You did so well! I think the colours you kept are perfect for your skin tone and makeup style. You’re also so right that you don’t need every lip colour under the sun, just the ones that make you happy.

The subtle differences between shades can have a surprisingly big impact - I think you did a great job differentiating everything and talking us through it. I also liked that you swatched the shades that were really close as a direct comparison. As a side note: your eye makeup today looks especially beautiful!

I've never seen a declutter in this format, but I'm loving it!

I had one of those Charlotte Tilbury mini lipsticks (Glowing Jen) and I was able to use it up in about 3 months! Much faster than the 3 years it took me to use up a full size version of her lipsticks lol. You definitely get what you pay for with her lipsticks, they wear well, have flattering shades, feel comfortable, smell great, come in sturdy packaging, and have a long shelf life. I always have one on the go!

I loved seeing the colours divided into colour families and shown in swatches and on the lips. It was both engaging and informative great format! And you did well you were pretty ruthless seeing as you know what you wear and kept things practical.

About the blue-based-lipstick and the theory that says it makes teeth look less yellow, I never really understood that... I mean, yes, they are almost complementary colors, but the color theory should apply when you put one color on the other, i.e. when you have redness on your skin you put on a green corrector... but in this case, you put two complementary colors next to each, so the yellow of the teeth is more evident, like, when you apply an orange eyeliner to emphasize the blue of the eyes... at least, that's what I've always thought... 🤔 Good job on this decluttering Sarah!

I love this try on before declutter concept. I think the yellow teeth depends on your skin tone. I am cool toned and look best in blue reds and pinks and brown and pink nudes. I’m am loving the balmy gloss type lip products lately and not into liquid lips at all these days.

Aww. I'm sad to see the Jordana Mango Sorbet one go! You loved that one! I would have told you to keep it for the summer, and then let it go. 😄 I agree that some pinks with a blue base can still make teeth look yellow. I've decluttered a couple that I loved in the tube, but not on my lips. I don't know if I'm ready to tackle my lipsticks, but I feel inspired to go through my lip liners now.

It's so funny, my favorite shades on you were the Jordana Mango Sorbet, Melt Frisky and Becca Merlot all of which you decluttered (the Baseblue and covergirl Thrill Seeker and Clove + Hallow Fiesta are also gorgeous on your skintone!). I totally understand wanting low maintenance lip colors, I think that bold colors really pop on you though and it brings your whole face to life! On me light nudes age me, it looks so bad, also makes my lips look smaller even though they say that light colors are supposed to do the opposite.

This was so fun to watch! I’m sure I’ll be seeing others (including me) get inspired to do a similar video in the future!!

Your poor lips 🙈 I really should do something like this too tho. I like to rotate through my collection and swapping things out so I don't get bored but I have way too many. I have even more than you! 🙈 Thanks for the inspo, you've kept really pretty ones, they suit you so well! 💕

I have Elf persimmon too. I find it a little dry and a little bright-colored so I wear lip gloss over it

Good declutter. My way of decluttering lip products is a bit different: I don't care about the colour, a product has to go if I find the formula annoying. For example: does not apply easily or good: has to go Need constant baby sitting or else it's everywhere in my face: bye bye Does it pill up or wears uneven: never see you again. If I have two very similar colours I compare them for a few weeks and then decide which one is the easier one to wear.

I liked this format. I love brownish lipsticks even though they might not be the most flattering on me lol.

It's so wild to think back on lip preferences. When I first started wearing any type of makeup I'd wear those bath and body works lip glosses. By the time I was in college I was wearing red lipstick every day (I had one lipstick at the time and it was a rimmel london x kate moss lipstick lol I went through three tubes of it during college) Then I started wearing some kind of pinky nudes after graduating, still in bullet lipstick form. Then I moved on to liquid lipsticks when THAT boom happened online lol. I had a lot of NYX liquid suedes, in a strange collection of colors. And right before the pandemic hit, I was all about a fun statement color, didn't really matter the formula. But now my number one is a tinted lip balm. Or a lipstick that I sheer down with a gloss. I bought a red lip liner recently to see if that'd get me to like wearing my bold reds again (it worked out p ok but I still prefer a balm lol). Wonder what my next lipstick fixation will be 😂

i have a bunch of nyx liquid suedes in dark weird colors i used to wear on my lips just for pictures and the. i’d wear them as eyeliners constantly but now i never use them in either method 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@makeuplynzz I finally accepted this year that I simply don't wear them anymore, and got rid of the last few I had kicking around. I did manage to finish off a nude shade last year, but that's probably the only one I would have ever finished. And even that I sheered down with lip balms to wear it 😂

omg was the Rimmel x Kate Moss lipstick called Kiss of Life??? I was OBSESSED with that lipstick in college too! RIP 😢 I don't even own a true red anymore, and it's all about those sheer lipsticks and tinted balms!

ahh yes!! i'm sure I'd love that formula in a nude lipstick, it's just too hydrating for such a dark color!

Entertaining video! It can be so hard for me to not hold on to things just because they're a little bit different, you did a great job decluttering. I wouldn't want to be your lips now though.

I have always had a hard time decluttering lipsticks for that reason too!! Hahah they were definitely pretty irritated after filming this, but surprisingly they didn't get too dried out! 🙌
