List of All Anti-Tank Guided Missiles in use by the Ukrainian Ground Forces Today

Ойын-сауық

Video description: As Russian ground forces are advancing to the main cities of Ukraine with huge numbers of Tanks and armoured Vehicles. Does the Ukrainians have enough defensive weapons to prevent from further approach? They have indeed received many anti-tank weapons from USA and other western nations to battle against the Russian invaders. Are these defensive weapons enough for Ukraine? Apart from NLAW and Javelin, what are the anti-tanks guided missiles that the Ukrainian ground forces have? This video presents the list of all the anti-tank guided missiles in use by the Ukrainians today.

@@zenko247 The Panzerfaust 3 has a bunch of different rockets, thus it’s not really possible to say they‘re ineffective, as it depends on what rockets Ukraine received. If they received tandem heat rockets they’re of course also pretty effective against ERA. The latest version used by Germany would be DM72A1 rockets which are an improved tandem HEAT rocket. It’s said to penetrate more than 900mm RHA behind ERA, thus you can bet that it’s more than capable enough of destroying the tanks Russia has deployed to Ukraine.

Only ones that stand a chance are the javelin, nlaw and The skif, although that's not really man portable, depending on the varient. However if you're facing a t90M with slat armor on the roof you're gonna have a bad time, you probably only have a 25% chance of knocking those out on your first hit with a javelin, significantly worse if there's fog or rain.

First, you are not a world policeman, and even if there is some dictator, who gave you the right to make wars, military interventions, bombardments in which so many civilian innocent populations died because you think someone is a dictator and you should change that one with a dictator which will be your pawn? Who will punish your dictators? Your country after WW until now made almost 80 coups all over the world, usually to change someone you don't like with your dictator pawn, as in Chile when your CIA made a coup against Allende and placed that fascists Pinochet. Second, you attacked Iraq because allegedly Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, but after you found nothing, you invented a lot of stories, destroyed the country, made a mess and power vacuum from which spawned ISIS. Why did you destroy Lybia? Do you know what kind of living standard those people had? But your country had a grudge toward the man who was holding that country together, a country that is intrinsically unstable because there are 3 tribes that hate each other. You destroyed their life just for "reasons". Why did you attack and bombarded Serbia? Serbians were fighting separatists, irredentists, Islamic radicals, but you decided that Kosovo is a nice place for building that enormous military base Bondsteel and you bombarded that country, ripped part of it, and made that puppet pseudo-state Kosovo...And you had a face to speak about the annexation of Crimea that was always Russian? you, hypocrites. You tried that s**t with Syria too, you killed ten of thousands of civilians, but there were Russians and you suddenly stopped in your binge destruction. Yes, I also wonder why would you support dictators, because you don't live in a democracy, your country is a militaristic plutocracy, the biggest bully in the world, and you are the cause for the war in Ukraine, that sucker Zelensky really thought you andNATO will help him... go, and you will start a thermonuclear war, you will be gone too.

@@ozymandiasnullifidian5590 After WW2, the USSR supported revolutionaries and coups as well. Iraq was attacked in the First Gulf War because it invaded Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, Saddam Hussain never signed a peace treaty. Iraq is now a democracy and is far from a puppet of the USA. Libya was attacked due to a UN resolution to protect the Libyan people. Ghaddafi sponsored the Lockerbie Bombing, at that time the UK wasn't his enemy. Serbia wasn't fighting separatists, Croatia and Slovenia both legally voted to leave Yugoslavia, Serbia responded with military force. And talking of Bosnia, the ICC found that Serbia was committing genocide against Bosnian Muslims who were not radicals. The USA has access to Italy/Greece, so why have a base in Kosovo that isn't secure and is surrounded by Serbia? KFOR, the peacekeeping force in Kosovo, included Russian troops. Kosovo and Crimea are not the same. Kosovo declared independence by its own volition and broke no international laws doing so. The Russian actions in Crimea was an annexation and broke several international laws (the UN wasn't allowed to monitor the vote, so it's void). Declarations of independence, if of your own volition, are allowed, but annexations are not even if it used to be 'yours'. NATO is providing weapons which have proven to be far more effective than anything Russia has, along with other equipment, training and crippling sanctions. We don't need to directly fight Russia, we'll just use money like the previous two times. Syria, the Americas were bad, yes, but Have you not seen what Russia is doing, its worse. They purposely target civilians, use cluster bombs and phosphorous and support a regime willing to use chemical weapons on its own people. You say America is militarised and a plutocracy. Russia is even more so. In the USA many don't look up to the military, but in Russia signs of the military are everywhere and criticism of it repressed with imprisonment. Russia is far more corrupt that the USA. Russia started the war by crossing the border with a huge invasion force. Don't worry in a thermonuclear war you won't have to worry about the USA any more, because you'd be gone too.

Why are Javelins the favourite weapon for Ukrainian soldiers? There are better ATGM like Metis M, Corsar, Skif, Kombat? Those having higher penetration and maximum range than Javelin. The Skif and Kombat having as disadvantage the ~30 kg weight but 5 to 5.5 km max. range. Do they prefer it because it is light weight and because they meet thin armoured vehicles like T-72? As I read that T80 has 815-920 mm thick armour, T-90 650-850 mm or 1150-1550 with Kontakt-5. While T-72 350-490 mm but T-72B+kontakt up to 1180 mm. So I don't know how often do UK soldiers meet these heavily armoured vehicles?

Because it is the only one known to be capable of destroying any armor system on the battlefield. It is also a Fire and forget weapon unlike the ones you mentioned. @@montys420- "no its not its aimed and fired like a LAW66 or 72" That's incorrect. With unguided recoilless weapons you have to manually adjust for distance. The NLAW's missile makes adjustments midflight to keep the flight path as straight as possible. So, the gunner only has to aim at the target, or slightly above the target in top attack mode. The NLAW also has a mode where it takes in account the angular velocity of the launcher (how fast you're aiming left/right), and then the missile makes the adjustment shortly after launch to move into a collision trajectory. Apart from those two adjustments, it doesn't take in account the target, like traditional ATGMs do. So, if the target suddenly moves in unexpected ways, the missile will still mis. That's the downside of this system. The upside is that it's lighter than other ATGMs and it can be fired as quickly as unguided recoilless weapons.

Ukraine without weapons from the EU and NATO wouldn't have been able to slow the Russians almost to a halt. Unfortunately, if the enemy captures weapons depots, they'll get some of your weapons.

Yes the Javelins and NLAWS seem to be used in a much higher quantity than disclosed from the media. Probably thousands upon thousands of them were already in Ukraine and they are VERY effective. However the Russian army is just as advanced and have a superb competent and a high quantity of troops and tanks that is already on the verge of overcoming Ukraine.

They are running away in big numbers and leaving their equipment behind. Their original plan was to take Ukraine in 4 days. The vast majority of the non-russian analysts agree that both the plan and implementation failed greatly.

@@FR-nt4ei They are not running away man, they did try Plan A which wasn't up to their expectation which was a quick victory by airborne infiltration and the mass spearhead attacks by the conscript, young soldiers along with the hardened Chechen forces which were repelled. However the main army has already moved in to take up the staging ground areas outside of the key cities and the key supply centers. They are only holding back the forces so that they do not get shelled by artillery and are conducting precision artillery strikes on necessary targets while they continue to encircle the main cities. The Russians have time on their hands and every day they are like a snake, constricting, closing the supply lanes, taking out the key installations, bit by bit, like death by suffocation. Ukraine did really well against the Russians and they performed admirable against all odds. However the sheer firepower and quantity of troops along with good mobility of forces meant that Ukraine doesn't have much time before she capitulates

@@ConstantineJoseph "They are only holding back the forces so that they do not get shelled by artillery and are conducting precision artillery strikes on necessary targets while they continue to encircle the main cities." My family is in the cities that they are shell with "precision strikes". They are wiping away entire neighbourhoods. Bombing schools and hospitals, residential buildings. 400 houses in Kharkiv alone are gone. My uncle's home is gone. Was that the necessary target? My parent's friends were driving out of Chernigiv by car, entire family is shot dead. You don't know what you're talking about. These things are just insensitive. Russians don't have time on their hands with all the sanctions. I'm not saying their army is weak. I'm saying that it's not motivated. Every day Ukraine is ramping up its global mobilisation and getting more help from the West. Russia is trying to get Syrian mercenaries and Belorussian forces into the war. They can't hold and police the cities they took. And they didn't take a single major one yet.

@@FR-nt4ei They are slow because they don't intend to level Ukrainian cities like they made Grozny into a pile of rubble. They are trying to win over the populace rather than making them mince meat buried in rubble. In Grozny, Russian tanks were known to have driven over building rubble as there could be anti tank teams or suicide bombers hidden beneath or inside every crag and hole. That was why they had to have a massive extermination strategy to root out all opposition. Not so in Ukraine because the Russians consider Ukraine a brother and apart of the Russian heritage, being the ancient homeland of all Russians. That is why the operation is slower due to the limitation of shelling, precision striking of enemy positions. Russians will usually not fire until fired upon as they want to take in tact homes and in tact buildings. They do not intend to level everything.
