It's still funny, because it's so ludicrous. The U.S. culture, or should I say, 'cult' of litigation, echoes that of ROME, based on which, apparently, it was structured. There is NO DOUBT [I'm an Antiquarian] that the precipice of total collapse, IS NOW and almost certainly, should Trump get himself elected, 'the Supreme Court' will be being told what decisions should be, rather than making them. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mpWhrc5mo9iegKg.html No Trump fan can possibly object to Biden executing Trump now. Even Trump can't oppose his own summary execution, especially if it's Seal Team Six that relieves the people of him.

I was thinking similarly, it sounds like the debate is between the SCOTUS argueing for and against their own jobs. The LAW should be the LAW not a generally accepted accounting practices or whatever GAAP stands for. Also, how can a person who is no longer THE PRESIDENT for several years both be asking for Presidential immunity without the accountability he took on when he swore to uphold the constitution on inauguration. This should not even be on the docket for SCOTUS. Talking of Nixon, he was lucky enough to be excused, this arguement should be, Guilty in the court and at the behest of the now President to decide whether to pardon or not. The former guys lawyer sounds somewhere between desperate and bullish. I actually feel sorry for him ...assuming that he does know the law.

He put our country first. Because he did it so well, the dems and the Biden Administration and Biden himself have been against him since before he was even in office. Pelosi created 1/6 and tried to lay it on the President. She's spent thousands of dollars trying to pin that day on him. Based on chief Justice saying that prosecutors might bring charges in bad faith or political driven charges, couldn’t the same be said about a SENATE that votes to not impeach based on political affiliation despite how guilty and how much evidence is presented of guilt? What would be the point of relying on just impeachment?? That’s why the FRAMERS didn’t want the government to have absolute control and for the right to hold them accountable and left the right to prosecute after presidency.

So, my question is this, why would someone who incited an insurrection while he still was in office, is now asking for sheer immunity from any crimes he commits if in office again? The question should be "Why in the hell are you asking for this power, this postion? What do you have in mind moving forward?!" The country has already seen over and over again his crimes, and The Supreme Court maybe granting him permission too commit more crimes against his country? Who's paying whom? It looks dirty, it sounds dirty, and it feels beyond illegal.

@flea7510 Nobody has incited an insurrection. You're just bringing up CNN talking points. Nobody has been found guilty in a court of law on that. The Supreme Court already said so when they rebuked Colorado craziness. Colorado said Trump committed an insurrection, again with nobody being found guilty. The court said they were wrong. That's pretty much the end of any fake "insurrection" talk.
