that it's one of the only things we can bond over, especially if one of us dies before the other. It's a thing we shared for years. I dont think i can believe that I've spent my whole life loving a silly, little block game. 11 years, and im still going strong. It's honestly weird to think that i stumbled onto Stampy maybe 11 years ago or so and watched as it ended. It's a weird feeling, and after a while, that feeling turns to peace. My favorite song from Minecraft is Mice on Venus. I don't truly know why, maybe i like how it sounds? I do think that it represents how we all grew up. A steady pace that ends in the middle with a small blink to realize that we have been through just a small portion of life that will be remembered by only us. Only the mind can remember things that are important, and Minecraft is one of those things. We've laughed, cried, screamed probably, all over a silly little game that probably will grow old and die out slowly. But to the people who have grown up with it, it's more like someone helped to raise us if our parents didn't give enough attention or any attention at all. So many youtubers spent time from their day to make videos of a block game, and that helped to raise so many in just 15 years alone. I will just say this. The current musicians have made some great pieces of music, it is true. But not as good as C418's. He was the original music maker for this game. And no-one else can say that. It's his music I love the MOST. Above all others.

I’m going on a little rant but still idc. These songs remind me of the warm summer nights I’d be playing on my Xbox 360 and not think about how in 8 years time I’ll be such a different person. Ah yes, the game that brings us back to when we thought everything was normal and nothing could go wrong. The days when multiplayer wasn’t a thing so you and your friends would try to find each other on completely different maps. The days when you would bug your dad to play it with and get irritated when he asked how the controls worked every time. The days when we used to watch people make buildings and use mods but now they are just a figment of our nostalgic journey. Deep I actually wasn't with it that long (sense 2017 maybe) and totally relate. Bc I recently graduated, I'm getting very emotional when remembering highlights like Minecraft. Oh where have the 2013's to 2016's gone

I was born in 2011 and i still started crying when i heard this it just brings back all the best memories even from things thats not minecraft and if you feel sad or start crying just know we atleast had a good time and that will last forever and just listening to this is nostalgic

The music reminds me of when I would build a castle in Minecraft while I went to visit my mum in the hospice every day, I never finished building that castle

Not a single word spoken, yet this says so much. Almost fills an empty space in our minds. A space of memories long forgotten.

I 100% ride with this comment. I'm only 15 but this game has helped me through the hell in my life and has always brought me comfort. Wether it be playing through survival mode or expanding my fleet in creative, I always find it to be the greatest distraction I've ever come across. I thank Mojang for bringing us such a great game and such an amazing soundtrack.

A game that did so much for so many people

In my very first world in MCPE 0.11.2. Im making a roller coaster, i struggled to fly I don't know how to set the control button, im using the Second Player Person than One player person, one day for the first time im playing a multiplayer with my cousin, im So Happy!! We play survival together, make a City, building, And Laughing together, Yeah that was 8 Years Ago 😢.Now I've Tried to playing this game again But it feels different, i feel alone 😔 I Wish that i can repeat those gold days ❤ Thank You So Much Minecraft for bringing me A Tear, Togetherness, A meaning of family is, and Laugh. The first time I played Minecraft was when I was 13. I didn't have a PC or laptop and for some reason I couldn't play on my phone. Then I met a great guy on the Internet, who sometimes replaced my friends in real life. We spent a lot of time with him in this game (he also just started playing).
