    Incredible. My grandmother survived the Holocaust and even to this day through DNA websites we are finding long lost relatives of the family that did survive.

    I deployed to the Brazilian antartcic station for 13 months and it was close to the polish station (arcktowsky). Such Great great people! We had a great time working together there! Hope they stay safe!!

    Social history is fascinating . A friend's grandfather was a POW in Siberia durin WW2. He managed to escape walked to Poland & joined the equivalent of the resistance there. Such strong, brave people , tough times .

    Ta pani opowiadała w wywiadach 15 lat temu, kiedy to kręciła, że w Polsce spotkała ludzi, którzy mówili ze czcią o Hitlerze, np. jej taksówkarz, który ją woził. Ogólnie zmyślała, jak mogła. Ten jej kuzyn, to był człowiek pracujący dla Urzędu Bezpieczeństwa za PRL-u i nie miał powodu, by emigrować, czego ona nie mogła zrozumieć.

    Very respectful of Mrs. Kudrow. It would be helpful to have a historian and an interpreter during the conversation. The war time chaos and demographic shifts in Eastern Europe are difficult to understand.

    Why does the title of this video say a cousin of Lisa's father helped him DURING the holocaust? Her father was in the USA during the holocaust. He helped them financially after the war was over.

    I wish it was clarified how Yuri/Boleslaw was able to survive. The people in Ilya were killed in March 1942, which I would assume would be a few years prior to the Russians pushing the Germans back? Also whether Yuri was from Ilya himself and lost his family too.

    Why don’t they just have subtitles? We can read English. When someone speaks in a foreign language, they should be given the chance to convey what they have to say with written words on screen His testimony is so important and it diminishes what he has said.

    Although I was a huge Friends fan back in the day...this show Lisa to me in a whole and entirely heart wrenching new light! I do not see her as that character. But a whole person. This, for me, divorces her from that and puts her in the stream of all humanity. And tragedy! But I'm glad she was able to reunite with family.

    Learn about Ribbentrop Molotov pact or when the Germans destroyed Warsaw durong Warsaw Uprising to the ground and killed thousands of Poles the Russians stayed calmly across river Vistula. Or about Katyn where they killed 100 000 Poles. Learn how Stalin hated Poles.
